Nino always said he did not want to be like his father, without realizing he already was
Nino’s ego is so fragile he cannot take Lila superiority on anything
Italians can really make any scene to intense romantic drama. Beautiful.
It's as if Nino was an amalgamation of the worst boyfriends/husbands/lovers that Ferrante ever encountered in her entire life. He never loved anyone but himself. Lenu should have known when she saw him with the teacher's daughter before any of these events even took place. That spoke volumes about the kind of person he always was even as a young boy.
Yes, and what's sad is that she saw even more, she saw his son with silvia that he completly forgot or didn't even know he existed, just like lila's son who was allegedly his son, and she understood very well the kind of man he was..., and yet, it's like she was more interested to get what her younger self wanted, than to look for a healthy relationship

I can't see pietro as à bad husband, he had his Flows, and like men of that time he was à little bit misogyn, but never an obstacle to her... He had the same kind of personnality issues than her, too shy, too serious, but she was so obessessed with Nino that she couldn't even see that, and never tried to understand him...

So many guys in this show have done something that has warranted a slap in the face, but Nino's the only one I'd feel safe doing it to.
Nothing's ever his fault is it? As far as he's concerned. And you think he'll respect your intelligence and will help you learn about the bigger world that you want to learn about, and he's willing to let you think that when you want to talk to him about literature or politics. But as soon as you show any sign of being better than him or more intelligent than him, then all of a sudden he turns into a small child - rude, sullen, sulky, self-obsessed, insolent, petty.

Nino is privileged arrogant and nothing could excuse his behavior towards lila and leno, but lila is different she was struggling and fighting all the time, her relationship with nino was the first time we see her happy and she sacrificed alot for this relationship but nino didn’t admit that and he simply left and didn’t fight back to come back to her. I don’t blame lila for her behavior at all, it’s a sign of strength at a world that took everything away from her.

Lenu feels often not that important as lila. But what lenu does uderstand until now is that: your arent always happier wen you give in on every unpulse that you have like lila does. Wen you give in to every impulse you will havent much to dream about anymore in life. End you wil discover soon that alot of dream that you have are empty like the love of nino how left lila after all. You will lose your confedense not all the dreams that you have, you need to live treu. Some dreams mend to be dreams and stay dream. Wen you can control you impulses you will have more dreams left a positief thinking. And lose no people arround you. A person needs to have dreams for positive thoughts about the future. I think that lila will and up more unhappy and al ready is than lenu.
Nino come back in her life she always love him since they were child... Lenu don t love Pietro... She try to follow her dreams with the ONLY MAN SHE REALLY HAVE LOVED... IN THIS TV SHOW THE ACTORS WHO PLAY LENU AND NINO HAVE AN INCREDIBLE QUEMESTRY... THE ACTRESS WHO PLAY LILA IS COLD IN LOVE SCENES NO PASSION BETWEEN NINO AND LILA... AT ALL
This couple have no quemestry at all like in the book I feel more passion between Lenu and Nino in all theyr scene specially latest love scenes.... THEY ARE REALLY HOT... I think that Marghetita Mazzucco and Francesco Serpico have an incredible feeling

I assume they are talking about the person assumed to be Elena Ferrante, the author of the books (her identity is not confirmed), Anita Raja, and her husband, Domenico Starnone. Some people think they wrote the books together, especially since Domenico is from Naples. He might be a model for Nino, but if he is it’s not a very flattering one!

Lila's never had anything, she's always wanted what's out of reach and it's always been denied her. And Nino is a narcissist - he knows his father is but he doesn't recognise his father in him
for the same reason he was rude to Lenu at Lila and Stefano's wedding - he's no good at competition and hates it when someone's better than him or more intelligent than him. Think it was a coincidence that the article Lenu wrote and Lina edited didn't even appear in the magazine after he commented that the teacher was right, and the Lenu does write better than him? Now people are more interested in Lila than in him or pay more attention to her than to him and suddenly she's 'ruining him' even though she left an abusive marriage for him.

They could have been an amazing couple but he turned out to be human garbage. Rafaela got on it very quickly. It was hard for him to contain her genius and she saw exactly what type he was like she saw the face of the neighborhood. Then he tried to slander her in every way just because she rejected him and he wanted her. Unfortunately, he was the first man she really loved.
