HEY Y’ALLLLLLLL! Listed some products in the description for those asking which ones I recommended for twisting. Also...filmed this after this trying a new product that left me with hella residue...y’all know the struggle.
I’m so glad I saw this! I was feeling almost like a failure because I haven’t been able to get this down yet! I thought maybe what the lady at the store said was true “well, most white people just can’t do twists”. :(
Wait until your 4b hair goes gray...😭 The porosity changes (high porosity), and you have to fight your hair for a curl pattern. Twists are infinitely harder because gray hair literally reaches out to tangle. 🙃
Dude, I'm actually doing it! Can't braid to save my life but I have two, albeit jacked-up, flat twists right now. Doesn't help that my hair is horribly uneven. But my fingers are, in a basic sense, understanding what needs to be done. The finger scooping to grab the next hair is probably the hardest for me but I'm committed to getting better! Thank you so much for this video!
Love this video! I’ve been having trouble finding videos that actually show the hand movements so I can learn these styles. My niece and nephew are biracial. I’ve always hated that my sister in law does not take the time to learn the hairstyles that are my niece and nephew’s history, their culture. I’ve been teaching them to love their hair and show them more varieties of styles. I would love a video on proper hydration of the hair! Since my niece and nephew now live with me I will be looking to learn everything I can about proper hair care for them. Thanks for the awesome video!
Thank you! I've watched so many videos for years to try to learn how to learn how to flat twist and your video finally did the trick! The scoop and pinch finally taught me how to flat twist!
I learned how to flat twist when I was like 12 and once I learned how to do that cornrowing came pretty easy, i know it may seem complicated but soon enough it’ll become muscle memory
lol...of course you posted this the weekend after I struggled through my first two-strand twists...I got them cute enough but I will definitely save this video for next time I do them.
OMG WIIIIILLLLLL, I have that comb!! Sally Beauty really CAME THROUGH with that comb when I was first starting my natural hair journey and I didn't wanna spend a whole lot just trying out a bunch of stuff!! SIS I still use it to this day 😭
I just big chopped and my hair ain't even long enough for this yet, but Will's personality and editing is so good I ended up staying for pure entertainment
Thank you so much. Omg I can’t wait to practice. I’ve been natural for almost 4 years and can’t do wash and go all the time. My ends need some rest. I twisted my hair, and boy did I struggle!!!! You are so awesome and funny. Thank you for this video 😘
Will! I started using this new product called the Doux. I think pronounced "Do" and it has a lot of amazing stuff in it. This product has been out since the 90's apparently but I haven't heard of it until recently and sally's started selling it. My hair is very annoying when it comes to hair product. If it even works, my hair will get tired of it and start to get dry and shrivel up again so I have to change things up every couple months. I haven't had to do that with this stuff. I even went to bed one night and forgot my bonnet and I woke up....with my hair still bouncy and curly. No matted spots. Didn't dry out. Seriously look at this product and see what you think
Thank you Will ❤️... I found this very helpful, do u know how I searched for someone who could give a step by step tutorial like this... My twists are still a bit sloppy but I have faith in myself 😁
Hallelujah got good not frizzy twist lol just finished doing it thanks will cause it is usually a FAIL with frizz definition is good but the frizz kills it!😩
Another tip to avoid puffy roots is to stretch the hair by putting it in a ponytail and tying it with a silk/satin scarf instead of a bonnet. If you don't have the length pull your hair taut across your head and secure with Bobby pins!
4:03 I'M DED LOL😂! I Haven't Seen That Style Since Childhood! It Was Scary AF! Imagining The Torture Of Time Wasted On Putting Them In And Taking Them Out! Glad I Never Had It Done To Me. 🙆 I Was Too Young To Guess It Might Been A Wig Tho.

Thank you for the tips! And your skin is glowing. Can we attribute that to your walk on the veg side?
“PATRICA!” 😭😭😭 this editing....🔥🤣
You could braid the root also to prevent puffiness.
You can also use a rat tail comb or fine toothed comb to twist the ends together..

Do u recommend started at the roots with a regular. Braid, then twisting? Or no that's my issue is trying to keep roots down and flat
