Remember when you and crew sent prayers for my recovery from Pancreatic Cancer, well after 7 months of 3 day long chemo sessions and my surgery two weeks ago, I am home and Cancer Free. So Prayers are answered and I am 100% cancer free and home, Thanks to all that sent Prayers and Encouragement
A mighty stir could be heard thru the swamps. Swamp creatures hid in the foilage, the swamp has announced the rebirth of Barf Party ! Long live the King!!!
To be honest my favorite part about building this monstrosity is engineering and modifying the open belt primary with joe...we had a good time doing it and I think ist came out great
Do not under any circumstances ever even think about making it look pretty - what you have there is a perfect bike, you have all the goodies on one bike and you built it for less than a lot of people could ever dream of - well done, I salute you Sir !
Just have to say that your channel is such a solid staple in my household, that my 2 year old sings the closing credits chorus while taking a bath at night. My wife sent me a video on Snapchat of him singing "Shaaaadetreee, AAARMY!!" last night and it had me laughing 😂
I have no trouble cutting down a windshield. Masking tape inside and outside, mark your line, cut with a fine tooth saber saw, remove tape, sand the edge smooth, and finish with very fine sandpaper. It seems counterintuitive but a taller windshield causes more buffeting. It creates a vacuum zone that sucks the air up between your knees and hits the bottom of your helmet. I plan to cut down the Beige Malaise windshield. Certainly cheaper to cut a windshield down than buying a new one. And that plastic ain't cheap.
I was using a (detachable) HD softail springer 18" shield on my 2010 hotrod Dyna that had a 'vacuum' which lifted my visor at anything over 80, so I held the visor down with tape on highway rides. When it 'slipped outta my hand one day when I detached it, falling and breaking the lower part on one side - I was a bit bummed out as it was a must have on long trips with the 18" apes I was running. Then one day I looked at it in the shed and used a bandsaw to clean up the broken bit and make the other other side look the same. I put it on the bike and hey presto, the vacuum had gone so my visor didn't keep flipping up ANDI had a bit of a breeze from below the shield that kept me cool on hot days.... it still stops the rain from hitting me and the visor on the wet days as well. That ain't as lucky as a 2 litre engine for a grand though !
Small point Shadetee, it appears that rather than starting the bike with the phone, rather you have used the bike to start the phone. In the hierarchy of things this is the correct order, it is the way.
Excellent, Josh. You are in fine form here, very comedic. I like your design philosophy for the Barfparty, mechanically superior, cosmetically challenged. Bravo
Howdy! I got back into bikes recently and have been catching up with your vids. I have found an 87 GL1200A and it now has a garfield. especially loving the cheap bike challenges Keep on keepin on
If you want to give the supertrapp a bit more bark, you can ditch the discs and run a larger bore end cap on them. The muffler itself is still fairly baffled but itll just give it a little bit more bark!
Im def gonna try and win her.. I am looking for a Twin Cam RK right now.. I love my street glide but its fully built and upgraded and I am actually done with it.. Bought the 2010 brand new and got to 38,000mi, but in 2020 started lifter ticking and compensator was going out, so it got tore down, replaced everything in primary, 107high compression kit, new heads & clutch, TB & intakes, cam & cam chest, HP oil pump, new shocks, new bars, new front wheel & tire, It was my plan to upgrade my current bike instead of spend $30k on a new one, and since I saved money and enjoyed restoring my bike, Im gonna do it to a 99-2010 RK. , since I really want a bike to ride single or solo but since I am 6'4" and 225-230lbs so I really don't fit well on a Dyna or softail, & I love hard bags. I bought a RK about in 2002, sold it for the Glide in 2010, but I want another one with a fat spoke 21 front, 18rear, some big sweet apes or really tall risers with dirt bars.. Pretty much meld the Vicla & Perf bikes into one as a sweet solo hopper.. Really would like an early carbed RK..
The best thing about this bike is all the imperfections. Maybe two wrongs don't make a right, but a thousand odd choices and beaten up parts apparently make a magnificent ride!
Damit Josh! you have got me wanting to put a Harley together again to add to my stable. Love the levers. I currently only have 2 bikes. I mean ladies and one is named Squirter and the other is Rash LOL. Great plug at the end for forgotten angels. I will give what I can.
Have Supertrapp true dual headers on my 90 ultra classic. It's a lot easier to when I don't have to dismantle the entire exhaust every time I touch the transmission or engine.
Love the spiffed up Barf-Party..... but 1 look at just the little thumbnail pic and I can tell that FXR ain't no slouch. I don't think anyone is sleeping on that engine.
Yeah supertrapp is definitely a performance muffler, I'm very impressed with my thunderheader though but I've definitely experienced the supertrapp performance.
1985 Honda shadow vt1100 was the actual sleeper. Nicknamed the Harley killer. Amazing bike. But this bike over all is a great choice 110% just simply and factually the 85 vt1100 would sleep almost everyone’s stock bikes. Love the channel though 🤝🏼🤝🏼🤝🏼💯
I remember when Barf first appeared on your channel and great to see back in rude health. Josh, maybe try and size up the yokes to a set of Showa dual bending forks like they used on big Honda CBs, 1300 and 1100, will be great for the FXR weight, adjustable, well damped and right way up for classic look 8) Prob find for a good price too $, best from Scotland, JB
Are the roadkings really that different in handling from the heritage classics? I've owned two classics one with a carbed 88 and a 103 and I've always been told the roadkings are like night and day
But with alot of baggers you gotta replace or at least modify the swingarm to put anything over 13.5 or 14 inch shocks. I'm at 13.5 now and want more so it looks like I'll be getting a brocks swingarm soon
You do know most seat manufacturers make seats specifically for taller people. They aren't necessarily taller they are deeper. The step up is 2 inches further back. I have a la perra tail whip. It's offered in the taller configuration as well. Aluminum swing arm wieghts less. And the rigidity helps with handling. You won't see stock swing arms on any major teams king of the baggers... bikes.
I'm a day late on a comment. Yes TP is still in business. Yes they can still build a motor but are mainly a normal machine shop now. 124 show polished was more like 15grand in the early 2000s.
Just put more discs in that super Trapp exhaust you can by those cheap may need longer bolts easily available at hardware stores. more discs makes it louder.
I remember when you got barf party originally! At the time i remember thinking it was a loaner, and it was weird to see you on a harley. BTW, how does the banana-Pan-america stack up, speed wise?
Now that i think about it a little bit more, based off my history of watching your videos, I would say don't ride your dad force ones on that bike on that particular bike. Just get some regular boots without laces, your hair is short enough so that won't be a problem.
It takes a lot of money to increase horsepower. One reason to buy a bike with the horsepower your happy with From the factory or similar how you bought your engine. Suspension mods and other mods way cheaper than buying a cheaper bike with less horsepower hoping to modify it later with more horsepower until you find out the cost.
i know its not exactly the same but next time your in portland you can take out my piss missle dyna out to help you decide on a windshield height i have a 18" fxrt windshield with a recurve from clearview shields on my bike that puts the wind right above my head
I swear I heard that FXR talking to you', when you started it Up...really different from any other bike I ever heard....Wish I could pay the 25'bucks,,Yet I'm work'in on that....later', my dude...
I want that fairing for my FXR. I don't like the after market ones they look Plain. My 1st Harley has been my 88 FXLR and I've riden lots of other bikes and at the stealerships they want me to put my FXLR as a trade in and I can NOT and will NOT trade it in. At 1 point I had 2 FXRs, 96 FLH,and a crotch rocket. I gave my brother my 2nd FXR and I sold the rest and kept my 1st FXLR and I still have her. Just Love the simplicity of her and not all the sensors and vacuums and need to be an electrician to work on the new bikes. Long Live the FXR Nation!
That's rad buddy!
Good shit!!!
Congratulations on beating cancer, I'm still in the fight. Hopefully you can have many more years to ride on
Congrats
Amazing brother. Answered prayers
A mighty stir could be heard thru the swamps. Swamp creatures hid in the foilage, the swamp has announced the rebirth of Barf Party ! Long live the King!!!
Yes sir! 👋
To be honest my favorite part about building this monstrosity is engineering and modifying the open belt primary with joe...we had a good time doing it and I think ist came out great
I’m absolutely lovin it my friend!!
it looks sick....maybe this channel warped my sensibilities...i like that its a frankenstien...good job
Lol ...yeah, that was definitely a new one!!!.... Worked out pretty damned good, if I do say so myself 🤓
This crew right here supporting shadetree. There ain't sh t that can't be built. all we need is brains and money. AND BEER !!
Do not under any circumstances ever even think about making it look pretty - what you have there is a perfect bike, you have all the goodies on one bike and you built it for less than a lot of people could ever dream of - well done, I salute you Sir !

Can't believe you found a built custom big bore evo for a grand. Patience pays off
I have no trouble cutting down a windshield. Masking tape inside and outside, mark your line, cut with a fine tooth saber saw, remove tape, sand the edge smooth, and finish with very fine sandpaper. So dope seeing the m unit actually being used for the bluetooth capabilities. Classic on the outside, futuristic inside.
Bravo
I have had my 1965 Triumph TR6 with a magneto and a hardtail for 40 years
You do not need the best of the best to have fun. Love your cheap boat. Love your ride is ready.
You got that right!
The video we all have been waiting for!!!! f yeah
thanks Josh, ive been contemplating an FXR for a while, loved the rundown
Howdy! I got back into bikes recently and have been catching up with your vids. I have found an 87 GL1200A and it now has a garfield. especially loving the cheap bike challenges
Keep on keepin on
Happy for you. An awesome motor for a legendary bike. Glad to see her back on the road.
The open primary sounded like a cartoon skeleton with chattering teeth. Would make a cool rat fink design.
Looking cool is all the reasons you need to put parts on your motorcycle. Enuf said..!!! 💥🤙🏼
I love that I was born the same year as Barf Party, "The Vomit Comet" !! Such a cool bike 😍
I bought a BSA chopper because it's the same year as me... 1969 😊
Finding that right lower fork with brake mount is really nice
I love my old FXRS. Did a very similar build with mine, but with a normal primary
If you want to give the supertrapp a bit more bark, you can ditch the discs and run a larger bore end cap on them. The muffler itself is still fairly baffled but itll just give it a little bit more bark!
Barf party is such a killer bike!
@26:09 .... "How long is a piece of string...?"
Simple and.... its twice as long as half it's length....
Im def gonna try and win her.. I am looking for a Twin Cam RK right now.. I love my street glide but its fully built and upgraded and I am actually done with it.. I wanted to do something like this to my 90th ann FXRS, but decided to stick with the EVO for longevity and ease of maintenance.
27:12
That red one in the background suits me actually 💯
Very cool build
24:08 too sweet! I have been looking to do something similar with a tc124 when I can find a deal on one.
Excellent video as always dude. Got my chance in for that Road King, looking forward to meeting you all when I pick it up 😉😅
120 130hp and TQ is fun in almost any size frame
My victory vision has 125hp She shits and gets. In style and comfort
Have Supertrapp true dual headers on my 90 ultra classic. It's a lot easier to when I don't have to dismantle the entire exhaust every time I touch the transmission or engine.
I’d like to hear a short rant on your thoughts about the belt to chain conversion (and subsequent maintenance additions).
Loud clutches save lives.
What an awesome frankenbike!
Love the spiffed up Barf-Party..... but 1 look at just the little thumbnail pic and I can tell that FXR ain't no slouch. I don't think anyone is sleeping on that engine.
The aluminum swingarm looks cool... and that's enough!
Yeah supertrapp is definitely a performance muffler, I'm very impressed with my thunderheader though but I've definitely experienced the supertrapp performance.
Think I just talked the ole lady into coming to the campout!!!!🎉🎊🤘😎
Hell yeah!
When is the fall campout - need to take the days off work
October 24-27 I believe right Josh?
That bike is an iconic labor of love, people who get it, get it!
I came in a few minutes late near the end of this video. Keep trying to hit the live stream, but it sent me back to the last live stream video.
Wow. BarfParty has come a long way. Old Iron is the Best! Take Care and have a fantastic Day! 😃
I remember when you procured this bike.

Are the roadkings really that different in handling from the heritage classics? I've owned two classics one with a carbed 88 and a 103 and I've always been told the roadkings are like night and day
Yeah, touring frame vs softail frame. Pretty different in both design and handling. Just my $0.02.
I'm glad I came back. I really enjoyed this one. Keep the rubber side down!
barf party is back i like that motorcycle.
@@kc0lif watching Josh push it through Georgia and the heroic way it died trying was an epic video
Fish tails, the widest beach bars available, 21 inch 121 spoke front. Toldgee
But with alot of baggers you gotta replace or at least modify the swingarm to put anything over 13.5 or 14 inch shocks. I'm at 13.5 now and want more so it looks like I'll be getting a brocks swingarm soon
Resurrection of Le Barfe Pate. Magnifique.
Ichiban Moto sticker, nice.
I think those tp engines are similar to merch motors big $ good job tru sleeper i have an 87 in process of retro rebuild
Yo Josh I'm proud you got that all back together some day. I'll get down to Florida right now. You guys someday?
Rose from the dead like the ships of Pearl harbor after 1941
You need covers for those pads with Shadetree Surgeon on it.
You do know most seat manufacturers make seats specifically for taller people. They aren't necessarily taller they are deeper. The step up is 2 inches further back. I have a la perra tail whip. 124 show polished was more like 15grand in the early 2000s.
Legend has it, back in the Dark Ages the Barf Party accompanied the mighty Waldicorn himself on many a quests as his trusty steed
So how about more information on the m unit . I'm considering buying into fold. 50% less wires ...... Sounds good to me! How was it too connect up.
Just put more discs in that super Trapp exhaust you can by those cheap may need longer bolts easily available at hardware stores. more discs makes it louder.
your ideas sound great for the RK... would look great
🤮party💪I'd be proud to own that your a patient mf 👍🫡
Barf party is legendary!!!
That's a slick rig Josh
Great segue into the raffle!!!! I didn’t even see that coming. C’monnnnnnn
I remember when you got barf party originally! At the time i remember thinking it was a loaner, and it was weird to see you on a harley. BTW, how does the banana-Pan-america stack up, speed wise?
Put a Saddleman seat on the FXR please way better than that other brand won’t mention lol
Your mic is hilarious and has been for years 😂
I'm on both sides of the open primary argument, so my compromise would be to suggest some sort of grill over the open parts of the primary.
Now that i think about it a little bit more, based off my history of watching your videos, I would say don't ride your dad force ones on that bike on that particular bike. Just get some regular boots without laces, your hair is short enough so that won't be a problem.
Should ride it too block heads dyno and do a power run and a tune
The best and the way you make stuff work is always good 😂
Any plans to take it back to Helen GA again?
J'adore ton fxr 🤩 👍
There is beauty in function over form, there is beauty in form over function
With motorcycles, form IS a function. And the root word of functional as it applies to motorcycles is FUN!
Love the content, but yeah it seemed like something was missing while the fxr was down.
That bike completes you.
What happened with the tourpak?
11:38
❤
Gotta love that Cheyleesi💯
Happy to see Barf Party running again🤙🇺🇸
I know you got the white bike but this is the swamp wizard bike!!!!
It takes a lot of money to increase horsepower. One reason to buy a bike with the horsepower your happy with
From the factory or similar how you bought your engine. Suspension mods and other mods way cheaper than buying a cheaper bike with less horsepower hoping to modify it later with more horsepower until you find out the cost.
Hell yeah 🎉🎉ride on bro
I thought it was getting renamed the Vomit Comet and I thought you were putting Öhlins suspension on it.
Looks comfy🤙
Did you ever make it to Helen?
Whiskey Chaser sticker adds 15hp
If it makes you happy every time you ride it it's worth it
i know its not exactly the same but next time your in portland you can take out my piss missle dyna out to help you decide on a windshield height i have a 18" fxrt windshield with a recurve from clearview shields on my bike that puts the wind right above my head
To be honest this thing is terrifying to ride as someone 6'1" 165 lbs...
Good thing I'm 6'2 3/4 and 190. I got this!
What would you do if Waldo wanted it back?
I vote for cam chest upgrade and hsr 42 cuz that earley fuel infection suckd and leave the rest alone...just my opinion. tho.
The Softail st is the closest thing to a fxr without a headache here is
I swear I heard that FXR talking to you', when you started it Up...really different from any other bike I ever heard....Wish I could pay the 25'bucks,,Yet I'm work'in on that....later', my dude...
where did the Vater box go?
About damn time!!!
I want the Roadking....
I want that fairing for my FXR. I don't like the after market ones they look Plain. My 1st Harley has been my 88 FXLR and I've riden lots of other bikes and at the stealerships they want me to put my FXLR as a trade in and I can NOT and will NOT trade it in. When ya m8 is making 180hp a swing arm upgrade is a good option
What a machine!😊. Stickers for the vomit 🤮? Bags would look great on the road king
"Close enough for rock n roll" is going to replace "Good enough for jazz" when i complete my next half-assed job😂
