I has became a fan of Wang Chuqin since 2022. He is absolutely a legend player. I am impressed by his powerful aura in the game, supported by his spirit of persistence and perseverance. I am at the similar age with him, but he is way mature. Hope he can become stronger, and achieve his goal in Grand Slam Champion and Olympics, not 2024 in Paris maybe but definitely in the future!

Love this type of video. Fans can learn a lot of their favorite players. I also predicted a while ago that Wang would become the top player in a few years. He is now in par or slightly below Fan. As Fan slowly will slowly decline, Wang will take his position. Wang's best strength is his stable high quality shots production from both wings. He is lanky and moves well with strong mental attitude. Didn't know he is an introvert type. An introvert usually has strong drive towards goal.

I wonder how he looks back on a pivotal point after match against Zhao Zihao in Austria that ended in his suspension from team and loosing the chance to go to World Finals. He really matured after that situation and it feels like it was the final cut on the rough diamond. From then on it was only about getting more experience and natural physical progression as an athlete. A great video and insight into one of the top players nonetheless.
Wang Chuqin is the defending champion. He won WTT Finals last year. He is the number one favorite to win the upcoming WTT Finals, followed by Lin Yun-Ju at number 2, Fan Zhendong at number 3 and Ma Long at number 4. Just my opinion.
The English translation doesn’t fully capture the respect he has for Ma Long. He refers to Ma Long as “Older Brother”, which is a more endearing term and shows the mentor/mentee relationship

Wang Chuqin’s ranking and results were much better than Ma Long over the past 2 years, plus Ma Long lost all head to head games to him in 2023, actually since the 2nd half year of 2022. Ma Long is probably on team player but as to single, it is not possible unless Wang Chuqin is sick.
@sherryz22 for China the head to head with other chienese means nothing, what matters is the win rate against foreigners, especially in the Olympics, in that ma long is still the best, and he also has a lot of experience. Maybe they will choose Wang anyway, but it is not a given by no mean
