This does not sound the way I remember it. Man the new V10s and V8s sound way better. Lexus LFA is one of the best.

@@shadiandrew Duuh the F10 is newer. As a car F10 is better, but as a super sedan (supercar with a sedan body)the E60 is better. This a V10 engine, the F10 has a wimpy twin turbo V8.

@@jagz02 Bullshit. I bet it doesnt even have that much mechanical issues, only with the regular wearing parts. Over 100hp/liter NA engine isnt going to last forever without maintenance.

This car is up there with the Mighty Lexus LFA and Porsche Carrera GT. This car reminds me of a V10 F1 car but more tamed.
I love how no one gives a shit about the newer F10s they just want to see the older E60. BMW, you fucked up killing the V10.
the E60 M5 is definitely one of the best sounding cars out there. So happy I got to drive one a couple times!

its BMW, till engine is warm, no problem at all when you do this. Un less MB for rear tires :P
The '06s had the bearing issues. Mid production year in '07 they changed the main bearings. The engine itself is actually incredibly stable.

This is actually my favorite M5, due to that zany V10 engine. 8200rpm redline, sounds like F1 if you uncork the pipes and rev the nuts off it.

Lots of people basically bow down to the sound of this car, saying it sounds better than a Carrera GT, LFA, etc. but personally I think the sound of this car doesn't hold a candle to any of those cars!
It sounds amazing in videos but I had this exact same system on my old M6 and when you're driving around normally the V10 doesn't sound very nice and that's the loud noise you're left with 90% of the time. It also sets car alarms off which is fun and games till you need to drive somewhere at 4am and it's on a cold start in a built up area.
