Had dreadlocks in the past that were not free form then a shaved head and have been growing my hair the past 8 months. Starting mine today. By starting I mean not doing a thang besides washing and letting hair air dry. Got my silk pillow and about to pass out. Love your dreadlocks and vibe. Live long and prosper to you too haha
You and Connor inspired me to take the step to start the freeform process. One month now and it feels good and relaxed :) I check here sometimes because I wonder how will my hair look in future. Thanks.

I have similar hair type, Had them freeformed 1,5 years or so. Back is good, similar but bangs(front) has not dreadded at all. Any ideas how to make them dread? Maybe the problem is that I sleep on my back when most dreadding is occuring.
Also Im proffessional gamer, maybe wearing headset 6-8 hours a day loosens up tangles in the the front?
I'd definitely say the front takes the most forming. Simply cz I found that that was wear new hair kept on forming. It does eventually form. Just takes a little more time make sure you separate them so they can form in there little knotty paths that way not too many clump together
Your dreads are slowly forming
did you use the rub method? thats what I’ve been doing (1 month in) and I’m wondering if I should be separating and guiding how they form because right now the majority of mine are growing in chunks. also should I separate ones forming on top of my head right in the middle where my hair would part?
You must be from the same place as Michael Bisping cuz y’all got very similar accents. Very distinct from other accents

why separating?
I just preferred to separate to make my dreads grow a little more comfortably. I dont go crazy just a few clumps here and there
What's your job? And how do you "hide" your dreads? In my job i have to do a lot a customer service and its a little bit difficult because i hide my hair with beanies and my bosses are like "Why do you wear that? You look dirty" and me it's like... "Oh man what i gonna do!!!" And yeh... xD i guess that its part of the journey, anyway good video and peace :3
So im a construction worker. But fortunelty i work for myself. But i work at peoples houses and for customers all the time. So when i turn up to jobs and stuff sometimes the customers are like shocked or taken back ect. So what i choose to do is be proud of my hair. It shows to me my inner strength, i love my dreads and any comments or judgement that gets passed makes me realise how strong i am. In your situation i would seriously consider what level you and your boss are on. When i first started my journey i was actaully working for somebody else. So what i did was tell them with CONFIDENCE!!! dont hesitate this is your life your choice and your hair. We are all human with the freedom of our choice. Dont allow comments that your dirty and strange. What did people in the punk days. Or in the 60s. Any one who is offended or put off by dreads need to learn more acceptance

Shouldn’t matter what your job is man. If they aren’t accepting you and your dreads then they don’t deserve you man
Wear them out, the more people proudly wear them the more normal and accepted they become. Piercings and tats have become so much more acceptable at work these days so don't change what you are
