The Scofflaws were a ska band from Long Island, New York who played a traditional third-wave style. Though they haven't released a recording since the late 1990's they cannot be said to have broken up, instead remaining an active live act who still play locally on Long Island to this day.
The Ska in Hi-Fi album was their second of four LPs.

still one of my favorite albums that i own
My youth in one great album! Saw these cats at the milk bar in Jacksonville FL. I was so young my old man brought me. Love these guys!
YOU ARE WHITE.
I never got to see them live, but my dad and I (also in Jax lol) discovered their CD at a freaking dollar tree of all places and listened to it for months
@@katieburrows9176 love it!!!
I saw them at the cooler in NY, I don't have words to describe how great they were!
What a place! I bet I was at the same one- Slackers and Mephiskapheles
I was there as well. I recall seeing all these kids dressed as old fashioned paperboys and thought what the hell is going on. What an Introduction to Ska music. Used to go to The Cooler as much as possible as a teenager! Good memories.
Underrated album
I saw this live. Great band killer Alto!
Met them in Breckenridge Colorado, was a groupie after that. Phunky Phish in Bay Shore, etc. Great memories.
They played at a private party at my house......skatastic
YOU MUST BE WHITE.
such a good band
I actually hung out with these guys after one of their shows, they're really awesome!
The 3rd song is my favorite one
I'm a personal friend of Richard "Sammy" Brooks. Him and I did the crude artwork on the album cover.
Crude? More like classic!
Sick mid-90s computer graphics?
thank you so much for posting this!!!!!!!!!!!
Also they’re playing a free show tomorrow night Wednesday 8/16 at port Jeff brewery on Long Island! Ska will never die!!!
such magestic horns
scoofflaws the greatest ¡¡
♥️
Indo pra grumari de ska !!!
drive you crazy...out of your head!
Insane album . Very advanced horn lines and harmonies. Too bad the tenor player isn't up to par with the bone and alto. Bari a metronome perfect. Still one of my favorite albums.
🎉😂❤
