Hello my friend,
I think it is a good sprayer especially for hobby work. Best wishes. Thank you for the introduction and detailed information. See you. stay healthy and happy. Big greetings.
50 seconds for the funnel is perfect time
An hour ago it says this was just put on here!!! Ty ty Ty so much ordering now. This will be my second one my first one was more expensive than this one n sucked with over spray. Thanks again
Thanks mate. Yeah just don't thin the paint too much if you do thin it down. The fence paint i used had been sitting in a cold shed & was quite gloopy so I wasn't sure it would spray but it sprayed lovely
With my other sprayer I had used a semi transparent sealant stain for my fence from the brand Valspar and just in the can it was really gummy when it sits too long all the pigments settle to the bottom as I'm sure they would sitting in the jug for the sprayer as well that's probably what happened so before you start spraying always stir with a paint stick or whatever you steal your paint with in your paint sprayer jug as well I know they make extra containers to store your paint but just like a paint can you need to keep it stirred when you go to use it
Thank you Dave for the thorough review and tips at the end of the video. I will try out the same spray gun on deck today!
Another grate video dave if someone is offering you free stuff for a short video i say go for it👍👍👍
I just purchased one. Thank you so much for the wonderful video. Great tutorial. I appreciate it mate.
Really thorough review again and especially useful as I haven't done much spraying at all. Feel more confident to try it now. Cheers!
Great review Dave. Made me want to buy one.
Thanks mate, one things for sure I won't be brushing the fences again
Nice review, thinking of what I could do with a spray gun now.
Thanks mate, yeah I'm gonna try it in the house at some point. I usually hate painting but it could be fun
Brilliant review Dave , it seems like you get an awful lot of kit for your money, really makes me tempted to give it a go. Looking forward to you second video, keep up the good work.
Hint for the filter, kitchen roll has a fine mesh. Finer than the sponge. Fold in half & place between the foam & plastic grid.. you will clearly see dirt/dust build up. Replace the paper is quickest than fussing weigh washing ,& drying the foam!
Yeah that's an idea. Although it's so small it's not difficult to clean
Swanky Catwalk moved there Dave. Watch out for modelling jobs too!
Did you ever try the Lidl electric sprayer too?
Ha ha yeah I think I'll stick with woodworking. No this is the first sprayer I've had
A very thorough review Dave, looks to be great value for the money, the packaging looks very similar to the Jellas tools.
Hmmm this mob reached out to me recently too but I knocked them back, right colour, but nothing in their range that I needed at the moment. Good to hear they are actaully legit and decent. Cheers!
Another great video and actually I’ve just purchased a similar model but from Makita and cordless etc…can’t wait to use it…one question, did you have to water-down the `ronseal’ fence paint or can you use it neat?
Thanks mate, it did say it was suitable for spraying. It had been stored in a cold shed & was quite gloopy but I put it in neat & it sprayed fine.
Great review. Good looking, good value piece of kit. I am loking at a spray guns. Looking at the Erbauer EPS800 (more expensive, less capacity and only 1.8 or 2.5mm nozzels), Wagner 2369472 (similar price point, less powerful less accesories). Looks like the tilswall is the better choice.
Water based paint should i mix some water and jf so how much per litre Thanks good vid i bought it.
I didn't add any water on the video & I didn't think the fence paint would spray as it was a little gloopy but it did. It all depends on the viscosity of the paint. There is a viscosity funnel in the kit & if I remember there are some guidelines in the paperwork. I literally just put the paint in & tried it.
How would you clean this if using Zinsser Bin, a shellac based primery?
I would assume you would just flush it through with white spirits as you would with any gun
Great review as I have been thinking about spraying the internal doors of the house to obtain a better finish than brushed ( and quicker ) . What do you think about putting oil based gloss paint through it. Ps I think your cat walk presentation was quite impressive ( have you been secretly practising into the small hours 😁😁😁 ). Brilliant video which has pushed me more towards investigating paint spray wood rather than brushing. Thanks Mark
Thanks mate, I've been thinking about getting one just for painting fences & decking. Was surprised just how well it worked. It says you can spray solvent based paints as well as water based but I've not tried that. As long as its not too thick I don't see why it wouldn't but can't say for sure. I will be trying other paints in the future.
@@GrumpysWorkshop4 think it would be hard to clean the machine afterwards you would need to clean it through with thinners or white spirit and i dont know if that could damage the gun
@@keithramsay3340 // no you don't. Just put water in where the paint goes and spray it to the ground, etc, until it's all cleaned out and you'll know that by it spraying clear water. Hope I'm not too late.
Great job 🔥. Do you recommend to paint a wall inside house with these gun?
Aslong as the viscosity is ok I don't see a problem. You would have to mask everything else up. I think it says you can use emulsion in it
@@GrumpysWorkshop4 you have other gun spary for inside house that you recommend?
To me it would seem that this method would use less paint than applying by hand with a brush, assuming the paint used in the sprayer isn’t thinned. Do you think this is the case?
Great video btw, cheers.
Not sure really, I was thinking it would possibly use slightly more paint
Theres nothing coming out of mine mate, I have the plug one. Am I doing something wrong?
All I can say is check you have right size tip on depending on type of paint being sprayed, check viscosity of paint so it's not too thick & clogging tip. If still not spraying it could be faulty
Can you spray ceilings with it?
I can't answer that question as I've never tried. It is something I've been wondering. The tube that drops into the pot is angled so if you're tilting it downward you can angle it forward & if you're tilting it back you angle it backwards.
Can you use for ceilings and walls ?
I haven't tried that as of yet but aslong as the viscosity is ok it should spray emulsion.
@@GrumpysWorkshop4 thanks. Think we are using matt water based paints. Obvs first time doing so no idea 🙂
@@crclarke5251 it does say water based & solvent based paints so should be OK aslong as the viscosity is ok
Liked this video. The explanations and demonstrations were clear, complete and easy to follow. You'd make a good college lecturer. Thank you!
Thanks mate appreciate that
