That was nicely done. Tight quarters for sure. We have had Aura for two years now. Just and FYI, their VPN can cripple your CPU. I can't have it on either of our laptops. Other than that, it's fine.
Yes. That's exactly why. Most boats tend to fishtail all over the place if the engines are up. They act similar to fletching on an arrow in that they move the center of pressure aft of the center of rotation
If your plannig on long range boating this wouldnt be the one for you the open bow isnt good for rough seas and weather. Have you looked at a Aquila cat or a closed bow. Don't compromise because you wont be happy in long run. We speak from experience there are also so many used boats out their at good prices.
I thought it was small until I saw that it said "405" on the side. Looked it up to make sure, and it's 41 feet. Having outboard engines on something that size seems really weird to me.
The towed boat steers more steady with at least one engine down, the 600 has a electro hydraulic steering, so the gearhousing will stay centered on a dead engine

That is a good looking Boston Whaler.😊
SEI makes a very good replacement drive. Never saw one go bad. The warranty is amazing.
What a great job. Capt Ken you are so good. Always a terrific professional job.
nice job captain
Those motors are a beast!
Job well done as always Capt Ken.
Thanks!!
Quite a setup of boats..... w/ the lack of waterfront property for these boatyards/storage places. Nice job, Captain. peace
That's what a million dollar Whaler looks like, they go from 1 million to 1.7 million.
And another enjoyable video Cap'n! Keep up the great work.
Thanks Del!
Omg that’s so cool I have to win the lottery to buy that great job 👍👍

Wow that opening looked skinny from here😮
Imagine being the one trying not to hit anything going through there 😂
Nice job Capitan Ken!
Thanks Brian!
Wonder how those Merc engines compare to the 7 Marine 627s
Talk about an unlucky strike!
Ken, why you want engines down? Stability?
Yes. That's exactly why. Most boats tend to fishtail all over the place if the engines are up. They act similar to fletching on an arrow in that they move the center of pressure aft of the center of rotation
He could have turned his Generator off 😂 guess he wanted to stay cool
Can't blame him. I wish I had AC on my boat! 😂

That 360 cam was definitely not doing the size difference justice....for the boat or the motors. Really became obvious with your buddy's picture.
didn't realize how big that boat was until you started letting the lines off to tow. holy cow.
Are those motors inline 4's

A lot of yachts are being retrofitted and or optioned from the factory with outboards to provide more interior room
Mine are v6s the mercs on that whaler are v12s. The Suzukis on the worldcat are their new 200hp inline 4s
Ken, The motors weigh 1260 lb each.
Them some big ol boys 😂
Are you called out from home at night when you are on duty or your shift?
Yes. We run 24hr shifts, so I can get called out at anytime day or night
That entrance makes me nervous just watching the video, I can't imagine how it is for your towing a $1.5 million boat behind you.
The trick is not thinking about how much the boat I'm towing is worth... 🤣
What would cause that boat to spit all of that water? It’s not an inboard engine, and it was nonstop, just curious.
was wondering the same, rain water?
Genset or air conditioning maybe.
He said the generator was running at the beginning. I'm guessing the one in front of it with less water was air conditioning or something.
Was wondering the same, seems like quite a bit unless he had a bait well or something he was pumping out.
why did you want the drag of the disabled boats props

@@CaptKenO thanks
@@RHaarFl thaks for your reply
@ sometimes you have to use a drogue to steady the tow, if the engines don’t go down or if a sailboat lost the rudder
Great boat, but they’ve out priced the common man.
