Prayers for you and your hurts. Don’t know which is worse - your situation or mine. I have severe strength and finger disabilities and can hardly walk. But I have no pain.
Many think 1970 was really the first of the modern NFL seasons; it was the first season of the AFL/NFL merger. It's also the first set in a long stretch of Topps cards to not feature team logos -- evidently the NFL just wanted too much money. Some things never change. So I've replayed this season several times with Pro Strategy Football and I can tell you that the team balance really makes 1970 a great season to replay. You will enjoy that set.
Great unboxing! When you were shuffling through the Buffalo cards, I noticed a card for a good friend of mine, Wayne Fowler. Could you send me a picture of his card?
77 Dodgers should be fun. They had the "Fantastic Four" of first team with 4 players with 30+ HRs. More impressively, all 5 SPs never missed a start and each went over 200+ innings. No DL time for all SPs. Could you even imagine that from todays SPs?
And each starting pitcher had a winning percentage of over .600. Add to that, team ERA was number one in baseball. So was team WHIP, ERA+, and Fielding Independent Pitching!
Tarkenton is with the Giants in 1970 that's a fun team

Everyone remember the NFL is an entertainment company, not a sports entity. Explains it all.
Not a modern NFL fan anyway.

Hope everything gets better very soon Uncle Dave 😇
That’s awesome. Good for you. You know if it wasn’t for the football MG, I wouldn’t be playing. Enjoy……✌️
I hope you feel better Dave. I get gout flare ups occasionally and it’s not fun. It was probably for the Wild Wings too much salt.
Just saw in the APBA Forum that OGuard will be replaying the 1970 season next. Hope things are looking up for you. Hang in there.

Re Gout. In my experience, High Fructose Corn Syrup is the culprit, and BBQ sauce is full of it. Start checking labels.

Gout is miserable. You really have to watch your diet
