Marc Marquez rides the Ducati! MotoGP Test Reaction 🚨

- Well, the day has finally come. Marc Marquez rides the Ducati for the first time in Valencia & he didn't take long to get up to speed with the GP23 machine!
Marc Marquez’s reaction to his first laps on a Ducati MotoGP bike is sure to be one of the standout moments of the Valencia test. But it was after lunch that Marquez really put on a show as he went fastest with a low 1m 29s lap.
Marquez then improved further before Vinales, who was consistently fast, went back atop the leaderboard. Joan Mir was a constant presence around the top ten as well, while Johann Zarco enjoyed a decent showing aside from a slip off in the morning. The same for new Honda rider Luca Marini.
Providing a late charge was Brad Binder who moved up to second, but after setting another red sector to begin his next lap, the KTM rider then crashed at turn five after entering the corner slightly off-line.
Marco Bezzecchi had a strong test and finished as the top Ducati ahead of Marc Marquez. The same was also true for Raul Fernandez, who managed to rival Vinales for pace at different stages of the one-day test.
What did you think of Marc Marquez's debut on Ducati machinery? Let us know below.

Seen lots of footage from the test and didn’t see where Marc was ever pushing the Ducati or himself. Looked totally chill and well within the capabilities of both bike and rider. It’ll take a lot more laps for Marc to find the limits of the bike but when he does, he’ll definitely be in the mix for the championship next year.
I thought the same thing on his ride along replay of his fastest lap!
I'm watching it saying "He looks like he is on a track day training session"
Also him getting Frankie as a crew chief is INSANE!!!!!! He had Fabio flying at the end of the season.
We had to know his brother gave him the complete report on how to ride the Ducati!
Hell Marc very likely ALREADY rode the GP23 wearing his brothers leathers in total secret
As in Italian Fabio?
The other Fabio is not someone you would underestimate, not only he's managed to consistently crack top 10's on his dated ass Yamaha against them state of the art Ducatis machines most of the this season, this is also the exact same Fabio that managed to duke it out against Marc on his prime back in his rookie days
So cool to see some magic from Marc! He is 100% commitment. RESPECT!
Marc marquez whether like him or not. He is the greatest talent of this decade. Cant wait for him to smash the 2024.
Not decade but this century
I'd actually say of last decade (10s). Still think it's too early to say for this decade, although Pecco is leading with 2 championships and back to back, but they were both close calls. So hardly a definitive best of the decade.
Ask me in 2030 who was the best of the decade and I might be able to tell you. Now I'm just looking forward to watching and finding out.
Marc will win the 2024 championship! Insane how fast he adapts
He’s pretty good isn’t he? 😉
he forgot others rider just testing to find some room to improve, not push like a hell in valencia test, of course i believe marc will win some races, but still its too early for world champ
@@yondufc Your assumption is that he was going 100%. The February test will be where you see everyone going for it with fast laps. Bagnaia and Martin will have their hands full next year.
I would mention Bezzecchi, his comments about Marc being the dirtiest rider in MotoGP history or along those lines tell me he is worried he will be #4 Ducati (or #5 when Morbidelli gets going on the Pramac '24 Duc).
@@sburns2421 yeah thats what i mean, i believe 24 season its not a big different result, top 3 will be the same i think, because they have more consistancy
but still interesting to wait 24 season
Too early to make that prediction. Too many things can happen. He will definitely be in the mix, though.
IT'S NICE TO SEE MARC SMILE!
Love this video, Marc Marquez all the way❤
Just to remember. He was using just a “base” setting. Wait until him and Frankie start tweaking it 😁🤤
Him tweaking it? 😂😂😂 that bike will become honda
@@segartulen3568he think marc still factory rider 😂😂, he forgot marc begging to ride ducati too
Nobody gives a fuck😂
@@yondufc -50IQ
@@emperorpalpatine6500 can't be worst than your whole family member in total only 49iq 🤡🤡
Im not a 93 fan .. but the rest of the field is in some deep shit .. even the factory riders need to worry
Deep trouble, tardozzi and ciabatti( ciabatta) wasn t happy
What a comeback, it looked like he was just cruising around and nowhere near pushing. Pecco and the other riders must be sweating now.
Pecco looked all over the place compared to Marc. It’s so hard to imagine Marc being as smooth as he was.
MM might get lucky by being opportunistic and win a few corrupted races.
Generally MM will always fire out the blocks, crash then get slower and slower.
What a day, that reaction from Marc was great 😉
When was the last time he cracked a smile like that during testing?
Fantastic rider and superb performance and Title 9 awaits him next year !!
Hope the title number 9 finally arrives it's been a long road since then.
Bro wasn't even trying 😂. Sky italia somehow sneaked a mic inside a garage, i heard something like -"the bike turns easily" "less physical than honda". But i also heard he cant feel the front very well.
Interesting, it's also worth noting that he was the only Ducati rider using the longer extended forks that Fabio digi had been using year. Wonder if the lack of feel is why the other 7 riders don't use them.
Oh boy, Marc has fiored his first shot. Imagine borrowing a mates bike, and be able to ride it faster than him within minutes.
So just to be clear. He went out on a bike he’s never been on with a ‘standard’ setting, only did 7 laps and beat the lap times of most of the grid who are the best riders in the world, many of them on familiar machinery. Roll on 2024
MM93🏆
Like the colour scheme on him and bike 👍
He doesn't need to speak to the media, his lap times and his smile says it all.
What about the whole time in the paddock struggling to contain there excitment when he posted the fastest Time. Seeing his Dad hide his smile was gold.
He looked crazy comfortable on that thing it was quite awesome to watch.
Just odd to see him without his Honda colors. Really good to see he could click with this bike. 👍👍🏁
Damn. I haven’t kept up much since Vale left.. mostly just watch highlights here and there.
Marc looking old!! Makes me feel old 😂
It was the other riders who told Dazn Spain they went to check Marc's telemetry and said MM did T8 faster than everybody.
Also someone from Gresini said MM used 2 front and 3 rear tyres for the whole 49 laps. So MM wasn't asking for new sets each time pushing for hotlaps.
Looking at the laps he pushed in the braking zones like in the Honda's style of braking (similar to JM style) each time MM tried like that he went too hot on T1.
So he wasn't able to ride the bike the way he is used to. The way JM does ride it will come with more experience and different tweaking of the settings to adapt the bike to MM's style.
He got a baseline setup from Zarco's bike and everybody was using the 2024 new Michelin carcass.
So what MM did was riding without pushing and it's clear when you watch his runs from the whole day.
He was also the rider with the least amount of laps.
MV did 36 laps more than MM, didn't have to adapt to a new bike because Aprilia didn't bring anything new.
BB crashed after trying to run a faster lap than what he achieved and MB emptied the stock of soft sets to score a faster lap than MM 😅😅 at the end of the day.
JM tried 2 times and didn't manage while FB didn't even bother to risk it, because he is very smart.
Dark MM looks sick! Stoked to see him on the Ducati and I've been a hater since he crashed so many riders earlier in the season lol.
He is in the top 5 in the world and has dominated when everything is going well. This ride is no real surprise and puts him in as a serious contender for another title in 2024.
Further up than top five.
Can't wait to see what Marc and Pedro do next season
2024 is going to another thrilling year with Marc back in the frame with a competitive bike 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can't imagine how amazing it must feel to hop on that Ducati after being beaten up by the Honda for so many years
Two things to note:
Really not surprised what Marc did today. It stems from what Alex Marquez felt last year and was fast from Day 1 on the Ducati
Secondly, Marc on that Ducati is now a raging bull and he will be competitive from Day 1 of 2024 Season. Period.
The entire paddock will have a tough time.
I don't know about the big names but if Aprilia performs better, Raul Fernandez will be the one to look after than the other three riders on the Aprilia who usually disappoints on the Sprints and Races.
One of the best of the modern era jumps from a pig to the best bike and is fast... big wow.
I know that smile. I have two Ducati’s. There is NO comparison
Im soo excited for next motogp and world sbk season..it will be super interesting ..Marc on Ducati and Rea on Yamaha ..aaaand Toprak on BMW 😍😍😍
Marc deserves a 2nd chance with a new team. Best of Luck.
come on mark. cant wait to see you on top of the podium !
I think he had one of the quickest top speeds too. When was the last time that happened?
I havent been this excited for a while
so excited for this antman. show Rossi you are different than him!!!
He's not having to ride at 110% to get a time out of it.
It certainly looked that way didn’t it? Imagine what he can do when he’s fully tuned in with it 🫨
He probably wasn't even close to 100%. Just keeping a bit more in reserve
looks like if he did really good job in 2024 even without win the championship, he will be in ducati main team sooner for sure
Its going to be a great 2024 Moto GP season with Mark finally 100% and on a bike that will put him in contention every race. What he did on this bike just now is incredible and when the bike is dialed in for racing he will be on his way to another Championship
Hope the beast comes back strong
Can’t remember looking forward to a new season and Im not even a fan of his . But as a racing fan this is going to be interesting
Marc’s performance was even more credible given that he’d been high sided by Martin just the day before. He almost certainly couldn’t have been at 100% fitness.
MM93 is the main reason why I'm excited for the new season
Is that a County Antrim accent I hear? Keep up the good work from a fellow County Antrim fan 🎉
93 has 2 hand bike he is fast give him new bike he will fly . This shows he is a legend of the sport
Well, his brother is the inside man who, unlike the normal team-mate dynamic is going to hold nothing back in telling him every detail.
That gives him a head start but, it's only testing thought still cant wait to see how it unfolds when the season kicks off.
Just give him the 2024 trophy now
He set his fastest lap on lap 46... is this a sign?? 😂
Can't wait for the 2024 season to start. I had lost interest in the MotoGP races as it had lost the excitement and competition when Marc had a good bike. He's going to show them and that they all know.
He rode the Desmo as if he had been riding it for 11 years. lol
that new honda, blimey, it's just look like ducati+KTM combined
he looked as smooth as silk on that bike ...
…..loving the flip 🙌🏼
Marquez and Martin 2025 factory Ducati team 100%
Credit to Lorenzo I think his input on the duc was invaluable
I'm already making the prediction that Marini will be comparable to world champ Mir next year, and ultimately outscore Mir by the end of the year.
I caught about 5 laps of the test, he looked so chill.
I was staggered but not surprised (if that makes sense). When you consider how long it took lorenzo who was a superstar to change. Marquez is incredible.
I really like these stealth colors , and Maverick is a thorn in the side of Duc
Very good first check and test ride.
Could be a problem for the other riders next year !
I think with all the emphasis last season on how bad the Honda was, people didn't notice that he was getting back his race 'head' and his physical fitness. That smile when he came back in after just 7 laps says it all: "Hey, that was easy, bring on next season!!"
I think that if the 2024 Ducati is not much faster than the 2023, they will have serious problems with MM93
2024 is going to be insanee...all the big boys on ducas...japanese bikes getting consecions...its going to be a fun time!!
The fact that Marc left Honda and went to a SATELLITE team, shows, it's all over... he may win races, but the machine itself cannot keep up with the OEMs.. satellite teams are where champs go when they are on their way to retirement :(
Do you even watch the sport?
Biggest Marc fan, bud.. I'm just being real here@@CC-xu2yz
Man if only they were making another season of MotoGP Unlimited next year. I really have no idea what they were thinking by axing it.
Bro that's insane, he just got on the ducati
I'm so looking forward to 2024!
Was this after his Valencia crash with Martin?
That was hard to watch
2024 World Champion right there.
Go back a decade and Ducati was written off as a competitive MotoGP bike. Supposedly, their end was in sight. The 90° cylinder architecture was doomed, only in-line fours were going to prevail. Today, Ducati dominates MotoGP. Heck, even Rossi mounts his team on them.
judging on #93 reaction and result, it will be interesting to watch next season
Marc vs. Bag… i’m shaking already….😮
May as well reserve a place on the podium for Marc. Like 44 of them 😊
Gawd please let Alex Rins and Fabio and Enea and Miguel have a healthy and successful season. Less injuries and crashes in 2024 please.
@@macsmith6216 oh, you mean the 100 bet I never made with you? Keep dreaming. I said I'd buy you tacos at COTA 2024. Maybe you could eat a hundred worth of tacos?
He should have been on one all slong!
I bet Honda has a clause in their parting agrement that he does not talk about the Honda
He can talk about Honda but not Ducati. He's still a Honda ambassador until the end of 2023.
@@cowarddonnie-ji5yz yes but i wouldnt be surprised if Honda has gagged him about comparing The Honda to the Ducati in the furure
@@pauls4708 they're only allowed to talk about the manufacturer who contracted them. That's why you don't hear riders with multi manufacturers experience like Zarco, Crutchlow or Pol do 'comparison talk'
sang pengambil resiko telah tersenyum kembali, sepertinya dia senang berada di sana, 93 saya tunggu anda di tahun 2024, smoga berhasil marc
He smiles because he can ride those Duc to the limit without crashing, and I am convinced that he will be a strong candidate for the 2024 MotoGP Champion.
I just can't wait for the 2024 battle between Marc, Pecco, and Martinator, because even if Marc uses the 2023 bike, it is very competitive.
And ........less than a second gap is nothing for Marc Marquez.
Note: The bike is original from the factory, and Marc has not made any adjustments such as seat, tank, etc.
Can't wait to see 93 ,No 1 again ,I ride 127000klm K8 rizzla ,would love a new bike that's just begging to be held flat ,Hint hint Ducati 😢Still luv old rizz ,Museum quality ,ridden church on Sundays 💯
he better not be shadowing/drafting other riders in quali anymore!
Yup.
It's like, he crossed to the dark side
tbh that didnt even look like he was going 80%. especially on corner exit. that looked like he was going closer to a 70-75% on average over the whole lap.
2024 MotoGP championship will be Ducati internal competition🤣
Just like this year? Hope not, but it wouldn't surprise me.
@@CC-xu2yzan even clearer domination because instead of Marino there will be Diggia, instead of Zarco there will be Softelli, the Bestia 23 who will go from a GP 23 to a GP 24 and not from a GP 21 to a GP 23 which is much more difficult more mm in practice out of 8 bikes 5 will always be there in front
Morbidelli change also the Bike and the result was ?
He has something to prove, most of the othet Ducati riders don't.
Everyone watching should know tests mean buggerall
Really!? After 8 championships under his belt as opposed to who's, how many again?
@@joselitoazarragajr.9780 yes to prove to himself and others he still has it. He can have 8 championships and still be a has-been.
Pecco's got more to worry about now. I really hope Marc gets his shit together now.
Marc Marquez is going to be more and more josgandos ini budheee
Marc smiling ,Honda seeing seeing it not happy, honda need to change how they structure their business
He was on 22 or 23 bike??
23. Zarco's old bike.
If Ducati have any sense they will put Marquez on the 24 bike!
@@CC-xu2yz
Remember... Not one crash for MM.
Basic settings... Killing folks.
Compare that to Morbidelli.
Young bucks got problems.
Marc on this years bike? Soft Soft? Did he look at other rider's data before or just get his own feel?
bello bello bello forza Ducati
he took so many hard crashes on that honda its a wonder he wantscto ride
He’ll be towing Pecco next year.
Ciao awesome 👍❤
He looks good
I don't think He will suddenly become world champion. He will fight in championship table for sure
The king //////93
Gonna be a lot of teeth gnashing by the Yellow Brigade next season.
1:20 gotten old on the Honda. 🫣
