The forest cards are meant to be Ancient Pixie Dragon support, but for some reason, the field spell's last effect doesn't trigger the dragon's draw effect...
They did add a draw on the field spell, so if you can rotate them in any order, you can draw 1 card every turn, if you control a Level 7 or 8 Dragon Synchro. It also works with Krishnerd Witch, which helps you bring back either one of these monsters for another synchro summon.
@@leeeyles1864 Yeah true, but in the manga that's how Mang Ruka triggered Ancient Pixie Dragon's effect during her standby phrase, so it's a shame you can't do that in the real game. Not terrible but just a missed opportunity.
The field spell is from the 5ds manga. It was used by Luna. Her deck was a light beast deck themed around rotating her field spell around, though it also had Morphtronics since she shared the deck with Leo in the manga. There are tons of other ones too that she used from the manga so I'm hoping that we get all of them and have a deck that rotates field spells a lot. It would be an interesting concept. Bat the Forest Ninja and Wonko Noble Knight of the Forest were also cards used by her in the manga. I would love to see the other cards from this too since they are all light beast monsters and would make for an interesting and fun deck.
For those who don’t know, the Ice Cards from the Start were from Alexis’ Deck in the GX Manga. In the Manga she played a Deck full of Water attribute Spellcasters that searched out her bigger Monsters like Blizzard Princess and Ice Queen, and also searched out strong Spells like Cold Wave. She also used a small engine of cards around Ice Counters, in the Form of Ice Enchantress and Ice Master.
Ice Doll cards are really good Ice Barrier support. Ice Doll is another extender, but synergizes really well with Mirror Master and is another searcher for Revealer since she's a WATER Spellcaster. Ice Doll Mirror is also just a neat extender and is an amazing Plan B for when Revealer gets negated because you can summon another Revealer and send Mirror Master from Deck to GY. I know that I put a lot of emphasis on Ice Barriers here, but these two cards I can see being more staples in the Deck because it provides a lot of utility for the Deck
I like S38, it complements Harbinger, if your opponent already activated a passive spell that you can't negate with Harbinger, slap S38 on top and suck it.
The Ice stuff is manga cards used by Alexis and Ice Pillars is actually kind of fun if you play stun like me. Cuz one of the cards Doll searches is Blizzard Princess, a lvl 8 who on normal summon locks the opponent out of spell/traps for the turn. Since pillars is a quickplay and the grave effect isn't limited to your turn (unless there's a ruling I'm forgetting) you can summon her on the opponent's turn. The cards are also nice in Ice Barrier and makes running Medium more doable as Pillars by itself gives you the materials and the extra summon and she's like slightly worse Ice Princess but not really (the spell/trap lock is the full duel as long as she's on field in exchange for letting them activate only 1 per turn instead of none)
@@chewdoom8415 Yeah, EDO fixed the wording. Oh well, just means it's for Medium and not Princess instead, not the worst fate since it's all stuff you'd run anyway in Ice Barriers

I 100% agree. Cards don't need to be broken in a vacuum. They just need to be useful in a situation. I for one absolutely love the S38 for my BE cause is an option for back row hate
@jerryglennii1406 A monster that can shut off spell and traps effects and stop your opponent from activating them, as well as giving him more materials, is huge. It's definitely worth the slot, especially since I love photon/galaxy eyes in general
@@jerryglennii1406 for passive backrow hate we already have the new trap card. Also the new xyz for blue-eyes that negates every face-up card on the field on xyz summon. 12:32 I think the card is not as bad as you think. First of all regular Nr.38 is a great endboard piece no question. However the following turn having the possibility to change it from a defensive type card to an offensive one is pretty good. Thanks to its first effect as a regular Nr.38 it has potentialy more material and in its second form it can get more materials atk directly if needed and transform into zeus with how much material? I mean ofc you will see the first form more often but the second form makes sense and is a good counterpart imo. Rank 8 decks dont have a extradeck slot problem like sharks do sooo why not?
@@Pkey995 I just don’t even think its effects are actually that offensive. I’d kinda just rather have regular 38 on board even on the next turn🤷🏼♂️ plus saves you an ED slot
@JustNutzProd they lit are. Removing spell/traps is an offensive effect. Atk directly is an offensive effect. While regular nr 38 is deffensive -> negating spells protecting other monsters from atks. Everything in the second form screems offensive but in nr.38 way. Even if the counterpart is ofc worse it has purpose for explosive plays. And it just happens to be a good way to setup Zeus aswell. Im not saying that it will be played every game when nr.38 is out. But there are good reasons for this to be in an extradeck when you are already playing nr 38. And like I said no rank 8 deck is struggling with ed slots. + when I say offensive Im talking boardbreaker offensive and not finisher offensive like Accesscode for example.
@@Pkey995 yeah but if all our opponent could do is set 1-2 backrow going second, then the game is pretty much in hand barring very few specific matchups like Labrynth. And attacking directly for 1500 is just down right irrelevant other than time scenarios tbh

Honestly, i could possibly see the hope harbinger xyz being used as a way to end games that could go long, but I'm not sure if its more valueable than something like an extra utility extra deck piece. Hope harbinger is already a house, so its unlikely thisll be a reason people play it.
I think the only playable high level cards with the Ice pack is the Blizzard Princess and Medium of the Ice Barrier. The first one is quite good if you can OTK somehow.
