So my Dear, theirs a beautician on here that says grease should never be put on the scalp. I told her to help her statement make sense. I said we used it for years growing up and our hair grew down our back. It did not block our scalp or cause infections.
Absolutely right….when I had a perm over 12 years ago I used the blue container sulfur 8 specifically for my scalp for itching and it worked. Plus decades ago hair grease was used on my scalp too
This is so true I was going to say the same thing sulfur 8 was used for itchy hair , we use Glovers Maine with Vaseline, sulfur with Vaseline made the hair grow really good kept if from itching or breaking most black mothers back in the day use those items and blue magic hair grease hair grew like wild fire

Great video. Thanks for the countdown. Have you heard of or tried Nature's Blessings hair pomade (grease). Ingredients are: Nettle, Rosemary, Sage, Peppermint, Thyme, Alfalfa, Pure Virgin Olive Oil, Pure Coconut Oil, Sage Oil, Rosemary Oil, Bergamont Oil, Chlorophyll (from nettle and spinach), Pure Mineral Jelly, Natural Fragrance and Good Intention. I bought it on Amazon years ago and believe it's been around a long time, like Dax.
Thank you very much. I have actually heard of Nature’s Blessing and I would loooove to try it, but I can’t find it in the UK. Those ingredients sound amazing. Thank you 🙌🏾
I have used this myself on my scalp I find it too light for my hair I think lol but it’s great for the scalp because it has stimulating oils for the scalp. Thankfully I found a supplier here in toronto Canada that sells it I slightly have heat damage myself but it’s not noticeable I did a very light trim and rocking it not gonna lie I still have curls no straight pieces but I’m enjoying not so much shrinkage.
Dax is definitely old school. It was a staple during my childhood… that Sulfur 8 will clear up any nasal congestion you have 😅😅 But they are both excellent if you have an itchy dry scalp… as a kid, my mother used it for my hair to grow it out when I had severe hair loss… again old school. I may have to try Cantù… you’ve piqued my interest. Great choices. 🎉
I grew my hair back with sulfur 8 back in the day they made it with real sulfer or you can buy real sulfur and mix it with Vaseline, and you can mix Glover's main with baseline they work well remember it's old school pressing oil is good for straightening hair it is kind of heavy if your not careful 😊
Great video! I actually started using pure 100% cosmetic grade mineral oil on my hair as a finisher after I straighten. I know oils don't moisturize but mineral oil sure gives the feeling that it does! I stopped using grease because I wanted to be able to get my hair clean with one lather and that's not possible with petrolatum. Mineral oil however, washes away very easily with my sulfate shampoo.
Thank you lovely. I have to agree with you. My hair loves mineral oil, especially the pink moisturiser 🙌🏾. I find petrolatum is hard to wash out if I wash my hair weekly, but if I wash it bi-weekly, the grease amount reduces in my hair. But I still have to lather twice 🤣🫣
I would say that a lot of these skin and hair car products are in the wrong containers. Produ is that are thick like the Cantue in your video, should be in a gar, with a screw on lid so that the product can easily applied by you taking out what you need and applying it with your hands or fingers. However the manufactures put the products in thick glass or metal ,plastic containers you can't see through, you don't know if the amount printed on the bottle is inside the bottle, the solution is usually very thick. I had to pry the top off a bottle and try to shake the product out but I ended up sticking a straw or something down into the container to scrape the product out! It should have been in a jar, similar to dime store cold cream, like Ponds or Noxzema! Because charging all that money for a container is wrong, if you can't get the product out the bottle or see how much is really inside!
