My First Royal Caribbean cruise

This is my first trip on Royal Caribbean on Freedom of the Seas. I will say although the sail away party had excitement and energy there is no sail away party like a Carnival sail away party. The cruise had a lot of activities on board and we really enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely go on another one, but would I say it is worth the premium over a Carnival cruise? No, but a great time, ABSOLUTELY!
This is a Girls Trip for my best friends bachelorette party. We did a three night cruise to the Royal Caribbean private island, Perfect Day at Coco Cay, and Nassau. We did not book any activity on the Perfect Day at Coco Bay, we just relaxed by the beach on Chill Island. There are serval excursions you can book on the island you can also pay to different activities on the island such as the water park, jet skis, kayaks, and hot air balloons, there are also cabanas you can purchase.
At Nassau we booked an excursion through Viator and not Royal Caribbean. We did ensure that the excursion time frame allowed us to return to the ship in time. We were able to ride through and see Fort Montague, enjoy the beach, eat local foods, and see The Queens Staircase. TIP: if booking excursions not though the cruise line you use ensure you are back at the ship well before the time to leave so you do not get left, THE BOAT DOES NOT WAIT!
