- On the 3rd of August 2008, Dublin Bus bid farewell to their RA class Olympians (for use in regular service). Three buses left Dublin city centre & travelled to Dun Laoghaire on route 46A & returned to the city where they were then taken on route 14 to Dundrum & back to the city centre. The buses were RA 176 (Driver Trainer), RA 302 & RA 305. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a great day out.
Some of these buses are now in Halifax Joint Committee, a independent local bus company, in West Yorkshire.
I remember being on one, operating route 75 a few years ago. Can't say I miss them too much to be honest
Miss the RA's... there always have that sort of bus smell at the rear... These were always on Route 130
THIS WAS MADE WHEN I WAS BORN
Good footage 👍🏻
I drive some these dublin buses in the uk on the wirral, still dublin livery colours, slowly fading out the T Reg 1's but still have alot of the V Reg in service but there now in our companies livery colours.. i also do the safety inspections on them
centre/exit door are, or should i say WERE, supposed to be used as exit doors. but this being ireland, they pulled centre door buses out of service...
Does anyone know if them buss are easy to drive?
Doubledeckers with only one door? wtf
"what do they do in an emergency in first place? Jump out the windows?

I hate to sound like a dunce, but what was so special about them in the first place?
