I didn’t know he came to Korea! I’m Chinese ethnically, and I have been a fan of him since childhood because of the Ip Man movie and I recently showed my Korean boyfriend the movie. He loved it! He was super excited upon hearing Donnie Yen went to Korea. He’s also a big fan now.
OMG, he did the demonstration equally as good and with precision like in the movies. I dont want to be that dummy at his old age, he is so lethal. Amazing to watch
Just watch John Wick 4, Donnie Yen was incredible in this movie, such coolness with this guy. He has moved himself up to a Global super star status with this role.
The fact that he is an awesome martial artist can't denied but what always gets me is his great smile and modesty, He seems like an awesome guy to be around 👍
I used to be as flexible as Donnie when I was 5 years old. I'm not as flexible as I used to be, because I took my flexibility for granted and didn't exercise.
That’s my exact sentiments; Donnie Yen is the closest we have to Bruce Lee and the legacy he would’ve had if he didn’t pass away. With films like Flashpoint, SPL, Special ID, Kung Fu Killer, Donnie showcases a more grounded fighting style that fits to what Bruce Lee would do. Using MMA style strikes, grappling, ground fighting is what made Donnie the legend he is and I’m thankful to see it
Latest running man episode 640. He doesn’t appear throughout the entire episode cos of his busy schedule, but the segments that he is in is definitely worth watching.
Everyone talks about Jackie Chan and Donnie Yen. But Jet li was the bomb back in the days as well. I guess Donnie Yen didn't really kick off until SPL back in 2006. I still remember watching it in high school. It wasn't until 6 years later it blew up. But i was following him back then.
Interesting: I train in Tang Soo Do ( Korean Karate 🥋) in The USA. We’re quiet and respectful of others training around us unless they are a junior rank and they are doing it wrong. We’re not being loud because we’re observing and absorbing everything we can when watching a senior rank or someone with more experience demonstrating how to do something. Even if it’s something we can’t start working on for many years…. We OBSERVE QUIETLY & ABSORB. Because one day, we’ll be learning how to do it if it’s not a lesson for today. Btw: thank You/ Shie Shie/ Kamsameda to Donnie Yen for doing IP man! Those movies reawakened my childhood dream to train in martial arts, and after searching for a long time for a reputable school, I started my first class 7/2/2019. It’s the best decision ever and it’s made such a positive lifelong impact! ❤🥋
