Why would any foreign business entity be interested to buy PIA because when they know that they will hardly get any productive time because Pakistani pilots/ cabin crew/ admin. staff will require 5 hrs./day for Namaj as is evident from Pakistani conduct in UAE.

Very gratifying to see plight of those who promoted separatism and extremism in other countries. The birds are coming home to roost finally. There is justice after all in this world.
Any Investors who will buy PIA, will have to hire a new group of Qualified pilots. The old PIA pilots are unworthy of flying any aircrafts.
Same is the case with engineering and other ground staffs.
In short, any Investors who even think of buying PIA, is entering into a huge abyssal contract.
It would be like dumping all the dollars down the drain.
Unions are very strong. First of all they won't allow privatization and if it is privatised by hooks or crooks, unions will not allow the invester to move a small finger. THE FINAL STRAW WILL BE FATWAS AND
BLASPHEMY CHARGES
BY MULLAS AGAINST THE PRIVATE INVESTOR AND THEIR EMPLOYEES.

Rofl.. When your Government gets out to invest they look at their personal interests and kickbacks.. The loans you have taken from the Chinese banks and financial institutions are all at exorbitant rates . The infrastructure you have built with it are all one sided and benefit only the Chinese companies and suppliers with all the profits going to the Chinese manufacturers / suppliers and banks . Why do you think the IMF has imposed strict restrictions on using their money to make Chinese debt repayments . Those loans and repatriations make no commercial sense for your country as the interest and capacity payments are a total rip off.

Anyway this will help you to reduce govt liability. We too had divested our state run enterprises and to raise funds for productive resources or to manage fiscal deficit and inflation. You too need cash in hand to mitigate immediate crisis!

GOI solds its many assets to pvt players during pandemic and stake sell in LIC at right time and avoided fiscal expansion and inflation. I think it is good move by govt of pakistan to come out of this hyper inflation phase!

on say home loan when you have no cash in your hand or bank. Obviously you will either sell your bike or car sitting idle to save your home. This is why liquid assets are necessary to pay for your payable. Too much overseas loans are bleeding pakistan economy apart from several other reasons!
