This is a huge trade and doesn’t come around too often, getting a two time SC champion in his prime to a team that has been in financial bankruptcy, shitty owners since 1996 then finally moving here after the NHL gave the Coyotes soooooo many chances to make it work in the desert is pretty rare. We’ll win the Stanley Cup in the next 5 years if our ownership group keeps making trades and signings like this for sure!
@@garyszabo7742 Plus, he's only 26 years old and under contract for the next 7 years. He could easily become a franchise cornerstone for the new team, at least defensively.
We def have a bunch of talented and smart hockey minds running this team! I can easily see this team continually competing year in and year out when you have great leadership like this!
So cool that we have an NHL team in Utah! I hope the team continues to improve and I hope the fans always come out and support the team! Let’s go Utah!

It's a sharp look for sure, but I will likely hold off buying merchandise till they have their new name and merch.

So excited to have NHL hockey here! Moved to Utah in 2015, and have traveled a lot to go to NHL games. Now it's going to be right here. As nice as Utah is, a year ago my wife and I weren't even considering staying here when we retire. NOW, it's a very likely scenario.

This whole narrative that Utah supposedly has no hockey fans who will support the team and that the team only moved because a few people cynically wanted to make money is completely unfounded and without merit.
