This launch, announced by Iran's ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, marks the first instance of a private-sector initiative in Iran's space program, developed by the Iranian company Omid Faza. The satellites are designed for imaging and communication purposes and aim to support agriculture, environmental monitoring, and communications in remote areas.
