After this review I went and bought the ThinkScan Plus S7 and it's worked great on my 2021 Sprinter - the key really is make sure ALL firmware and software are updated. That is my only issue with the ThinkScan Plus is the two different spots you have to go to find updates, otherwise a great tool for Sprinter owners

Having to be connected to the internet is a deal breaker for me, what happened to the simple stand alone concept my last scanner had.
You don’t need to connect all the time only for updates.
Great video! I was hoping you could help me with some information for the S7 model. One of my vehicles needs the keys reprogrammed. I lost the keys. Bought new ones through the GM dealership and they cut them. I need to program them to the vehicle. I think they would charge me 100 or $150 to program them and I wondered if the S7 would do that?

What did you mean about resetting limp mode? Are you saying that limp mode can be disabled using the tool so you can drive at full capacity?
The times I have gotten limp on, a bmw x5 and Toyota corolla, I cleared it and it allow normal operation for a few more starts.

Many special functions not even supported on many cars I learned from reading the answers from the seller.
Many things seem to only work on certain cars of say 2006-2018. This is learned from reading answers to questions. Beware.
I learned in the hard way as I bought one for my 2016 Ford Escape trying to access my srs module RCM and the S7 says “ car not support “ 🤦🏻 wasted my money but I like the company I saw they have bi-directional units for low price.

bought it and the ECM displayed the wrong mileage...even switched to "km" and still showed it in "miles"..not only that but it was off by 11k miles more than what the odometer shows on the dash!!!!
waste of time and $$...will return it.
(had 2 other readers run same scan and those showed almost exact mileage (off by 1-6 miles)

Congrats on opening your own shop and from owning my own shop in past I would suggest starting off with Mucar vo6 ( same as the thinkcar mini or topdon artiag800bt and both include lifetime updates but you can purchase bi directional support if needed for $49 per yearper make but you may not really need it but it's nice to have the option with having to buy another tool ) and later on upgrading to a topdon Phoenix Elite. Due in part to your nice video, I ended up getting the Thinkscan Plus S7. I've used it several times so far and have yet to choose my three included updates. So yes, you can wait until you need one to choose it.

Can this do fast learn adapt on a gm transmission?
Can it programming Mercedes keys after 2008?And can also communicate with Japan cars maybe?
Best thing is do is use the link in the video description and ask for a list of feature for your exact vehicle. And to answer your key question for the 2008 mbz, the answer is no.

I think scan, mucar, and Topdon are all the same. The Phenoix elite from Topdon can do such resets.

Look for sas on the scan tool and it can walk you through the directions and help you set it. I set on a Vw Jetta and it took me a few tries.

out of the box brand new it got stuck on no available network, i tried everything and didn't pass that, customer service sent me a bunch files and links and nothing work, cant use it, waste of money

I didn't not try and don't have a flex flue vehicle to try it on. I like the price of e85 currently
@@RANDOMFIX yea my alcohol content percentage is messed up so I have a extended crank issue. It's a bad problem with these flex fuel vehicles & my local garage wants 100 to go in and reset it. I figured if it would do it I'd spend the 200 & have it for any other issues I may have. But as for the e85 gas, I can't even use the e85 bc the closest station that sells it is 65 miles away from me.

Good question on depending on the make this can vary email support and them for list of requirements and Make sure your vehicle is supported. Just because the option is there doesn’t mean it will work for your vehicle. Good luck and let me know what you find out along with the make model of your vehicle.

It's supposed but when I did the on my Prius it showed on error. Didn't connect. Maybe they fixed it with an update. You can always email the vendor and your vin and ask for a list of supported features.

Email the vendor as it is probably not supported. Not every option is supported on very make.
Can u adjust odometer?
It say yes but I've never tried. Lost of manufactures have their own lock lock for protection from odometer fraud.

does anyone know: the factory said it will do a DPF regen on my Citroen relay---but i cant get an answer to say if it can read "DPF saturation" levels...anyone have any feedback...? maybe you can read on the live data screen...? i want to see how full the dpf is before i re-gen..thanks lots
I would email the vendor your vin number ask if it has that function. We don’t have many Citroen in the USA.
