You can plug these into your desktop set up when you have no battery. They are a pretty competent closed back headphone when used this way. Just compared them to denon ah d7200 and yamahas blew them out of the water. Much more engaging. Very surprised as when the battery fails you will still have a functioning headphone.
This is a very serious statemnt . But I'll believe it until I hear it myself. Since I have the Denon D7200 they are absolutly amazing (although I changed the cable and listen through Dac and changed the setting the equizer, especially the upper middle and just a little bit of high freguency
I have both, yahama blew away xm4 any time specially when its used with Apple Music lossless format along with DAC (Digital Analog Converter) Shangling UA1 plus or fiio, XM4 is all about Bass where Yahama gives Accurate Bass when only needed with crystal clear sound, moreover using noise cancelation on XM4 give me tinnitus issue , all hype is for Noise cancelation but not for sound
maybe i got lemon units.but after changing with new unit(3x) at my local dealer,it came with same issue..battery wont last as the price they were asking for.😂funny huh.!!!?mark my words, take it for a week before ready to pay in full.i 100% guarantee ..my previous comment was removed by them in every video about this la700
I don’t know why there aren’t more reviews of the Yamaha 700a, thanks for that! I couldn’t find any before I buy it. I’m planing on get the new one 700b for daily stuff, probably lower quality, but more expandable, or the Sony xm5. Maybe do a video with wired lossless from Apple Music of the those same headphones, I’d love to watch it! It’s be a poorer option for people with good taste like me 😂 I don’t have spare $5k to spend on the new YH-5000SE Cheers
I’ve got the Yammies and they sound AMAZING. Almost as good as my DT770 Pro 250 ohms. That’s how good they sound in my opinion. However, their features aren’t that great. Battery life is average and the Bluetooth doesn’t even work with my laptop which is frustration.

Unbiased review and helpful. I wonder how the yamaha stands against the XM4 pair
