David. So here we are in Dominica. Very good start. Now, I have to admit that although I lived in the Caribbean, I don't remember being taught any in-depth history of the region. It was reading, writing, arithmetic (math), history, geography, English literature, English, French, Spanish etc. so I enjoyed the bit of history so far. Glad to see that you enjoyed the home-cooking, c'est bon, oui. Now I have seen men chop coconuts, but that lady was a real one-chop coconut cutter. Wow. There is nothing better than island living; fresh air, sandy beaches, friendly people and delicious food. Looks like Nathan and you had a very nice first day. What a beautiful place to stay while in Dominica. To watch the sun set and to wake up to that fresh sea air must have been exhilarating. Can't wait to see what's next. 🇹🇹🇨🇦
I spent a lot of time reading the history of the area and of course the entire history of the Caribbean is fascinating. The home cooking was amazing and the people were living such incredible lives there in Dominica. It was a true paradise. Can't wait to share the rest of the series with you all. Absolutely agreed. My mom and dad's home. The food is so fresh that's why they have so many people living pass 100 years and more. My grandma included. Did you get to go to portsmouth or the soufrier so see the boiling water?
Portsmouth was my home base in Dominica but sadly we didn't get a chance to visit the boiling lake due to the length of the hike up there. We did get to see a lot of other natural wonders while we were there. And absolutely the food is so fresh and the living is very relaxed and peaceful too. Your parents are so lucky to be from such a beautiful place. Have you ever had a chance to visit too!?
I visited many times with my mom and dad growing up. And with high school from antigua etc. My mom and grandma are no longer with us. They are resting in peace. My dad went back to live. I havent been there in a long while for health reasons.

Hey I’m from Guadeloupe, and I recently visited Dominica, I was wondering what you guy think of the Chinese? I didn’t know their community was as big as it is in our neighbouring island so I was a bit shocked.
