This brings tears to my eyes. I'm currently living away from my family for grad school, and haven't seen them in awhile. I miss them greatly. This reminds me so much of them and the situation I'm currently in.

You might think it means Wealth Upside down, but the word 到 also means arrive, so 福到 means the arrival of wealth and good fortune. This goes to bats as well, if you visit Chinese temples or old buildings, you will find bat sculptures flying downwards on walls. The word for bat is 蝙蝠 (BianFu), the 蝠 word sounds similar to the 福 word, combined with the upside down word, the meaning becomes 福到. Bats are sacred, that's why you won't see any Han Chinese eating bats, usually those that eat what is considered weird food by the west are ethnic minorities.
