Honestly I think that green grout could have been so so cute and a way to bring that color up to feel more cohesive, but it's your kitchen and I'm glad you love the results!
For merch, you should make a t-shirt the same color blue as the one Brian paints in, but have the design say something like "My DIY shirt" or something! Love the Kitchen!
I would love to see a video on how you got started doing a channel and diy projects; what you studied in school i.e. your artistic background; and what you and Brian do now for work. I love your channel so creative and you make it all look fun and easy
Beautiful kitchen! I love the green cabinets, tiles, and the black faucet is perfect for your space. Oh, and thank you for the dish soap dispenser hack! Genius.
All your updates look really good. Can I say that I really like that you took the switch covers OFF to paint? I think it shows the quality of your work that you take those few minutes to take them off instead of painting around them. Sandi
The kitchen looks great. I agree that small changes, like swapping out the faucet for a matte black one, make a big difference. BTW. I really liked the change you made in the music.
Looks great! I did the peel and stick after watching your 1st kitchen video, same type but it was in a brick formation. I don't want to spend a lot for temporary anything so I used dollar store tiles. No lie, it wasn't easy because of their build and matching the staggering from sheet to sheet but love the results and now know I want to tile with white subway. The other day I semi melted a tile with a candle in it's original container so this came just in time. I did not know that grout sheet existed and am thrilled about the tile saw! Time to put some real tile up!
Your kitchen looks awesome omg! 🤩 Well done on the tiling, it looks so professional and definitely the right choice to wait for the black faucet, it’s a much better colour for that space! I’m so jealous of your kitchen! 😍
New tile ,new faucet BIG IMPROVEMENT! I would've purchased a faucet that swivels though. Even though you have the sprayer, from experience, people have a tendency to try to move that faucet. And will loosen the base. But looks very nice!!!
OMG I am so jealous right now! The closest Floor & Decor to me is over 2 hours away! Totally getting that MuscleBound tile mat AND the tile saw! I've been so hesitant to do a backsplash but after watching you, I feel confident! Awesome job!
Wonderful Tina you did a great job the kitchen is much more brighter the color of the tiles is perfect with the black faucet that's awesome 👍🏾👍🏾 give Brian his award for the plumbing job a🤝🏼.
Beautiful! I really like the black faucet; I generally don't care for black appliances or the accessories; however, this just works! Also, when you thought about the green grout, I thought, Oh! No! what if you changed your mind on the green painted cabinets? Then that becomes another issue project!! Regarding your website - merch, of course! And, I don't know if this would considered plagiarism; if you could sell Brian's handy-man blue T-shirt changing "Cities" to "DIY" and "by Google" to "Tina and Brian". You would want to check with a patent lawyer or such, you don't want to be sued for infringement!!! Or just "Brian's Blue Handy-Man's T-Shirt" ... And we could all wear when we, at least, watch your vids!!!! Enjoy your day! Thanks! Brian! for assisting!
I like the 2 tone look. You did well on the tile cutter for the first time using it. Next time it will even be easier. I'm a fan of Drew from @LoneFox. He has been working on his new home. He recently tiled his kitchen and dining room floor. They had used a grouting bag. Same as a pastry bag yet for grout. A lot easier to control the placement of the grout.
I was so happy when I used the wet saw for our tile. A wet saw doesn't/can't cut you. I rented one and the fellow that showed me how to use it put his finger ON the blade. Nothing happened. That gave me confidence to complete the project. I would have loved the green - something different. My only question is why do you wait so long before clearing the grout off of the tiles? Is it harder to remove with the sponge? I saw someone do their whole wall before wiping and the grout had dried....Oh my!!
Tile choice is super cute!! The cuts look so perfect. Kind of wondering why you left the small 3”(?) that matches the counter… it would’ve left more room to showcase your pretty backsplash Also… would you considering putting a little face frame on the skinny shelf, just to make it look more custom? Updates are amazing overall though!
Hi Tina! 🙋🏻♀️🇺🇲🏔️ Congratulations on getting your kitchen's finishing touches completed. 😄🎆🎇 On your Website: 🔸Art prints of your art. (Especially the painting you did of the sweet yellow flowers.) 🔸 Art kits for small projects with coordinated videos so we can create "together." And an Inspo space where you can show images from your followers' completed projects from the kits. Hugs & warm wishes!
Make sure you use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the surface when you remove it and It will come right off. The PSA (adhesive) on the back needs to be tacky to avoid tearing off the paint :) Edit: You really have to give the heat time to work, just blasting it for a couple of seconds doesn't do much!
And I would add that most rental units use satin paint because it's easier to clean. Satin has a lower surface energy, so the adhesive doesn't bond quite as strong. If you have a matte or eggshell finish on your walls you will most likely get more paint peeling. Hope this helps!
Couldn't one ask the landlord the tile can just stay up, thereby avoiding this mess! I think it would "elevate" the until for future renters. Also, would using command strips help? Don't peel off the adhesive backing, and use command strips instead??
I absolutely loved the vid. The kitchen refresh is super cute. Great job, you two! I also love when my fave channel shouts out another channel I sub... May you enjoy your vacay, Tina😘
Tina is such an inspiration! I learned so much in this episode that I needed to know as a new home owner! I agree the green grout would have been cute but the current grout is very nice! Merch I would probably buy: Stickers, everyone has a place they can put a sticker - on a hydro bottle, on a tool box, on a clip board, in a journal or such. I would also probably buy a coffee mug or two, with something like "~Stay Inspired !~ hand written with some doodles of stars or such something cute but not *too cute*. If you guys do not draw there are plenty of Graphic Artists out there that will work for cheap - like me. Just saying. Oh some Prints of your handmade art would be nice. Something small and affordable that would look good on a shelf or on the fridge. Fridge magnets would rock - I recommend either a set of basic tools like hammers/screwdriver doodles or some succulent doodles. Notebooks are always nice as are pencil pouches. Also Hats can be good if they are priced right and neutral enough.
Love it, it looks great! I'm currently planning out wall color for my kitchen/dining/ living and back splash in the kitchen. It's so much fun doing things like this and makes you feel good. I love your black stacked fruit baskets, where could I find those? I don't have anything and could use a way to neatly store the fruit so it's not just sitting on the counter.
Hi Tina! Thanks so much for your videos! I have a suggestion for your kitchen. In the last video on The Lone Fox channel Drew added a wooden plank on the shelves where he removed doors (just like you did) to make them appear the same width. 💜
Looks amazing, so love the tile and the Fossett. I really like those baskets on your calendar to help you. If you said, where are you got them and I just missed it but I really like him. Hope you’re having a great time on vacation.
My mom taught me to lay cardboard above the cabinets, that way grease doesn’t build up on top over time. When you want to clean just throw away the old cardboard and put down fresh.
It’s funny that millions of people around the world install tile everyday and yet we feel like there is some secret that we are missing when we tackle a tile job. Wonderful video. I would buy prints of your art or even a T-shirt or hoodie with your art. The Da Nang flower market is lovely.
Omg😮after placing peel and stick in place over my counter for a month I finally peeled the backing and popped into place last night ! 😢 in my apartment 😮
Oh wow Tina this kitchen tile that is real tile is so gorgeous, and I really like the grout color and that black faucet is for sure a great choice it really looks so good with the stainless steel sink. I really love your DIYs and I am so happy that I am subscribed to your channel. Thanks again for another great video, have a great day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂👋👍💜💜💜
You have inspired me to try to put a backsplash into my laundry room. If that goes well, the kitchen will be next. I have only lived without backsplashes for 17 years. Tiling Phobia is real! Your grout choice was smart- easier to match with changed paint/countertops or whatever you decide to remodel next.
Honestly I think that green grout could have been so so cute and a way to bring that color up to feel more cohesive, but it's your kitchen and I'm glad you love the results!
Yes but that would mean she's stuck with that color, she can't paint the cabinets in any color
I was thinking the same thing.
@@emilymulcahy Not really. It would take a while, but you can re-grout.
Give us a link to where you bought the tubing kit for your dish soap. I’ve been filling that small bottle for 17 YEARS. LOL
@@sandrastrobel1254 you can get them at any hardware store or Amazon, UA-cam doesn't allow outside links in comments
For merch, you should make a t-shirt the same color blue as the one Brian paints in, but have the design say something like "My DIY shirt" or something! Love the Kitchen!

Tina Le the Tiler. That kitchen with the dining area is just BEAUTIFUL.
it gives goosebumps when one of my favorite diyer also watch another favorite diyer work😍😍
OMG!! You've helped me so much with replacing the backsplash and the faucet. I especially loved the soap dispenser option. Thanks again!!
Beautiful kitchen! I love the green cabinets, tiles, and the black faucet is perfect for your space. Oh, and thank you for the dish soap dispenser hack! Genius.
11:29 Ayye Xo Makenna reference! I love her. New to your channel but loving the 2 vids I've seen so far :)
I’d love a coffee mug from you! Or something to make diy life easier. Little caddies, or a branded glue gun. Kitchen looks so so good!
All your updates look really good. Can I say that I really like that you took the switch covers OFF to paint? I think it shows the quality of your work that you take those few minutes to take them off instead of painting around them. Sandi

Definitely love the upgrade Tina great job on the tile and the small upgrades it’s definitely your style enjoy watching you and your husband diys
Put peel and stick paper on top of the cabinets. Wipes up so much easier than just bare paint. Love the backsplash
That's such a genius tip! Thank you I'll definitely do that in my next kitchen!!
Looks great! I did the peel and stick after watching your 1st kitchen video, same type but it was in a brick formation. Omgggg we used ultracolour as grout as well and HOLY COW WAS IT STRESSSSSSFULLLL. Love how your backsplash turned out!!
The backlash looks sooooo good. You never cease to amaze me with your budget friendly timeless approach to diy. Love it. ❤
I am super impressed by how straight it looks
Top tip for top of cupboards - the dust tends to be a tad greasy. Lay newspaper or cheap drawer liner on top for quick clean up
Yay! Best part about Mondays is here ❤
Great job!
For merch, I think something DIY-related would be fun. Like a mug / cup for paintbrushes. An apron. Some art prints.
Showpiece kitchen!!!! I love it!!!! I also admire how you and Brian work together!!!!❤️
Love seeing your progress and how you DIYd your kitchen!
Your kitchen looks awesome omg! 🤩 Well done on the tiling, it looks so professional and definitely the right choice to wait for the black faucet, it’s a much better colour for that space! I’m so jealous of your kitchen! 😍
Love the new faucet! And the tile looks so good! ❤👏🏻🫶🏻 great job!
Great job! 😍 your video has inspired me to finally add tile backslash to my kitchen! Loved the tip on the soap dispenser! Thank you so much!
New tile ,new faucet BIG IMPROVEMENT! I would've purchased a faucet that swivels though. Even though you have the sprayer, from experience, people have a tendency to try to move that faucet. And will loosen the base. But looks very nice!!!

I would totally buy prints / print designs from your merch store, excited for your website 👏🏽
The kitchen makeover turned out awesome, way to go. 🙏🏾🥰💖💯💫
I saw someone put painter's tape down first before the peel and stick so it comes off perfect, you can do that for floors too.
The upgrades are great! Love how it turned out ❤
It looks wonderful! The two of you are extremely talented.
Looks great! The black faucet made a huge difference!
My gosh, a tile mat!! What a wonderful invention.

I agree with the little face frame.

We just added a master bed bath, and it was so fun designing it!! It's about finished just waiting for the mirror now!
Joke's on me, I already put my peel and stick tiles over paint in my bathroom. Oh well, I'll fix it up before I move out. Thanks for the heads-up!

Omg I love your dining chairs!
I had the same problem with the top of my kitchen cabinets. I lined them with peal and stick vinyl and it makes so much easier to clean.
Great job I love watching your diy makeovers ❤
The update is beautiful.you did a good job 👍
Beautiful! I love it!!
Wow Tina ! Everything you work on , you make look so beautiful !
The kitchen tile looks great!
Hey Tina, if you didn't use alcohol and water spray before applying, and then you use a hairdryer, the heat actually lifts the paint as well.
GREAT job! I love all your choices.
It looks so good 😍 Well done Tina 🙌
It looks so good, you did an amazing job 😍

Nice job! I am so glad that we all get to learn from each other.
Beautiful job. Very inspirational, thanks for sharing😊
Looks really good. Loved the upgrades!
Peel and stick tile works best over tile. And yes definitely use heat if it has been put on a bare wall
You did an awesome job, Tina. The kitchen looks fabulous expensive. Love it.
GORGEOUS 🥰👏so talented and BRAVE 😊 I bet Brian is really proud of you and your DIY development and how you have transformed your home 👍👏🥰
So happy for you both, Beautiful home , if you were my daughter so proud!!
Beautiful! Nice teamwork 😊

Well done! It looks awesome!❤
Tina you always do an awesome job! God Bless!
It looks beautiful, including the new dining area wall.
Awesome job, it looks amazing 😍. Nothing like a sprayer faucet ❤️
So cute. Xo MaCenna just did a new composite sink, you could do a black on your next upgrade, would be the final touch! Good job!😊
Helpful hint: Put down press and seal on top of cabinets that way when you Spring Clean you pull it up and apply a new layer.
My mom taught me to lay cardboard above the cabinets, that way grease doesn’t build up on top over time. When you want to clean just throw away the old cardboard and put down fresh.

I used a dry tile snap and snips on my entire kitchen. Wet saw isn’t always necessary.
Looks awesome !! Are you going to trim out the odd cabinet doors so they also have the shaker style ? That would look so nice !!
I want updates on how that soap dispenser hack works please! I hate changing out our tiny soap dispenser
Great job on the kitchen
Looks great!
Beautiful! Job well done.
I wouldn't use faux tile in a home I own, I think the real tile looks great. You guys did an awesome job!
You have done a great job in your kitchen. 👍🥰
