- Jacksonville Jaguars Owner Shad Khan chimed in on the play-calling narrative, and his answer notwithstanding, I cringed. Because it is a non issue that gained legs unnecessarily. The team has 10 other things that are more important than that. Plus, I always think it's a bad idea when folks who aren't coaches think they know better than those coaches about coaching. Shad said what he said high key, not low key. Doug, you’re the head coach. Take control of your team and your offense. Last year was unacceptable to be 8-3 and only get 1 more win regardless of injuries, bad o-line and WR drops. Figure it out. Pretty simple to see what he meant. I’m an everydayer but come on Tony, you know what he meant. Love the show
Big facts. Khan is usually hands off until he needs to be hands on like Caldwells last year when he took control of the roster.
OL Coach and WR Coach shoulda got fired along with the defensive staff IMO.

@maniacslap1623 Yeah the Oline coach really flew under the radar when people were looking at "what went wrong". And the amount of miscommunication is on the coaches past a certain point. The 1st time, it's on the player, nobody is perfect. The 2nd time it's still on the player, gotta tighten up the mental mistakes or you'll be off the field. 3rd mistake and you still having miscommunication with the qb and you still on the field, that's on the coach. Either you're over complicating your system or you're playing the wrong guy. Either way its on the coach past that point

OL Coach and WR Coach shoulda been fired. Line was average to below average since Rauscher got here. Fortner, Bartch and Anton all looked good ass rookies. Fortner and Bartch obviously took a step back. Hope Anton can stay on the upward trajectory. None of the young WR answered the bell the last year outside of Parker, who was lost half the time still.
Shad has always had his finger on the pulse of the team and never moves for the sake of moving. His getting Coughlin put us in the playoffs. Once Caldwell lost the respect of the roster, Khan took control of it. Other than those 2 instances, Khan lets the football guys handle the football shyt like he’s always said and he’s done a lot to try and get us a consistent winner.

I'm hearing alot of excuses for press is this not the NFL ??? Learn to adapt plain and simple. 2022 we were playing behind the whole year came down to the last game sad. 2023 8-3 came down to the last game once again = no playoffs absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful to the fans that actually know football and waist there hard earned money on garbage when we have the talent smh. Do better and get rid of the cancer because everyone has 4-6 years to become a borderline playoff team lmfao get real tired of the excuses just for content
