I recently read Horrorstör and instantly became attached to the authors work. I'm just starting My Best Friends Exorcism and I really can't wait to see how it turns out! Hendrix really deserves more recognition

Great video, Krystle. I own Paperbacks From Hell, Horrorstor (I agree, it has the best cover ever) and Satanic Panic. I love that movie (🎶In Australia...🎶😂). I ordered My Best Friend’s Exorcism and We Sold Our Souls. I was on the fence about Southern Book Club but you convinced me to give it a try. You got a new subscriber 😃
Im Interested in his new book “The final girls support group” I liked “We sold our souls” but the ending was a little underwhelming and I was turned off by the southern vampire slayer premise. I like Horrotor and Amy the main character was well done. I like Grady in interviews a lot he blabbers on about interesting stuff Im just indifferent to some of his books
It has a wonderful opening scene and a good climax along with a touching last chapter BUT the MIDDLE of the book DRAGS ....characters seem to act odd under the circumstances they are in and I know the parents were suppose to be awful but I wanted SOME relief from Abby's mother at some point. Overall. its a mixed bag for me.

I LOVE Grady Hendrix because he's unafraid to incorporate humor into his horror, which I think makes the writing so much richer!
