Girl I hope you gave the woman in the 1star place a tip more than £5!!!! It's sooooo much harder to match a nail that was already done by someone else with different skill, different tools, different colours, no preparation etc!! She did soooo well. As a nail tech, the difference I look at is the shaping, the expensive salon have much better shaping! I don’t think the cheap salon did an awful job but when comparing obviously the other salon won 🥇
The 1 star place did a good job… If u show two techs a design they will never be exact. There’s different techs. I don’t think the 5 star place was CLEARLY better just off the work. Love the idea of the video. I just think if you took away the 1 star rating you wouldn’t have talked down on them so bad just focusing on the nails the cleanliness could’ve been better 100%

she actually didn't do a bad job at all, the tips were done thin compared to 5* place. we're comparing it to Chi but realistically for the price difference i'd say the 1* is excellent AND SHE DIDNT EVEN HAVE PROPER TOOLS SOOo

They put the hot water in a bowl under tge acetone bowl because it warms the acetone which speeds up the removal of acrylic, however it should not have been boiling and uncomfortable. Also, yes the acetone dries out your hands and strips it of oils, however it is not damaging in any way and is only temporary. In fact, having your nails stripped of oils helps with adhesion of the acrylic to limit lifting.

Omg she wiped uv gel polish off with her NAKED FINGER! this is how you develop really really bad allergies to nail products! Getting uncured gel polish on your skin enters your blood stream! The molecules are small enough to absorb straight away. She's going to end up with such extreme allergies she'll never be able to enter a nail salon again, let alone work in one.

i feel like traumatic was a strong word the 1* don’t look bad at all and it seemed like quite an average salon experience to me, obvs the hygiene could have been better, but not many people have £80 to spend on nails that really only look a little better than the cheaper ones. i thought the acetone and male tech was common practice. but i am only speaking from my experience so could be wrong lol

Hey I used to have eczema too and what triggered it was the things I was allergic to so u should check what ur allergic to. Also go to a private clinic and they will give u cream that actually works(when I used to go to the gp they would keep prescribing the same creams that never work)
I went to get my nails done and I was there for 3 hours for both of my hands and they were actually really nice, they did ruin my nails but that’s because I have a habit of biting my nails. Thinking you spent 2 hours for 1 hand is crazy!!
Try protecting your skin with layers of moisturiser twice a day: e.g. E45, sunscreen and vitamin e cream. Go one step beyond by taking zinc, vit d, fish oil. It will take a long time but it will get better if you’re consistent. Oh dear… I want to adopt you as my daughter 😂
The dry skin can be because if air con and heating and if you’ve been in your house with heating on high and then changed climate it can flare it up xx

I feel like I’m seeing a lot of people saying the one star is good and that the five star just had a better skill set so it was “unfair to judge”… the one star didn’t look good. The shape was bulky and designs were smooshed way to the top. And as far as skill set…one star isn’t gonna have the initiative to gain that skill set if they’re being told they’re good when they’re not.

They put the hot water in a bowl under tge acetone bowl because it warms the acetone which speeds up the removal of acrylic, however it should not have been boiling and uncomfortable. Also, yes the acetone dries out your hands and strips it of oils, however it is not damaging in any way and is only temporary. In fact, having your nails stripped of oils helps with adhesion of the acrylic to limit lifting.

Omg she wiped uv gel polish off with her NAKED FINGER! this is how you develop really really bad allergies to nail products! Getting uncured gel polish on your skin enters your blood stream! The molecules are small enough to absorb straight away. She's going to end up with such extreme allergies she'll never be able to enter a nail salon again, let alone work in one.

i feel like traumatic was a strong word the 1* don’t look bad at all and it seemed like quite an average salon experience to me, obvs the hygiene could have been better, but not many people have £80 to spend on nails that really only look a little better than the cheaper ones. i thought the acetone and male tech was common practice. but i am only speaking from my experience so could be wrong lol
I like the expensive one better lol but they are so expensive so if I was me that wanted nails I would go to the cheaper place because I would save my money BUT I like the expensive more

Hey I used to have eczema too and what triggered it was the things I was allergic to so u should check what ur allergic to. Also go to a private clinic and they will give u cream that actually works(when I used to go to the gp they would keep prescribing the same creams that never work)

I went to get my nails done and I was there for 3 hours for both of my hands and they were actually really nice, they did ruin my nails but that’s because I have a habit of biting my nails. Thinking you spent 2 hours for 1 hand is crazy!!

Try protecting your skin with layers of moisturiser twice a day: e.g. E45, sunscreen and vitamin e cream. Go one step beyond by taking zinc, vit d, fish oil. It will take a long time but it will get better if you’re consistent. Oh dear… I want to adopt you as my daughter 😂

I feel like I’m seeing a lot of people saying the one star is good and that the five star just had a better skill set so it was “unfair to judge”… the one star didn’t look good. The shape was bulky and designs were smooshed way to the top. And as far as skill set…one star isn’t gonna have the initiative to gain that skill set if they’re being told they’re good when they’re not.
