Bought the kit & converted my compressor. Tried it out to confirm every thing worked. Only ran for a min but compressor sounds like it needs more power.
It worked great on my 2020 dodge ram 1500. We just bought a 2022 F-250 and when you plug it in and the truck sees it as some kind of fault. I reached out to my contact VIAIR to see if he has heard anything about our issues.
@@fulltimethrivenadventures2686 tried mine on ‘25 wrangler. Had Anderson connector on last jeep. If that ran at a 10, the sae connection sounds like it’s running at a 3. Just don’t seem to be getting the power needed
Awesome video and idea! I've always disliked having to connect my Viair to the truck battery. being able to use the 7 pin plug will be so much better. I assume you have to keep the truck running to get power to the Viair using that method?
Great video! Can you either let me know the length and brand of the 10 gauge extension or update the link in your notes? The link for the extension is the same as the 7 pin connector. Also was it 12 gauge solder connectors you used to connect? Are they still holding strong?

No. The VIair will work with the truck off. Sooooo much easier!
@@fulltimethrivenadventures2686 That's even better! Thank you!

Thank you for pointing that out. The link has been changed. I used the Yellow 12-10 connectors. Everything is holding.
Personally, I would just put gator clips on the 7 pin and not change my viair from factory. Especially for warranty.
Viair sent me the instruction and what parts to get to do the conversion.
