Me and Scotty had £650+ out of one of these Program 1's back in the day in Bournemouth Rileys Club lol, luckily I knew the manager so no issues with getting paid, they would do back to back Jackpots sometimes if you knocked back the flash, the one we played went completely Off the Hook, Happy Days!!! 😃
Once you have enough nudges for the big 4 of a kind win setup it's probably better to use your shots first to get the Nearest Win feature as P1's would only consider the current physical position of the reels and not what you could do with the nudges available so take the shots first to get the feature active then nudge the correct reel set up in afterwards . . . You could also go for the full Jackpot off Nearest Win after the flash on P1's as well as that £150 yellow bars win. Ocasionally after knocking back a flash and then deliberately losing a gamble on the £150 win (if you were lucky enough to have it roll in that is) then taking the first £250 Jackpot this game could actually set you up on a board when exchanging in off the ladder gamble with another Jackpot already available straight off of the provided board entry nudges lol. It could also just roll in all four Jackpot symbols in normal play on the bottom reels too, So Great Game! 😃
I played a P1 from a RAM clear, and deliberately took nothing. It started flashing after around £380 in, and did the slow roll for jackpot after exactly £540. Regarding taking KOs before nudging, I do tend to do that anyway, although it doesn't tend to matter. The reason why it tends to give it later, is becasue Nearest Win is one of the higher value features on Zone 3. It's a bit like when you're playing £15 Psycho, when you're on Zone 4, it nearly always leaves Reel Magic until the end, even if you don't have a Jackpot in view. Club versions don't block Nearest Win as such, they don't have any programming inbuilt to do so, as they didn't expect a win over £50 to be available. I think they just valued it as a roughly £25 feature, and treated it as such.
one of the very best in my opinion, loved playing this! My favourite for me though, was Bank Raid. I could clean out this machine every time. I got barred from places as I knew a cheat on this machine. 10p play, £10 jack, I took £180 out on Blackpool pier in 2001 and got barred for being "a local", even though I come from Northern Ireland! lol
@@JamesHardyFruitMachines there are many machines that came under the name Bank Raid..... the one I'm talking about was the one which featured the Cameras on the feature board, and when you won the Jackpot, the guy said "We've cracked it boys", before playing the music. I think You know which one I mean. Anyway, Yes, it involved the barcode feature, which wasn't a "secret" in any means to the average player. However, there was something about when You got nudges, which gave You the feature, and everyone hit "exchange" or simply nudged down the feature symbols, to play the feature.........but....... instead You nudged for the barcode feature (not the board feature). When You got the barcode feature, you typed the sequence 2-3-1 (middle-right-left, hold buttons), which was "cash belt" or "money belt". In this feature sums of money went across the screen, with stars (which multiplied the wins, which everyone knew about, and if You held the cancel/collect button, it slowed it down sometimes). well, with the cheat of the nudges, the cash belt showed the jackpot amount, along with stars (multipliers), so technically You could get a X3 multiplier on the Jackpot! Obviously better than playing the feature board and hoping for just the jackpot! Unfortunately, not having played in almost 20 years, I cannot fully remember the technical details step by step, but it is something like as I have said above! What an awesome machine though (for the punter)! 😂
@@JamesHardyFruitMachines It was a trick to do with the barcode, yes. It allowed You to get the jackpot on the "cash belt" feature, but X3! had one of these for a few years. take your shots first as with this early rom it cannot see the 4 of a kind win. knock back the big 4 of a kind win (typically £150) and go for the jackpot, then the 12spins (which will pay a jackpot assuming you knocked back the £150) and finally go for a £50 current pot. thats a £550 run on a chipped or unchipped machine.
