- It's actually a lot bigger..and it actually works. I get a whole range of TNT to play with from 10x the normal size all the way up to an absurd 100,000x bigger, and that one makes quite a hole. As soon as I started messing with this game I realized TNT could be a lot of fun and after making a giant tower of it I realized that just wasn't good enough. Many explosions and crashes later we get this result, and my computer is happy it's all over. Minecraft gameplay with my commentary as always!

Theres is a mod called Draconic Evolution, where you can build a power reactor, which is literally a small sun... But when the forcefield isn't strong enough, it makes (When given enough fuel) a explosion radius of 300 blocks. 600x600 blocks gone by that reactor... now imagine multiple! The reactor isn't the only thing that will have a meltdown.

Draconic Evolution also adds in a hazard in the end dimension in the form of Chaos Guardians. The Crystals they guard destroy everything in an even larger area when they are broken, after a sizable delay.
A small caveat with these explosions is that, unlike normal tnt and the variants you just used, they don't fire off a bunch of raycasts to see what they should destroy. They simply delete a volume of area, with a bit of noise around the edges. The effect of this is more predictable, and significantly less processor intensive explosions. The sheer volume of terrain updates will likely have more of a performance impact than the explosion calculations.
Running a megabase using a large modpack however should be able to push the limits even further, people often have issues when they're not actively trying to break the game. There are also a lot of nice exploits to be had when different mods interact with each other. (Such as capturing the crystal explosion and putting it somewhere else. Last time I tried there was a bug that removed the captured explosion, but I'll do it in survival some day)

IMO ICBM is the best mod for explosives, sure draconic evolution has the reactor but it's litelary only the reactor. I do enjoy the special effects as though.

Tip #1: Make a superflat world where the world is completely made up of DFT. You won't need to place the blocks manually, but the explosion might not ever end since there will always be more blocks.
Tip #2: There's a command that lets you fill a rectangle box full of a type of block; for example, you could make a 10x10x10 block of DFT instantaneously with a command. (I also think you can make big spheres of blocks, too.)

24 gigs here, but my soul just cried to see that an rtx 2080 and an i9 is used for minecraft.
No harm against the game but the possibilities... I really hope DF plays offline some really demanding stuff, that rig is in NEED of heavy load

Tip: I believe minecraft uses conic rendering, so look away from the TNT and it will not have to render particle effects thus preventing your PC being a chainsmoker and eventually catching on fire.

btw, the biggest bomb ever detonated in real life is the Tsar Bomba. It's 50 megatons, meaning its an explosion equivalent to 50 million tonnes of TNT.

9:29 you could use /fill to fill the space quickly, then fill in a gap because /fill fills in the whole thing and changes blocks in its way to what is the , like air.
(Also instead of using torches you could use /effect to give yourself night vision so you can see)

Df you should limit your memory to about 6 gigs of memory for better performance more memory has been proven to slow down the game instead.

5:27 I'm pretty sure water deafens the blow of TNT... like having a waterfall between you and TNT will basically shield you completely from the blast, even better than obsidian would. I think it was blast resistance, and water's was absurdly high, but I haven't played Minecraft in forever. Kind of explains why... almost nothing was affected below the ocean surface lol...

You should try the Too Much TNT and ICBM mods! The DFT in this mod seems to be calculating an explosion in a square, rather than a proper spherical explosion, at least for everything above standard DFT. The Too Much TNT mod adds both very strong TNT (such as TNT 500, which does actually create a bigger hole than most of the DFT you showed off here; only the last DFT was bigger, and that’s debatable), as well as more.. gimmicky ones. You know, like a TNT that sucks in everything nearby before throwing all of it multiple hundred blocks into the air. The ICBM mod also adds a lot of bombs, along with one that’s bigger than anything that Too Much TNT or DFT can match, though there’s a lot of other cool ones. ICBM, however, also has the unique feature of having all of its bombs also available as missiles, which can be fired from either a hand-held or multi-block launcher. As an example of one of the bombs, one of the smaller (but still in the top 5) explosives is a cluster nuke.

I think DF would enjoy knowing that he can do a superflat filled with TNT and spawn in an enderman with a single redstone block. Its a ticking lag bomb.

You know, i could watch you do minecraft mod review content. Quite a few people are doing survival series on minecraft currently, but i'm still interested in mods that break the game or add cool new features
8:50 iskall89 made something like this in the Hermitcraft server. The villagers were launched off again.
if you want to see a cool canon, you can look at the one made by Mumbo Jumbo. his can shoot a block of TNT with amazing precision a very, very long distance (as in he can snipe a dirt block through a 1 block high tunnel.) Great for getting rid of the last neighbor to your otherwise perfect house.

if you are gonna do this again, highly recommend any mod with a builders wand. Can place down lots of blocks at once for you, rather than doing it manually

Nest time use the mod "better building wands", they let you build A LOT quicker as long as its the same block over and over. You could fill this entire hole within minutes
