Melodifestivalen always has excellent sound production during the live shows, you can compare any song from the Swedish competition with live recordings from other countries, and any Swedish song is gonna sound better than most recordings from elsewhere.
Habeha Maha Well, Sweden has given you some really bad songs in Eurovision though. Years like 1973, 1977, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1997, 2005 and 2009 are just embarrassing, imho.

It was just such a travesty, people were like "Let´s send something different that will stand out!". Yea, 0 p from most countries and a 21st place. Not a surprise. I was rooting for Sarah Dawn Finer with "Moving On", or Måns with "Hope & Glory". Agnes and Alcazar was also great that year. They would have done so much better that that ridiculus joke opera entry.
Watching melfest for the first time in our life with my family, from France, we wanted The Mamas, we are proud of the Swedish choice and we were impressive how Sweden is implicate in this song contest! And make other countries proud of them! This is what I love and I give all my support and french votes in May to this incredible womans!

I can definitely see why Dotter was so popular. But this song is something else - instead of technical precision it clearly stands out with something that tends to be significantly harder to achieve: pure feeling conveyed with true natural talent. The energy of this performance will lighten up many dark Northern European winters to come and without doubt shine bright on the upcoming finale night in Rotterdam!
Sweden is consistently good however many of their recent entries have just felt a bit sterile. You got it right it'll brighten a lot of our harsh winters. I moved to Malmö a few years ago and the attitudes towards Eurovision here are incredible, completely different to what I had back in London. My only regret is that I can't vote for this masterpiece
@@noahbowie5985 Always the same songwriters and producers that send in like 70+ songs every year. Then they select a few songs, ask different artists that they think suit the song, then make a routine that is trying to stand out. So yeah I think our Melodifestivalen is saturated with generic songs.

While I have to say that Dotter was my favourite, and still is, I am absolutely not mad that we got The Mamas :) I mean for real, the lyrics might be a bit cliche, but their charisma and positive energy is undeniable AND infectious. The song is so inspiring and refeshing to hear, especially because they perform it so well
What impressed me the most is that they are able to channel the message authentically. Some people do want to spread a message like this, but end up looking like a doof maybe because they don't look as happy as the song, or do too much

I think you´re misunderstood what the Big 5 is. It´s not about the 5 countries with the most quality, it´s the 5 countries with largest population and money. And since they pay the most, they get a automatic ticket into the grand final. Sweden is way too small, and we rather prove that we deserve to be in the final every year.

This song was AMAZING! Heard of the group through ‘the voice’ and had to look them up. I really wish you had a bigger following and would release in America. I truly believe you ladies are immensely talented! Wishing you all the best and prayers all your hopes, dreams, and wishes come true!
It must be quite confusing as an American. To understand it one must understand Eurovision, and the Swedish selection show Melodifestivalen, I think. Melodifestivalen goes on for weeks, it´s a tour, and people get very attached to certain artists and songs, think of it as fans of different sports team, and then the day after the big game, there are a lot of disappointed fans. Especially when it was a very even game, The Mamas won with 1 p over Dotter. So it´s like if you´re rooting for a team, in say basket ball, and you think they´re going to win the most important game of the year, and then in the last second the other team scores. That leaves a lot of really disappointed Dotter fans, a lot of them very young, that are frustrated and bitter, and they then dislike the winning team. That´s the first part of it. Then it´s Eurovision. 41 countries battling it out. A lot of national pride and people wanting their song to be the winner, or at least in the top 20, top 10 or top 5. So then there are some who go around and dislike and troll on all the other countries comment section, trying to take them down, and make people dislike those more than they dislike their countries entry. The countries that is percieved as the most threats often get the most of it. Sweden has been quite successful for the last decades, with 2 wins, and a lot of good placements, which annoys some people, so whatever Sweden sends, there will always be haters. In addition there is of course the usual trolls, who will critizise and bully people for their looks,their skin color, their gender, their weight, their nationalites and so on. That´s about it. Sorry for the essay.... TL;DR It´s a part of a big game, and there are a lot of frustrated fans of the losing entries.

This is the first time in years (except for "Dance You Off", which was kind of a guilty pleasure for me) that I'm actually glad to root for a Swedish entry on Eurovision. I'm aware that The Mamas could do with an even better song than this one, but come on, they're irresistible! Pure sunshine served on a platter, making us smile and tap our feet away! I'm very happy for them. They were the strongest link in "Too Late for Love" and now The Mamas finally get the entirety of the spotlight just for them. Well deserved.

But I'm a sucker for the kind of retro-synth that "Dance You Off" was giving us, even though it was nothing groundbreaking, so i was quite down with it. The Mamas however have the full package. There's no way this is not going to be top 3.

I don´t think I ever has been so disappointed after Melodifestivalen as I was in 2009. It was just such a travesty, people were like "Let´s send something different that will stand out!". Yea, 0 p from most countries and a 21st place. Not a surprise.
I was rooting for Sarah Dawn Finer with "Moving On", or Måns with "Hope & Glory". Agnes and Alcazar was also great that year. They would have done so much better that that ridiculus joke opera entry.

Watching melfest for the first time in our life with my family, from France, we wanted The Mamas, we are proud of the Swedish choice and we were impressive how Sweden is implicate in this song contest! I can definitely see why Dotter was so popular. But this song is something else - instead of technical precision it clearly stands out with something that tends to be significantly harder to achieve: pure feeling conveyed with true natural talent. The energy of this performance will lighten up many dark Northern European winters to come and without doubt shine bright on the upcoming finale night in Rotterdam!
Sweden is consistently good however many of their recent entries have just felt a bit sterile. You got it right it'll brighten a lot of our harsh winters. I moved to Malmö a few years ago and the attitudes towards Eurovision here are incredible, completely different to what I had back in London. My only regret is that I can't vote for this masterpiece

This is why I choose not to follow selections, everyone gets agressive when their favorite doesn't win, it makes you not see the potential of the winner and keep overjudging them, seriously this is soo good, 3 amazing professional singers giving some happy and positive vibes, come on ! While I have to say that Dotter was my favourite, and still is, I am absolutely not mad that we got The Mamas :) I mean for real, the lyrics might be a bit cliche, but their charisma and positive energy is undeniable AND infectious. I think you´re misunderstood what the Big 5 is. It´s not about the 5 countries with the most quality, it´s the 5 countries with largest population and money. And since they pay the most, they get a automatic ticket into the grand final. Sweden is way too small, and we rather prove that we deserve to be in the final every year.

As an american, i don't understand why people are angry about this song, its lit.

It must be quite confusing as an American. To understand it one must understand Eurovision, and the Swedish selection show Melodifestivalen, I think. Melodifestivalen goes on for weeks, it´s a tour, and people get very attached to certain artists and songs, think of it as fans of different sports team, and then the day after the big game, there are a lot of disappointed fans. Especially when it was a very even game, The Mamas won with 1 p over Dotter. So it´s like if you´re rooting for a team, in say basket ball, and you think they´re going to win the most important game of the year, and then in the last second the other team scores. That leaves a lot of really disappointed Dotter fans, a lot of them very young, that are frustrated and bitter, and they then dislike the winning team. That´s the first part of it.
Then it´s Eurovision. 41 countries battling it out. A lot of national pride and people wanting their song to be the winner, or at least in the top 20, top 10 or top 5. So then there are some who go around and dislike and troll on all the other countries comment section, trying to take them down, and make people dislike those more than they dislike their countries entry. The countries that is percieved as the most threats often get the most of it. Sweden has been quite successful for the last decades, with 2 wins, and a lot of good placements, which annoys some people, so whatever Sweden sends, there will always be haters.
In addition there is of course the usual trolls, who will critizise and bully people for their looks,their skin color, their gender, their weight, their nationalites and so on.
That´s about it. Sorry for the essay....
TL;DR It´s a part of a big game, and there are a lot of frustrated fans of the losing entries.

This is the first time in years (except for "Dance You Off", which was kind of a guilty pleasure for me) that I'm actually glad to root for a Swedish entry on Eurovision. I'm aware that The Mamas could do with an even better song than this one, but come on, they're irresistible! Pure sunshine served on a platter, making us smile and tap our feet away! I'm very happy for them. They were the strongest link in "Too Late for Love" and now The Mamas finally get the entirety of the spotlight just for them. Well deserved.

This song is exactly what Eurovision stands for: feel good, quality, fun, unique, musical entertainment and that’s why I really hope The Mamas do well in May, they truly deserve it :)

Love the fact that these ladies were side singers for ev 2019 and decided to go solo this year. Unbelievable that three ladies sound like a whole orchestra. Best song in my opinion.
