British folklore is unique in recording a history of werewolf hauntings in places in Britain where there were once wolves. This exploration of Old Stinker, the Hull Werewolf is rooted in landscape and absence. It focuses on the climate in which the spectre of the werewolf has re-emerged (rising from the ashes of the flesh and blood wolf). It takes its inspiration from Mark Fisher’s The Weird and the Eerie (2016).
Dr Sam George is Senior Lecturer in Literature and Convener of the Open Graves, Open Minds research project at the University of Hertfordshire.

[This talk was filmed at Conway Hall, London, in 2019]
Conway Hall hosts a wide variety of talks, concerts, exhibitions, courses, performances, community and social events. It is also renowned as a hub for free speech and independent thought, hosting suffragettes, political radicals, scientists, philosophers, artists, performers; campaign, charities and other non-profit organisations.
I think it may be better to talk with people face to face who claim to have seen these things rather than stand at a lectern theorising.
Dogman is real, I wish they would stop rabbiting on about werewolves.
No one changes from a man to a wolf.
Werewolves exist, but they aren't what hollywood claims. They are born like people & Dogmen, but they do exist. They don't die to silver bullets, and don't change under a full moon. That cliche garbage needs to stop. They also aren't people who painfully change into Werewolves. I agree with your sentiments.
The story came to see the light of day 1 year before the city of culture for Hull . Coincidence or convenient
Dogs, wolves, coyotes and humans demonically possessed, their captured broken bodies warped transformed into rabid evil lurking humanoid monsters, prowling around enraged, sinister homicidal intentions, weredogs, werewolves, werecoyotes and werehumans, faith crushing possibilities.
"intent" is the word
Iam reminded of the peoples whom are covered in hair. Circus acts Barnam. Scientific name for it..excessive hair growth. DNA issue?
American we'rewolf in York not London........ Makes a mint film 📼...?
Its about that.
"Bestial ferocity, strength, cunning, speed regarded as abnormal. That describes Tigers more than wolves that are nothing more than doggies.
"nothing more than doggies."
tell this to the many victims of wolf attacks, especially the children...
Your view of wolves is romanticized and disconnected from reality.
Tell that to the boy mauled to death in Kentucky
@@AimeeAimee444 He was obviously too weak to live.
Quasi intellectual claptrap from a woman whose feet have clearly never ventured far from concrete or tarmac. Stay in the city, m'dear. I sincerely hope that you never see one of these things.
Bhahaha! U win best comment 😂 Lol
Agreed Dave.
Since you didn't get your affirmation in your personal belief (seemingly along the lines of "werewolves are real monsters, magic and curses are real!"), you share with us your empty claptrap, why don't you produce actual evidence of the existence of werewolves instead? if it so so obvious that they are real...out there, far from the city... ;-)
Booooorig.
