Doc you're delivering the content i didn't know i needed. Was checking the all pro nitro on footlocker and saw these being waaaaay higher than other ones and i thought it was pricing mistake. I thought to myself, surely the colourway don't make them worth that price... i'm about to find out from you!
so turns out they aren't worth it to the average guy. thought that if i paid $250 it will take my 5/10 game to 6/10 but i don't think it will do that. Maybe the next $400 ones will!
Jeremy Sallee designed Puma Hoops shoes are some of my favorites to play in. The textile builds stand up to abuse, the padding often makes the fit feel 1 to 1 on me, and sometimes the cushioning combos are perfect for my style.
Thanks, doc! The Kobe 9 comparison might justify the price, but because of the same lateral traction issue (I plant hard off two feet to jump) I'm gonna pass this time. Big fan of the regular All Pro Nitro, have two pairs.
You can pick any brand you want and find a player with ankle injuries. Did you stop wearing all nikes early on in curry's career when his wouldn't stay right? Goofy take.
@@Jim-Halp1234 goofy take? nah, i own the Puma Melo 2's and they sit high and don't feel stable at all. i sold them immediately after two games. i own all kinds of brands so it isn't brand specific. I haven't worn a Puma shoe that IS stable. maybe you have, but i haven't bc i'm goofy. Curry's issues was his ankles themselves. LaMelo is his shoes AND his goofy footwork/biomechanics. Goofy out.
I don't understand companies that don't do enough testing on their products. The grip is one of the primary factors. If I was running Puma, I'd make sure I'm testing with different outsoles with different players in diff play styles in both dusty and really good courts.
Hi Doctor Zach, I have a request. Could you please make a video discussing the impact of fashion shoes, like the Jordan 1 Low or Samba, on people's feet? Many people, including myself, wear these types of shoes for style and everyday walking. However, I'd like to know what steps or actions I can take to protect my feet when wearing these shoes. Thanks
I wanted it to help with the bounce test, i.e. more shock absorption and jump power, but the bounce is not good... I hope the next version will be around 45-50.
I wonder why Puma moved to a drop in style shoe when the TRC Blazers court and the Nitro Rise were so good. These and the new Stewie seems like regression for the brand.
tbh, the shoe will get heavily discounted in the future. At 250$, it's an ok shoe. Once it goes on sale for 100-150$, we are talking about god tier performance for the price
Question: what’s the reason you can’t put an orthotic on top of a drop in? I’ve tried my orthotics in my Kobe 9 elites as just a try on and it feels comfortable with no heel slippage. Never tried a drop in due to my orthotics (high arches with 1st metatarsal head pain that gets deep blisters without my orthotics) would a drop-in midsole be worth a try with no orthotics or should I avoid them as a whole?
Can u review the puma magmax nitro? I heard its one of the most comfy running shoes. Or the puma fast, one of the craziest looking shoes dat people say is their best runner
Me gustaría te tomaras el tiempo de revisar la MB.03 Low de puma, es de caña baja y me da cierta desconfianza al de por sí mal hablada estabilidad del tenis de caña media alta.
hey doc could u review some volleyball shoes as well? i feel like there isnt a lot of coverage on anything other than asics shoes and the vb community is getting pretty big
Definitely not a $250 shoe. The Nike Foamposite One was considered years ahead of its time, and those too were outrageous at $180 in 1997. I look at the Nitro Elite and basically see the All-Pro Nitro with a flimsy carbon shank inside. With an original MSRP for the All-Pro Nitro around $130, I think the Elite has a more realistic price tag around $150-160.
$250 for a non-Stock X or Flight or GOAT shoe is a little much....people pay this for shoes that are hard to find AND are great...that slippage on the floor is a go-to move for 90% of basketball players
Don‘t take this wrong way but how can you evaluate the performance of a basketball shoe when your movement is not really athletic. This review, judging from your gameplay footage in the gym, is made for amateur players who go outside to shoot some threes or play slow paced pickup games. Maybe have someone with a more athletic playstyle help you on the testing of the shoe so you can have their opinion too. How the shoe performs in a real league game / semipro or pro environment. Your footwork is not comparable to someone like that so the conclusions you draw will also probably not be the same. I don‘t own this shoe or try to defend puma or whatever, but I‘m just wondering if you could include a second opinion on how the shoe feels from someone with a different playstyle. It would make your videos more valuable for that type of audience. Your technical analysis of the shoe and the components is really good though !
But why they make an "elite" shoes with a drop in midsole ?? 90% of the elite players need to wear orthopedic sole. And when you remove the drop in midsole to replace it with your orthopedic sole... what do you have left ?? NOTHING !!!
Check out my new sport and recovery slide! : geni.us/fdzslide
Yes 😊
I like anta better cus antas comfortably soft on foot😊

The streets have been waiting for this review.

Glad I can help

Now like the video and subscribe so doc can get his money back because this shoe is 250$!
I still love my non elite
Haha
@@FootDoctorZach puma has a 20% off employee for medical personnel through ID me. You should've been able to get these for 200 with the discount.
Sounds like a $250 co-pay at Urgent Care due to the grip. I’m good Puma. Until Lamelo is 100% healthy for just one szn, then I’ll come back.
Good thing Lamelo isn’t gonna play in these😂 I’ll wait to see what Halliburton plays in before I think about the purchase
@@Thatkidwallyhe’s been playing in the all pro nitro

Your point about footwork is why kobe shoes and kyrie shoes are different and reflected how both player types move and dribble on the court
Can you do the serious player only ranger 1…it’s an interesting shoe and have crazy potential.

5:40 “In West Philadelphia born and raised” 😂
the new studio somehow makes zach look 10 years younger in vibes. nice!
Now if I was actually 10 yrs younger I’d really have something
The Way of Wade 808 3 ultra v2 are $150, and it seemed the ultras were far more breathable and bouncier. Hard to justify 250 on these.
I own a pair of them they’re are incredible
I have those, they are not as breathable as you think too lol
@@CybertroninfiniteOfficial what do you suggest ?
@@rxplaced5095 the ones Wade uses are the WoWs 10-11-12 , etc. they're pretty great

And performance...? Not "Elite" at all...
Yeah they look slick for sure
No way you're flashing the AG5, i need the review before i import 😭
I hope Puma could make a version 2.0 of the TRC Blaze Court 😎
traction's color (and maybe materials) is something like Jordan Zion 2s Purple Crimson.

For that $ amount, I would like to see a vs with Li-Ning Gamma, WOW 11, Li-Ning Yushuai 18 Hi/Lo and Li-Ning JB2.
$250 damn that's insulting
It's a pro level shoe, what's insulting?
Can't wait for an AG5 review!
Looking forward to that AG5 review!

puma really setting prices by the tech in the shoe rather than actual performance and build.

It's like putting 2 orthotics in your shoe... your drop-in is your orthotic
That fall was pure comedy!
These are $350 in Australia. Def wait for the sales
in your opinion which is better
converse trilliant cx or the all pro nitro?
Hi Zach, hopefully you can review the way of wade shadow 6

Whats the benefit you think this elite is better? the carbon plate is not working as the other? I will get one as they "on sale" then.
When you say hair long, what exactly does that mean?
yeah… 90 at best - was excited for the tech of this shoe but i guess the execution of it didn’t turn out well :/

250 for any shoe is crazy
What did you think of the tongue texture? That was my first time experiencing something like that
It was cool- nothing earth shattering but I liked these padding
@@FootDoctorZach I feel like it would be a cool feature to have in the heel of the shoe to prevent heel slip
So they're good for players that supinate
These are $50 more than Way of Wade 10, let that sink in 😂 Puma thinks we’re fools
Wow it really sucks that the traction on the court can just let you slip out. Sucks because the shoe actually seems really cool otherwise
Yep and the traction is fine as long as you keep foot flat
My two goats (weartesters & Zach) have different traction opinions on these what do I do 😭
Also remember he probably has much more tuned and consistent footwork than I do

I see kids slipping and sliding in Puma all the time. They just like the loud colors and popular team shoes.
I’m not spending 250$ on most shoes let alone a puma shoe!
Zach why haven’t you done the AR Battle 2s you loved the Ar 1s
Because I'm one person and can only do one video at a time - tryin my best here
This seems like a lot of compromises for $250
