- I’m back.
My big mouth
Stand By Me
My sister
Angel child
Dyou know what I mean
The Hindu times
Little by little
Carry Us All
Falling down
Gas panic
Waiting for the rapture
Let’s all make believe
Cigarettes in hell
The nature of reality
Guess god thinks I’m Abel
Here’s some more:
‘Heaven won’t help me’ - part of the queue
‘Keep praying that the lord won’t slow me down’ - lord don’t slow me down
‘If god gives me grace, then he will find me a space…’ - don’t stop
Oasis é a maior e melhor banda do planeta, aqui no Brazil , na Índia , no mundo todo eles são considerado tão grandes e bons quanto aos Beatles... (Eu acho Oasis bem melhores) Noel is God!!! #OasisForever
Also the entirety of "dig out your soul"
Even if Liam and Noel don’t believe in God or a high power in itself, at all, they’ve never disrespected people who do. I think that’s beautiful, it's all about respect.
Yet they disrespect anyone and everyone else? What a silly comment
In D'You Know What I Mean, his "maker" isn't God, it's his alcohol abusive dad. The whole song is a reflection on his neglected childhood compared to where he is now. James Hargreaves did some great analysis on these lyrics.
It could be his father or else satan
Yeah. And he stretched. Of course it's not his dad it's just a "fan theory" and only that fan came up with that.
God is hard to see because we live in a fallen world in which Satan has a lot of power. With open eyes and an open mind, it's hard to ignore evil-- but if you manage to open your heart to faith in Jesus, you'll begin to feel the presence of salvation and atonement.
another one of my favorite song lyrics of all time is “some might say they don’t believe in heaven / go and tell it to the man who lives in hell”
Yeah that’s an amazing line
Also, when Liam is interviewed in New York 2000 and says he's godlike and he's feeling godlike 😂😂
Yeah 😂
Noel and liam were raised catholic but their mom left the church after leaving their dad. All Noel needs of proof of God is his own life. Went from rags to Riches. And that old guitar just lying in the corner by chance? No way
The Sun in the sky never raised an eye to meeeeee (credit to James Hargreaves actually showing me what that song was about)
James also thinks that Noel’s ‘maker’ is his father in that instance, which makes sense given the other lyrics
@@gunn63 yeah that video is really great. I just couldn’t ignore the first thing that comes to mind from that line here though
Here is our Savior
YaH The Heavenly FATHER HIMSELF was Who they Crucified for our sins, NOT jesus, and “HERE IS THE PROOF”
From the Ancient Semitic Scroll:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moses wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)
Ancient Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
Great work. Maybe he should've asked him if he believes in the Devil
They dont believe in God now, but one day they will all be on their knees and bow down to the Lord & King!
Oasis music can bring you to God.
Another one is: When the rapture takes me, be the fallen angel by my side - The turning
Great video, always found cool the way Noel makes those biblical references
Liams vocals on that one 🤩
@@fakestradio4741 that whole album is awesome! I always found interesting their relationship with each other and with religion, like in the supersonic documentary there’s a very old tape of a rehearsal where liam is telling the rest of the band about Cain and Abel in the Bible and then years later he wrote ‘guess god thinks I’m Abel’ and there’s a interview where he said this song was about Noel so is like he sees himself as Abel and the dynamic between him and Noel always had this rivalry but at the same time you can see they admire each other so much.
I also saw a theory about the songs they wrote in oasis and in their solo stuff being all about each other and the more time passes the more I believe it’s true, like it seems they talk to each other in the songs if you pay very close attention!
@@sadgirl6873 yeah agreed! And Supersonic is just such an amazing film
If I may suggest an interpretation beyond what Noel said, or at least an angle of interpretation : I think the two brothers were raised in a very catholic environment that felt left out during the Thatcher era. They definitely bear this in their songs I believe
Well Liam has said he goes to church regularly a funny story happened about three years ago or so where nearly got excommunicated for smoking in church
Never knew that! And that’s hilarious 😂
That Jools Holland Gas Panic video on here looks crystal clear, I’m only used to the one on UA-cam that isn’t the best quality in the world, but it’s one of my favourite Oasis performances ever
Yeah it looks beautiful
That boys like me are conflicted Catholics. I don't blame em.
I believe too.
A tune many even havnt heard ?or shall I say misunderstood!!!! Lord don’t slow me down!!!!absolute belter ❤
Don't forget "God Help Us All"
"Don't pray for me, if I'm not here when you return"
Also "Lord Don't Slow Me Down"
"Full On" mentions "I'm like the angel on the A train" not sure if that counts..
Yeah it definitely counts!
Where are the top two from?
@@fakestradio4741 There's a HFB demo called God Help Us All, where the "Don't pray for me" comes from :)
Now I remember liam is also dressed as a priest in the shine a light video by beady eye, he’s so cute lol
Yeah I forgot about that. You only get to see him for a tiny bit I think? Wish we got more of a look of it
Fantastic stuff ,love these 👌👌❤️
I Have to Admit, This Video is the Best Ever and I Go Back to It So Many Times You Know.
And It Makes Me think That Oasis is not Just a Normal Band or Some Mega Band They're More than That, They're Like Everyone on this Earth, They're Speak for Them and Talk By Their Own Tongue, Especially in This One "Religious Theme" Although Nobody Noticed that But this video is a Gem
My Favorite Songs of It is "D'you What I Mean" Massive "Gas Panic" ofc Everyone's fav & "Let's All Make Believe" Such Biblical Celestial Approachable Tune, and Lastly "The Nature of Realty" Oh Man this song is The Mental Battle of Everyone in Their Everyday Lives
Thanks a lot mate. Nice to see that it speaks to you, even though it’s one of my less popular videos

I’ve done it now
@@fakestradio4741 hehe, okay :D
"If God real, why bad thing happen?"
Lol
I think that the God concept that they wrote/sang is a concept of God free from any religion. Agnostic thing you know? I'm there as well. Long live Oasis.
Yeah I think you’re definitely right. And me too
In case you haven’t seen James Hargreaves‘ video on their father (which you should):
The lyrics in D‘You Know What I Mean? (I met my maker, I made him cry…) might refer to their father rather than God
EDIT: the video I was referring to: ua-cam.com/video/Vzoc7VsUHAg/v-deo.html
Yeah they may very well, but I just thought I’d include it since it’s what everyone would assume if they heard it without seeing that video
Book of Liam (BOL) is real!
Noel isn't religious and I Don't blame him.
Most of these are saying that he doesn't believe in God
Not really. But I don’t think he believes in god in the traditional catholic sense that he was brought up on
God takes many forms and for Oasis I’m adamant that they don’t believe in any god and the terms ‘god, lord and maker’ all refer to members of family…read between the lines. Stop reading one, two or three terms and focus on the message.
Listen harder
Hello Fake !!! I I believe in God. you believe ???
I’m not really sure
@@fakestradio4741 why not ? could you explain me?
@@davidluqueskywalker527 sure man.
I wasn’t brought up religiously, I haven’t done much research into God or religion in general.
I’ve never seen any signs or had any experiences that have made me sure of God.
But I’m open to anything, I’m not so egotistical as to believe that I know how the world works or how we were created.
I’m definitely not an atheist. If I had to classify myself I would say I’m probably agnostic
@@fakestradio4741 thanks for your answer, religions are wrong, the religious are wrong... God is not to blame for what happens in the world. the human being deviates from what is correct and forges his destiny..
@@fakestradio4741 God is more than a religion. It is a relationship. I can tell you and give testimony of what He has done in my life, my family and that He has also granted the requests of my life
I think even when someone doesn’t believe in God they still have to acknowledge that the majority of people on this earth do in one way or another. It’s impossible to not see and hear it all around you so there for it becomes relevant in their music because music is their breath of life.
I've tried praying and I know just what you're saying to me in Slide Away
I’m such an amateur how did I forget this
I can see a liar
now i feel godlike
I think they are spiritual , and be spiritual people its not the same to be a religión people
Catholicism may be hard to understand for some Brits. You’ll never shake the prayers or the culture or the teachings even when you leave behind personal faith cause it’s so ingrained in you. Noel said he went to mass every Sunday for the first 14 years of his life. He even made a song referencing mother Mary.
