This was super helpful! I'm working on reconstructing a turn of the century hat for a museum and it has curved tucks along the brim, I was stumped until I found this.
This is super cool and helpful, but I'm not sure exactly where the actual stitches go, if that makes any sense. I thought they were on the same line as the basting (it's hard to see the white on white!) until you talked about removing the basting stitches. Hopefully I'll get it figured out. I really need to add a tuck or two into a lovely skirt I just got with a curved hem that I'd like to have a few inches shorter.
