I attended a work leadership retreat and one takeaway was to spin your words. Instead of "I'm so busy" "I'm swamped" say "I've been productive today" changes your perspective and those you are talking to.

I just love Landon. From him telling you you look like a princess to him telling you he doesn't like your hair like that he is very aware of you such a sweet baby boy.

You do such an amazing job! Since I returned to work, my hubby gets the kids dressed and takes them to care. They are fed breakfast at care and I pack their bags the night before so all hubby has to do is dress them. I leave home early to commute into the city - up to an hour trip most days.
When hubby travels for work I’m often able to work from home, but those are definitely full on days! I get them all ready and do drop off and pickup, and evening routine by myself most nights 💗

You ARE a boss mom! You inspire me and challenge me to be a better mom, wife and woman. When I'm feeling like slacking, I watch your cleaning videos and feel like I can clean happily and faster. This video just gave me motivation to wake up and put some make-up on, make my bed and dress...even if I'm just staying in. So thank you!

I agree with previous posters you definitely are not a hot mess...You are a MARATHON mama!! You really motivate me to be productive and happy as a working Mama. I work from home once a week but the rest of the week is in the office. It gets incredibly draining being rushed every morning. You inspire me to make more of the mornings even if it means to sacrifice sleep!

This video reminds me of when I had kids this age. I had to haul them to daycare everyday though and race to my job in another town though. It was tough, but we survived. Working from home sounds like a dream. My 2nd child pushed her limits too. We just stayed consistent with stressing “no” and moving her away from what we told her to stay away from. As she was older, we used time outs a lot. She almost thrived on discipline, knowing her limits and the structure of having consequences for her actions if she misbehaved. Good luck. I don’t know where you find the time to post so many videos. Kudos to you. Your kids are adorable.

My husband & I get up at 4am (he's in the logging industry) right now, it'll be earlier when he gets back to his normal job as a timber faller. We have two little girls (4 & 2.5) and my oldest is a "hit-the-ground-running" kind of kid! We also live off-grid, so it takes a bit more work everyday to get things done. (We run a generator for power, etc). I don't work a "job" but kudos to all you boss moms out there that do!!

Yes, I am in awe of what all the working moms and dads do! I have a hard enough time getting things done and I am a sahm. I do all the housework and yardwork, my husband works all day, travels for work, then comes home and does any computer repair, car repair, handyperson work (unfortunately I am not handy!). Boss Dad describes him perfectly!

I loved this video. Good job getting every thing done. It's hard. My eldest is 23 and my youngest is nearly 13 so I've been getting up like this for 18 years putting kids to school ect, then going to work. It is difficult because then the older they get , the more work you can do but you still have to get everyone up and organised every morning and then organise meals laundry whatever. And my husband tries to help but to be honest it's easier if I delegate what I want him to do then do the rest myself, then I know it will get done. OCD is big-time in my house when I'm in charge😊. As for potty training, I never did it with any of my 3, sure in the day I asked if they needed the bathroom and they usually went but I didn't stress, I just kept lots of spare underwear. And used a pull up etc during night or nap until they were dry themselves, they were all around aged 3 when they were dry all night. I just noticed they were dry then after a week or so of dry, I put them to bed with a waterproof pad below them. I didn't have any trouble at all xxx

Hi Brianna. Just had to say- I am the same age as you, but I don’t have kids yet. From what I see, you are doing a great job balancing it all. Great career, kids are happy, not to mention- you look great! I think like you said, moms can be so hard on themselves and don’t give themselves enough credit. Cut yourself some slack. I think one day we’ll all look back and realize sooo many things in life don’t matter that much. What matters is spending time with our family and friends and being happy in life as much as we can :)

My daughter took a bit with nighttime too. The best advice I had received (and will give to you too) is that she did not drink anything 1 hour before bed and go potty right before bed. And, as soon as she started to stir in the morning, I would guide her (half-sleeping) to the bathroom to get her to at least sit even if she didn't do anything I still praised her for trying to go as soon as she was up. The more you do this routine the better and he'll catch on - patience is key as you know momma!

My little girl did the same thing Presley is doing with the cabinets! She literally didn’t even care about toys... she just walked around, getting into the cabinets! 🙄 We finally had to put those cabinet guards (the ones where you open the cabinet & it’ll open a tad bit but then not go any further till you unlock it). I thought they were going to be annoying but I just put them on my cabinets with cleaner & medicine. Worked like a charm! She finally realized she couldn’t open them & has never tried again 😂

What a good boy! Our daughter is 2 years 8 months and is completely day trained but we do still do a night time diaper for naps and night. She’s still in her crib, once she moves into her big girl bed (probably for her 3rd birthday in September and before her baby brother arrives in November!) we will work on night training. That way she is more comfortable getting her own pants and undies down and getting onto the toilet by herself, so she will feel empowered to get up out of bed. We plan to leave our door open so she can grab one of us to help though in the middle of the night. It’s totally normal for night training to take longer some kiddos can even be around 4 or 5 when they finally get the hang of it! He’s doing awesome 😍

I had to laugh about not understanding "no". Once when my brother and his family were visiting, they noticed the covers over the door handles. My brother asked what that was for (his kids are about the same age as mine). I told him so my daughters wouldn't open the door and go down the stairs. He asked why I didn't just tell them "no"! Haha, his son and daughter understood no. I have three girls, so we had to take every safety precaution because my girls would climb up the pantry, climb on the table, open the doors, etc.! Life of a girls mom is always an adventure! Love your videos!

But I have to work. That’s what works for our family. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. Then on weekends I wanna spend as much time as possible with my girls. I agree that culturally at work not enough regard is paid to being a parent. As a former serious runner and marathoner I’ve had a lot of people ask me about my racing and I say “Being a Mom is my new endurance sort” ;) I personally get up at 4am to workout but took racing off my priorities because it was making me stressed. Now I workout to enjoy it and for health benefits and then get on with my mom and work life. Being a Mom is the best thing ever! :)

    OK I need that bracelet!
And I know you live in Ohio! I just moved back to Ohio, after living in Florida for 10 years & I just love the sound of the birds in the morning! When you showed your backyard and you could hear the birds, it just reminds me of how much I really missed that morning summer sound 🐦 ☀️

Your family is beautiful! To help young children learn limits and boundaries it’s important to use positive language and provide other activities as an alternative. At such a young age, children do not understand the concept of “no” and so it helps to use language such as “keep the cupboards closed” or with younger children it’s better to just simply say “close” and close the cupboard. They will learn after a short time since this is language they can understand and apply. In addition, provide activities where she can open and close something (like a book with interactive parts, or a toy with doors on it) so she can enjoy that instead. :)

I love you so much! I feel so inspired after watching this video. I'm struggling to adjust being a Mommy of 2. My boy is 2 and my daughter is almost 4 months. Anyway, thanks for the tips and the motivation! ❤ God bless! 😘

Both of my boys struggle with hearing no😔 what works for me is saying "we don't do that, we do _________ instead." I show them how to be a big helper and close the cupboard door and I make a huge deal out how helpful they are. I mean huge deal. Jumping up and down with them, clapping, telling daddy or grandparents how helpful they are etc. The focus is on helping and not what they shouldn't do. When I'm carrying them in the kitchen or whatever room we are in I tell them about dangerous things and what we don't do. It's working for me so I hope it helps. Sending love to you and your family❤️

Hey girl!! So for opening drawers- my psychology teacher said that instead of telling them “no” tell them what you’re going to do. For example “we don’t open those” rather than “no, don’t open them!” That will help avoid the so-called ‘terrible twos’ because they know more than the word no. Hope this helps!!

Im watching your coffee cup open sitting on the coffee table in awe. My daughter, same age as P, would be wearing that coffee in 3 seconds flat!

I don’t think you are a hot mess mom at all! You are amazing!! I’m a teacher and mom of 2 little ones, 5 year old and 1 year old boys. Maybe you could do a video on tips for adjusting to two kids. I feel like I’m still adjusting and my little one is a year old! It’s a crazy hard job and you are wonderful!
