Outstanding. I can't decide if it looks better in the air or on the ground where you can see all the details. Either way, it's a beauty thanks to your attention to detail!
Nice flight. Raymond Collishaw and Thomas Sopwith would be proud. Little point of interest. Anthony Fokker was inspired by the Sopwith tripe hound to make the Dr1.
Thanks FL Crocker, I did discover to my surprise that little fact when I was researching the model, isn't it amazing what used to happen... and still does I suppose 🤔👍
One of the problems with both full scale tri planes was with the single post strut out on the wing letting them twist. You might have a bit of twist in any one or more of the 6 wing halves, making it roll left. just something to check. Looks awesome😎 happy flying.
Cliff you've got a really fantastic 'plane now that she's sorted, it looks really stunning in flight especially when the sun shon through the wings. Have you ever considered fitting a sound generator? It would be fantastic with one. Congratulations.
Thanks Tony, I have looked into generators in the past but I haven't taken the plunge. I guess if I heard one at a display I would probably take the plunge 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes I know that you can "tune in" various sounds for the boat engine ones. Mtroniks make boat ones don't know if they do one for aircraft.
What a lovley flight cliff. And such a nice morning in Kingsteignton take it you were up early at the field? Did you manage to use or sell any of the ic engines from dad's collection hope they went to support your channel cliff. regards Chris from kingskerswell.
Hi Chris, thanks, it was about 10.30, busy the day before, I was surprised to be on my own. We can't fly before 10am in any case. Still got the engines but I have loosened them all up successfully, cheers. Ps my sister asked are you the same person who worked for the NHS in Brixham? 🙂👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes your right cliff done 31 years as a paramedic in the ambulance service worked all over the bay on relief but my main station was brixham.
Pretty plane, sir .. watching this, .. a person can be transported into that real world, when these planes were in operation. It looks like it do a somewhat scaled speed flying. So, it's stall speed is around 5 MPH, .. or maybe more, if that hillcrest area added to your headwind? Either way, .. I like the flying characteristics of your plane. Thanks
Lovely model. Cliff is it the filming or are you flying around your head? Felt like I was watching a bit of around the cliff for a while. 😂 Obviously model aircraft should always be flown in front of you.. Im guessing it's illusion of the camera.
What a magnificent flying machine, Cliff! So graceful... when it caught the sun on those low right turns, it looked like a giant dragonfly!
Ha ha Gina, great description, thanks for 👍
Beautiful Cliff! What a beauty. Glad you got her sorted. Very interesting history on the Sopwith Triplane.
Thanks Adam, what is amazing is the speed of development during the War, in only a matter of months a design is virtually obsolete 🤔👍
Great viewing Cliff. Well done.
Thanks Len 🙂👍
That was a nice smooth flight .
Thanks DM 👍
Impressive model, nicely finished, very stable flight…congratulations!
Many thanks Brian, I'm happy with her now, thanks for watching 👍
Nice flying...and she looks GREAT!
Thank you kindly 👍
Rc looks absolutely gorgeous. 😊
Well done Cliff.
Thanks Mark, you can't beat a Triplane 🙂👍
She flies Great Cliff!!!👍🧐😁
Cheers Pascal 👍
Cliff what a great looking and flying Tri, really looks nice scale flying. Amazing build. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff but the majority of the credit must go to the designer Mike Roach 👍🙂
Good result Cliff. Excellent!
Thanks Bob 👍
Looking good Mr Harvey!! Nice remaiden 🤓👍
Thanks Ian 🙂
Absolutely glorious. Thanks Cliff!
Glad you enjoyed it Tim, thanks for commenting 👍
Excellent flight Cliff I could tell by the expression on you're face 😎
Thanks Bob, always a giveaway 🙂👍
Very nice indeed! Congratulations on the great flight (and build). Looking forward to slow low passes next time!
Thanks Andrew, we'll have to wait till that wind drops 👍
Beautiful field!
@@barkebaat We're certainly blessed 👍

Cool, thanks 🙂👍
That's a great plane. Looks superb and 'sits' in the air very nicely. No nasty flight characteristics... What's not to love?🙂
Thanks Eleanor 👍
She sure does look cool in the air, Cliff.
Thanks David, I'll try for better footage next time 👍🙂
It IS beautiful!
It really is, thanks 👍

@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Never actually used one myself but have seen? heard them in use and they sounded great.
@@tonycamplin8607I've heard them on UA-cam but only WW2 engines, I wonder if you can get earlier sounds 🤔

Brilliant flight Cliff, great to see her fly again after Crash Testing before. Nine minuet flight time great. 🫡
Thanks Chris, l knew she had it in her 👍🤔
Flew really well Cliff😊 . What were the main improvements you made?
Thanks Jim, I increased the aileron throws (up), added a little more right thrust, coupled the rudder in a little and reset one of the wings 🙂
What was cause of the right turn Cliff?

You're quite right, with a top speed of 117mph she wasn't exactly a speed machine by today's standards 🤔👍
