Hey! I'd love to see a video explaining the "theme your own component" part. I've read the doc about the mixins and stuff, but I can't quite wrap my head around it. Thanks!
A cool feature that can be interesting to discuss is how to customize the theming of material, how to provide one's theme, how the approach used on material website can be used for toggling dark mode. All the info are already there on the official website, but it will be great to see you demonstrating it again 😃. #angularFan #materialAddict
@@twerske Maybe also example uses of ngClass and ngStyle, also maybe a tour of angular cdk and material components and overcoming common gotchas based on stackoverflow questions.

Great content and precise. You can include material theme customizations to give it your own look and feel, and also making it responsive in your upcoming videos. Thank you.
Thank u it's awesome , but it's seems like material has little limitation on layout control like flex and other !! . Do u think combining ng-material with another library like bootstrap for example is good practice or not ?
This is very frustrating. Where is all the work you did behind the scenes? Why are there never working examples of styled Material Design websites by Google? This is bait and switch. Not only do you not get to see an app like the "Tada!", but none of the styling is in the repository. This is the case every time I try to see an actual real world example of Material Design (non-bootstrap mimic) website. What is the purpose of this video?
Hi George - thanks for the feedback! The purpose of this video is to introduce developers to Angular Material, adding the library and adding their first component. You can find the solution code for the components I chose linked in the video description! The most recent commit on that branch shows the changes I made - mostly lots of icons :) (I'd link them here but UA-cam won't let me add links to comments)
@@twerske btw I just thougt about it from this comment, there's a couple of material style generators for creating your own themes but the material design site doesn't recommend any, maybe you can't answer now but it would help a lot for there to be an official angular material stylesheet theme generator on the site or at least point to the recommended one in material docs, I used a lot of time researching and not knowing which one to trust.

Would really love to see crash course about positioning (Angular Flex Layout), since there isn't really much documentation around
I personally recommend using SCSS/CSS flexbox and grid in your applications 🎨
@@twerske Too bad I'm allergic to CSS. haha
Awesome video Emma! Can't wait for more #AngularAesthetics :)

Hi Emma, how long did it take for you to add material theme to this app?
This is using the prebuillt indigo-pink theme, so 0 minutes! - I definitely want to customize and dive into the theming @mixins in the future!
@@twerske following to learn more about mixins😁😁
