Lotte Kopecky was a deserved world champion in 2023. Considering the second place in Australia, the green jersey in France and the winner of the tour of Flanders. She was worth it. Bravo

The UCI highlights packages have all been very poor. For cycling fans, there is just not enough of the race included. You just don't get any sense of the race. This applies across the board with all disciplines and races for 2023 World Champs

Great finale by Queen Demi, and powerful chase and pass on the final sprint to snatch silver from a gallant Cecile Uttrup Ludwig. Her season almost mirrors Annemieks all powerful season from last year. It's put her on GOAT mountain along with Annemiek Van Vleuten, Anna Van der breggen, and Marianne Vos. The Dutch ladies are simply untouchable. Shows what having bikes as a staple part of your country's culture can do in this sport.
It's the same with rugby here in New Zealand. Every Kiwi kid grows up immersed in it, even if they do other sports. There is a rugby team in every school, suburb and town in this country. It's equivalent to going to church for Kiwis. And everyone knows how to pass and kick a rugby ball. It's ingrained in us. That's why our national rugby team the All Blacks are the most successful professional sports team in history with an 85% kill rate. I'd wager to bet the Netherlands women's cycling team, has an equally impressive strike rate. It's just ingrained in them.

Deserved world champion. Lotte Kopecky's monster season, has been every bit as impressive as Demi Vollering's. Especially considering she was riding support for Demi half the time. To don the rainbow jersey, finish runner up at the Tour de France, and win numberous one day races is amazing.
Lotte was a revelation at the Tour de France. To unexpectedly grab silver after leading the tour for the majority, is almost as impressive as what Demi did. And her climbing performance up the mighty Toumalet and subsequent beastly time trial, signals to me that she will be switching teams in the very near future. Where will she go ?
Lotte Kopecky is a straight machine. She finished 2nd at the worlds last year and 4th at the Olympics. She will prove a formidable threat to Demi's throne I'd open the chequebook for her. Her and the american beast Chloe Dygert. Imagine they both moved to a new or smaller team together and built a superteam from the ground up. With Annemiek as the DS (and part time rider. Wishful thinking). Add in one of the young climbers like Ricarda Bauernfeind or Gaia Realini. Throw in a workhorse and powerful lead out like Phiefer Georgie. And pull the wallet out for a dependable top of the line veteran all rounder like Lizzy Deignan, and boom . You gotta superteam.

@@blueshunImagine Nike or one of the formula one manufacturers wanted to get into making bikes. This would be their team. If they flashed the money, it would be interesting to see what kind of men's teams they could have. Nike, Ferrari or Redbull take the cycling world by storm...
I'd start with the dutch monster Mathieu.

it only took UCI 24hrs to put together a laughable video
instead of taking the opportunity to really promote the sport, and then they whine that there's no support......
