How to Freely Resize Images in Canva (Unlock Element Aspect Ratio)
Greetings, in this Canva tutorial we shall be looking at how to resize images without being restricted to an aspect ratio. This tutorial is perfect for those who want to stretch their image in Canva.
Firstly make sure you have your image selected, then click on edit image. Then you need to click on the crop button. Then change the aspect ratio to freeform. This is essential to freely resizing an image in Canva.
Then you need to crop your image, it can be any size, just make sure the 4 crop corners are not ontop of the circle corner icons. Then you need to hold the shift key and drag the 4 circles to whatever size you want your image in Canva to be. After that you can click on the done button.
Lastly you need to resize your image to your desired new size. Make sure you have your image selected, then just drag the 4 rounded rectangle icons that are on the perimeter of your image out until you can see your entire image again.
Congratulations, you have freely resized your image in Canva without loosing or cropping any parts off. This is thanks to selecting a freeform aspect ratio. This allows you to stretch an image or stretch an element in Canva.
