Honestly sketch books are my favourite piece of art equipment. Nothing like looking back at the visual vomit you churned out on a Wednesday night 3 months ago and trying to decipher what it is.
Mine are specially weird because I am also a software engineer and I use the sketch book also to scribble my ideas of how to solve things. So there are random anatomy drawings alongside plants for AI systems I work on, specially strange to see.
with the advent of computers, drawing is kinda cumbersome and time-consuming, no need for it anymore.
@@sorewreckedum3002 hope you change your mindset one day ☺️

A Peter sketchbook tour to kick off the weekend? Yes to all!
7:30 - 7:50 is a slam poem
‘Good job Peter’
I was very pleased to hear this in the video. It's easy to be harsh and dismissive in reviewing our own work.
this was awesome. I don't usually see art like this so this flip through was such a treat
u are my light throw this art storm much love
I really like your old Sketchbook, way more than the new one!!! What you where drawing back then are stunning! The new ones, have your identity but they don't have the beauty the old ones used to have! The old fat bald man sitting on the chair, the ubstract with red like blood rops and some whit in it to highlight the red drops! The other one, where you said that yo didn't like the sloppy parts it had, however it look magnificent! Those for example, are some of my favorites of anything yu've created!
this looks like it's gonna be a fun video! I wish you luck on your future endeavors peter!
"I bought this at the grocery store" you icon ✊🏻😌
Good stuff. 😎
As per your new mic, it sounded very much like old AM radio or something of the like. No wait! It sounded like an old 80's or 90's telephone. The usual warm of your voice was gone missing.
I hope you continue being well.
Thank you for sharing all these sket... all your art.
Apologies. My original comment was prompting you to draw on A3 or A2 size paper until I searched and found that you've already done that.
Great sketchbook tour! 😃👍 I enjoyed seeing your creations and hearing your commentary on them. I look forward to the next sketchbook tour.
Soo good!!!!
book of zany inventions. the schematics are excellent.
I love your drawings, the way you draw. I wish I could draw like you because it looks so absorbing and satisfying and the results (your results) are wonderful. But I can’t…it’s jut not in my nature, so I’ll just enjoy yours. Lol.
*Accidentally draws the gta gunshop* *as well as star wars-y things*
Actually a really good mic for $11
love it. so amazing. greetings from bavaria.
Hello Peter.
hello!
I got the Tism watching this
36:20 I thought it was conducting a regular self-inspection to check for any emerging issues.
Have you heard of the video game Machinarium? You might like the art style, sort of machine and pipe bits in a robot wasteland city
love it!
Brilliant, thanks a lot, so inspiring. By the way, these were Moisture Vaporators 😀
Does anyone have any recommendations on cheap ish, medium sized sketchbooks that ships internationally? Having a hard time finding any.
Please let me know the name of the headphones you got on i want em!!!!!
Does anyone know what his profession is, Like what did he go to school for?
Peter what are your opinions on cacti
i like tender touching
That blue one with the ghosted background is so sick. Most of your stuff is. How did you get that ghosting effect?
love your stuff because I think that artistically, you think like me. However, I'm not as good. But, I'm a very good graffiti artist. You should do some graffiti pieces in your books. I have a few books of just graffiti stuff.
Also, if not for you, I wouldn't be binding my own books. Well, not the ones I'm making now. You turned me on to RENDR paper. I won't draw on anything else unless it's pencil or charcoal. And I'm particular about the kind of book I use. So, I make my own now using only RENDR. It's the best paper I've ever used. It's worth 20$ for 24 sheets.
I'll use other stuff if I'm doing a pencil drawing but I pretty much only use ink, paint, and stickers. I know, It's odd. I'm an "out of the box" kind of person.
"Pretty normal Deathray setup"
"Squigglies and Blobs"-- by Peter D.
We have the same name
Into the occult Peter? @ 1:58
😍🖖
Do you ever draw under psychedelics?

He sounds like Nogla
"It's a nuclear powered banana straightener, it's kind of self-explanatory." 😆
I love the idea that you need that much power to un-bend a nana
@@jjskn93 I love the idea that a banana needs straightening. 🤣
And after all the work, time, and effort the universe put into it to bend it. Some people I guess just wanna pay extra for the straight ones. 🤷♀️
It's a sad state theese christians are in conversion therapy even to a banana shame on you its natural
Every time I see his Art I’m mesmerized. How and why can he draw something so specific but imaginary out of nothing
I could watch this kind of video until the end of time.this guy is magical
Incredible as usual, your drawings continue to be a constant source of inspiration to me
I love hearing your thoughts as you flip through 😄 and yes the microphone sounds great!
I love the headset Peter, it gives me that sports coach vibe. Serious business!!!!
Heya Peter, I recently started getting serious with my art again after a rough patch in my life where I just couldn’t pick up my tablets pen and I just wanted to say that watching your videos always inspire me to draw even if it’s a dumb meme I thought of or something. Something about the casual laid backness of your videos along with your art make them perfect for watching while I’m sketching or trying to wrap my brain around how human bodies look lol. Keep up the good work it’s been amazing seeing your channel grow the past few years!
great youtube name obi-wan, I have to say
this is my birthday gift
happy birthday!
Hap bd foo!
Happy Birthday! 🤗🤗🤗
thanks everyone
@@ADUMBMAN I like the frog
Mic sounds great. 😆 that's pretty awesome it's only $11.
The StarWars thing is called a hydration vaporator (for moisture farming)
Peter, I would love to see you make a video showing us some of the pieces that you're most proud of, or ones that you just really enjoy and what your favourite things are about them.
You're ability to finish a sketchbook always impresses me, I have so many half filled ones but not a single completed one 🤦🏼♀️
Thank you for another relaxing/satisfying/interesting/engaging video. You're art, voice and personality cheer me up every time 👍☺️
39:15 - I love this drawing in particular. I like the division of the space. It feels like the open sky above some sort of hybrid organic and machine complex on the ground. The building looks a little like an art nouveau style space vehicle. It's a really cool playground for my imagination. And I treasure those fine lines and details. I wouldn't change anything about it.
This is one of my faves too!
Ilove this one
I totaly agree with both of you, Peter and you i mean. I like this drawing a lot but i understand that Peter think it is overwhelming.
Personally I cant wait for more of your art to become purchasable. I'll wait patiently.
😐is it done yet?
Oh and Luke Skywalkers aunt and uncle were moisture farmers
You say it's just patting yourself on the back but you also criticized a lot of them as well. I think it's quite constructive to look back at past drawings and critique yourself.
If I found a mysterious lamp that contained a genie and he would say to me ‘what is your wish? I can offer wealth, beauty, a castle on a lake, a sail boat big enough to sail the world with your very own crew. Your wish is my command. I’d simply say … ‘I’d like to draw like Peter!’.
have you thought about putting the pen name and date somewhere in the drawing?
I personally think it's good to date the stuff we do, like sketches. I've gone back through some of my stuff, and wished I'd dated it because you might think you'll always remember, but you don't. It's nice to have a gauge to see how you've progressed.
If someone in 100 years finds Peters drawings they would probably interpret 1000 things into one drawing and talk about it for hours on which emotions the artist had gone through. Then in reality peter just flips through the sketches "yea thats a house".
The microphone works just fine. Nice bargain!
Its been a while since ive been looking at your channel, i come back and you have a callcenter head set xd beautiful
This was very relaxing and I remember watching the videos of some of those drawings 🙂
I would think it would be fun to check back in 10 years and see what's been done ⌚⏰
Ever thought about being a concept artist ? you have a very unique style that would really work in that sector i think.
Its just that i can imagine a indie game like "limbo" with landscapes/objects/creatures made from your drawings.
In black and with and then a person in a color to contrast the rest of the world (32:48).
it's always a nice day when peter pops up in my notifications

If picasso became famous for his work, we're watching the history of grand mastery in the making lol. Thanks for letting us in 🤯👍!
$11 headset microphone sounds good.
With that headset, you've turned into coach Peter. We're gonna make it to regionals with your guidance.
the microphone surprising sounds good!
Get an assistant to do the basic things like scanning, maybe even the color grading and then approve each page.. idk, something like that.
I would apply for that job!
The headset is amazing!! Makes me think about my old computer tech class🖤
been following since 2015 and i love to see you're still making beautiful art.
Ive fallen out of drawing since high school, and haven't got back into it yet, but i'm trying.
Keep up the good work, Peter. Your work is a great inspiration to guys like me who are not specially "talented" in Art, and right now are using the many art projects to ude them as inspiration and also for ideas on what to draw next. Thank you for everything you do, Peter, and keep up the great work,
Peter, please create a kindle book on Amazon of your ink, B&W drawings. I am very old and my “housing is iffy so I am getting rid of most of my possessions, especially books. I am trying to replace as many of my favorite art books with kindle books. Nowhere near as wonderful as actual books but, c’est la vie. I do my reading on kindle now or use the library’s digital book services. I would love to buy your kindle book so I can peruse it at my leisure. Thanks for your UA-cam tour. That book would be fabulous to buy and download.
This is the first art channel that's made me want to go back to drawing again. Granted, I don't watch a lot of them, but it's still impressive.
I really enjoyed all the cool machine like drawings :) feeling very inspired
Here's what I want. I want you to read the book "The Starless Sea" and I want you to draw it.
Ironic that I'm 9mnths late to this vid eh Peter? I thought the fingers in the mouth thing was weird until veiwing the full video. Then I realized that babies like to be held, snuggled, and to gnaw the fingers of peeps. No way its gonna take ya 10 yrs to pblsh. However overwhelmed things seem.
Every drawing an adventure and discovery. Really enjoyed the video and the narration. Fascinating and inspiring,
Good Morrrrrning Peter 🌶🌈🥥🫐🥬🌊☕️🤩🐝☀️🌴🍋

"I used to draw suns when i was little and add sunglasses" Everyone did, i think 😄
Loving your ink work! I really want to be able to stack shapes like that into complex robot forms but it is really hard for me,
Thank you Peter. I always enjoy watching you go through your sketchbooks. It gives another layer of your thinking about your artwork.
I'm mesmerized by your work. Could you comment on the average time you spend on one of these pages? Thanks.
Shame about the lack of tolerance for the cat 🙄
do you try to guilt trip all non cat owners
I just wished you gave yourself and the cat more time, that's all. Cats change their routine often, so your sleep pattern w would have Probably returned to normal soon enough. But maybe you could have kept him in another room for the night with everything it needed until you some up. Wear some ear plugs to block out any meowing. It would have adjusted in time.
Plus cats need attention, and some play time. Ideally if it was allowed out in a safe area that would be beneficial to both of you. I am sure it would have worked out. But never mind. It's gone now. Hopefully to a better home with owners who genuinely love cats
It took eleven minutes to reach the answer to my immediate question. 😄
That microphone sounds great to me. Amazing what you can get for a few bucks now!
The drawing at 40:12 looks like the Virgin Mary tattoos people have deliberately drawn like a vagina and I love it for that.
Peter should do a Mobius style sci fi graphic novel
I dont even draw or watch too much mindless UA-cam videos but this guy is so entertaining. Hoping it'll motivate me to start
I prefer the previous microphone ngl. This one sounds a bit off.
Im so proud you’re almost at a million subs
“Pen & Ink” is Cockney rhyming slang for “stink”
My drawing hand gets twitchy.... sketchbooks do that to me.
i always come back to these videos bc they are my favorite asmr
Your art style is mind-blowingly amazing , and so is the fact that you have a crate worth of sketchbooks .
I wish i could take 6 months off from work to just fill pages upon pages and draw , draw , draw ... I've drawn for years and have almost nothing to show for it , and now that i'm working 12h a day , it feels like my art mojo is slowly dying ...
These are my favorite type of your videos. Always fascinating. Thanks for all the great content!
You have a great channel, creative.
solaire of astora is your least favorite :( sun bros everywhere are saddened
Peter is the best.
Hello Peter 👋
Great sketchbook tour. I can imagine a character discovering your sketchbooks hundreds of years from now, trying to figure out what ink and nib.. doing a whole investigation on the art and the meaning 😄 that would be interesting.
This ink celebration has inspired me to get off the web and draw this instant!
I’ve been waiting for another sketchbook tour for so long
Automatic Natural Selector! I love that.
