It wasn't a surprise to me at all that Arrowhead's first big budget, full 3D game would be a massive success. It's essentially almost the exact same as the first game gameplay wise and that game was my GotY back when that released. They've always made 10/10 games, just "gamers" never saw an amazing game, they saw a top down, twin stick indie game and instantly passed.
Representation does matter. Seeing different cultures and people represented in games Can be refreshing and exciting for the people that are more closely tied to it. Still wakes The deep For me was more engrossing because of its setting, and culture of its cast. I understand focusing for mass market share, but a lot of the time these things can accomplish one in the same. There's room for everything. I'm not arguing for tipping the scale. I'm arguing for cool shit.

I want to get into Star Wars outlaws but everytime I try can’t seem to get into it

Backlog year for me but I enjoyed Astrobot, Star Wars Outlaws and Stellar Blade
Black Myth Wukong was my favorite
I didn't play a lot of 2024 games, but I did play (and like) Astro Bot and Prince of Persia!!
Also the demo for Stellar Blade was solid lol.
