This one hits home for me in every way. Can’t help but get emotional, like the guy is just singing for all the broken spirits in this world we’re in. Couldn’t love and respect the guy more…
Saw them in Williamsport, PA back in Feb. and just a few weeks ago in Red Bank, NJ. Both fantastic shows - I could see them every night and it would never get old!
@nickautry7332 oh I don't care about that. I use one all the time. I understand that technically I don't need one but I'm not a master guitarist either. But it's cool that Jason wrote this album without one
When I listen to powerful Jason Isbell songs, I find myself forgetting to breathe as they take over my mind and soul. Looking forward to seeing him and the 400 Unit in Vancouver, Canada next month. I better practice holding my breath so I don't pass out at the show.
What do I do to make you smile You've been hurting for a while What can I do to make you laugh Get St. Peter's autograph What's that distance in your eyes Has your faith been compromised What can I do to help you sleep I'll work hard and work for cheap Sometimes it's nothing but the way you're wired And that's not your fault We're all struggling with the world on fire And the fear we're taught Now you've lost another friend Who couldn't stay to see the end He had somewhere else to be Cut him down and burn the tree There's no shelter from the rain And I can't comprehend your pain But I got arms and I got ears And I will always be right here Sometimes its nothing but the way you were raised And that could've been worse And I see you suffering through the best of days Still you're putting me first What do I do to let you know That I'm not haunted by his ghost Let him dance around our room Let him smell of your perfume Share your best remember whens And if he comes through here again Maybe he could make you laugh Bring St. Peter's autograph
Is that Peter Holzapple w them? Seeing him on a double bill w Vulgar Boatmen in Chicago next month. I remember during first rem MTV Unplugged Stipe said he was the 5th member of rem
Saw Jason and the 400 Unit in my capital, Edinburgh, in November 2024…..best gig ever!! Could watch them every night and not get bored….👍🎸🏴🇺🇸

This man is a treasure

Same.......top (5) concert of all-time for me. Could not believe they were playing there.......He is playing in Ithaca NY in February.
For a few weeks listened to him only. This one is a pure gem.
When you find him, you're hooked
Jason and the Unit are finally coming to Australia next year...I'm so excited 😊
Write an album without using a capo...CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! This song is a work of art, just like most of Jason's work. Impeccable!
I mostly say that I won’t see a band that uses a capo (besides Wilco).

One of the best songs, considering the circumstances!! Greatness!! I love it!!
These guys just get better. They never have crap filler songs. Every one is it's own little journey, ready to sweep you away, amazing talent!
We're all suffering through the world on fire
This is the song I come back to. He makes sad songs easy and understandable. For ALL of is
Keep coming back to listen to this....over and over❤
Me too. I’m awe struck.
Beautiful song from a beautiful human being
Class.
Just the way we're wired.... TRUTH
He is great beyond words.
Wow! What a gorgeous voice! Stellar picker. I’m a new fan!

I think his new song Death wish is a masterpiece
3 months later, are you still with us? How was it, Love to know. won't see him anytime round here, probably. Living vicariously for sure!😁
@@loucat2779 He and the band were amazing live. The show was worthy of the wait.
BEAUTIFUL
❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song seem like it was speaking right to my heart such a talent. It's unbelievable.
The depth of those lyrics are the abyss of the seas.
That is an empty statement. It doesnt mean anything.
@@rickyparrish2570 Referencing your own statement? I see what you did there!
❤ Beautiful Song ❤️
What do I do to make you smile
You've been hurting for a while
What can I do to make you laugh
Get St. Peter's autograph
What's that distance in your eyes
Has your faith been compromised
What can I do to help you sleep
I'll work hard and work for cheap
Sometimes it's nothing but the way you're wired
And that's not your fault
We're all struggling with the world on fire
And the fear we're taught
Now you've lost another friend
Who couldn't stay to see the end
He had somewhere else to be
Cut him down and burn the tree
There's no shelter from the rain
And I can't comprehend your pain
But I got arms and I got ears
And I will always be right here
Sometimes its nothing but the way you were raised
And that could've been worse
And I see you suffering through the best of days
Still you're putting me first
What do I do to let you know
That I'm not haunted by his ghost
Let him dance around our room
Let him smell of your perfume
Share your best remember whens
And if he comes through here again
Maybe he could make you laugh
Bring St. Peter's autograph
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
