Personally if you haven’t mentioned the action button I wouldn’t remember it
You don’t remember the mute switch either though. It’s been useless since they added focus modes, and most people just turn the mute switch off and forget about it anyway.
Personally, I have the action button set to my shortcuts which include the following: setting a timer, Shazam, setting Pomodoro, mute switch toggle, opening the camera, accessing notes, and accessing the rest of my shortcuts with some pretty useful functions (telling me my charge time, speed charging mode, etc). Ever since I changed it to that it became useful for me.
i just use it for flashlight and use it all the time, other than that i would def forget

assigned a shortcut which changes what the press does depending on orientation
like mute when face down, auto rotate toggle in landscape, action menu in portrait ....

There is also software updates that were key to this phone. An iPhone today is the best webcam you can get. Continuity camera comes clutch if you have a lot of meetings for example. A high quality webcam with that quality would cost you at least 300 dolars.
I have used iphone 8, iphone SE 2, iphone 11, iphone 14. But 15 pro is the best form all of this. Already loving my new change! ❤

@@pasindudilanka3964 ok so the 15 pro you're using is not overheating when using like social(UA-cam, TikTok and Snapchat) and using it to play games like pubG? If not i think I'm going with the 15 pro instead of 16, I just wanna know of the "severely overhead" issue is fixed in iOS 18.

Apple's flagship product is stagnating in terms of improvability. They NEED to slow down on the iPhone releases.
One cool way you can use the action button if you have a Tesla is to set it to precondition the car before you depart through a shortcut. Super useful, especially if you are at the gym.
i'm surprised so few people use the action button. i found a siri shortcut that is set up really nice that allows for assigning 8 different apps to a little pop up window when you press it and i've gotten into the habit of using it every day for taking notes, tracking calories, journaling, etc.
i mean, i literally switched my mute switch to mute the second i got previous iphones and never touched it again, so to me this is a MUCH better and more useful addition. i feel like Apple just needs to make this mini app launcher a more accessible feature and it would get a lot more use. their approach of making it essentially a single use button was a little silly.

There's 3 reasons am staying with iPhone , first it's apps they are miles better optimised, looking etc on iPhones , second ecosystem specifically Apple Watch there's is nothing that even comes close to how much better the Apple Watch is and lastly it's one you wish you don't have to use but it's great that it's there customer service in the past I have used google and Samsung after care and it lacking very bad , I could forgive or be more lenient on them 2 if they were mid tier company's but they 2 of the biggest companies in the world , so as long as Apple can do these 3 things better than the rest Apple will make money of me no problem

I believe Apple has peaked in terms of design, and I wish they would accept it. They continuously squeeze in more transistors, and sandbag features to qualify new releases. It would make sense to release less often with more impact, but hey, consumerism.

I upgraded from an iPhone X to a 14 pro max and I was wondering why 3D Touch wasn’t working as that was a feature I used a lot while typing on my iPhone X. Just found out that they got rid of that feature lol but the cursor can still be moved so no complaints but I don’t like that I gave my iPhone’s screen unnecessary pressure lol.
I'm sticking with my pixel 8 pro.

Action button is great. I have mine set to launch different menu options depending on focus mode.
If you're not usong focus modes and ios worlflow shortcuts you're not getting the depth of integrated personalisation thatcoutateips even my android phones (though love the Sony 1vi woth it's insane battery life, 3.5mm headphone socket and SD card slot).

Phones have peaked in 2024. AOD, 120hz, USB-C were the only things iPhones needed after they brought back the squared edges with 12 series. Dynamic Island and other features released in between are just bonuses!

I want my first iphone to be the 16 pro max or the 15 pro max
Do you think it’s too late to get a 15 Pro (max) now? I have a 12 mini and i’m getting the itch to replace it. Nothing is wrong with it save for the multiple daily charging, but I just am drawn somehow to the 15 pro series. I’m not sure I can wait for September for the new iPhones. Should I suck it up and wait or will the 15 Pro Max still be great for years to come?
Got mine before 5 days and I am extremely happy with it. Upgraded from 13 Pro Max and the camera difference is HUGE. Also the type-C port is amazing benefit, I like the Dinamic Island, the Action Button I have program with Shortcuts to make 6 different tasks and it is just amazing. Also the screen is very bright in direct sunlight. Always On display is cool adition too! :) There are many good upgrades that are worth the upgrade so go ahead and don't wait for 4-5 months.
16 series will offer nothing new that the 15 series won't have, aside from the rumoured shutter button coming to the 16 series.

Same here but I've been loving the camera. The battery is pretty meh though so that's true but sadly I just can't deal with big phones like the S24 Ultra or Pro Max models.

@@Romeoforbes It's a bigger phone with a bigger capacity so that's expected. I've always owned smaller phones so I've never experienced phones with crazy battery life the Pro Max and the Ultras. I'm not trading off size for battery life though since my 15 Pro easily lasts me the entire day and I always carry a small and light 10k mah power bank, but yeah would've loved to have a better battery life because I went from the 13 to 15 Pro and there's no difference in battery life 😂
I am currently on a iPhone 12 and I've been thinking about upgrading for a month now because it's getting slow and I have to charge it three times a day. Should I get the 15 Pro (for around 1000€) or wait for the 16 Pro (~1200€)?
I used an iPhone 12 mini before and I just move to the 15 pro last weekend. It was worth it, but if u can still wait a little bit longer maybe u can go for the 16 pro. Like my 12 mini, I have problem with the charging port, I have to use a wireless charger all the time and I cant keep up with the hustle of using wireless charging and buying a wireless powerbank.
Why not change the battery

Oliur mentioned that he doesn't like big phones. I'm the same deal. I considered the S24 Ultra but I went with the 15 Pro because big phones are way too unwieldy.
