@God,Family & Guns had this video come out some months back and I thought it was great so I did my own version of it! Lemme know what your go to carry gun is and has there been one that's stood out to you like this one has for me!
I immediately thought of GFG when I saw the title and I've been wanting to get a LCP Max in my hands ever since. He made an interesting comment how the "new" micro 9s were no more easier to conceal for him than a G19... All of these guns are a great option as they try to strike a balance of max capacity, concealable size, shootability (trigger, sights, grip...), build quality, and reliability.
That guy is a nut and thinks we are in the end of times lol 😂 like guns are really going to help you during the end of times if such a thing was really going to happen and if you believe in a god, guns won’t save you from god’s wrath as the world comes to a end lol 😂
I've had the Smith Shield and the EZ, the Hellcat Pro, the Ruger LCR+, a Glock 27 as my off-duty when I was LEO. After all of these choices, my favorite by far is the Sig 365. I shoot it better, it carries more comfortably for me and my wife loves hers also. She carries a Glock 17 on duty and is not terribly fond of it.
Please don't start talking about S&W Shield it's a piece of s*** cousin military to a real man who shoots for years or for 43 years good luck with that piglet s*** in the United States
I carry the Shield Plus and won't carry another gun. I'm only 4'9" tall and weigh 95 lbs and I will be 60 years old in July. I can carry this gun all day, which I do and I'm a house painter (self-employed) and it doesn't bother me at all, even if im working 10 hours a day, and even with my body frame there is no printing and very comfortable. No one knows I'm carrying. That in it self says a lot for me. This gun shoots flat and the recoil is mild compared to other c.c. guns and the grip is perfect for even my baby hands...Lol! Great video...Keep up the good work!
@@riverside321 shoulder holster may dude, everybody should have the right to carry specially people who struggle physically, because they are targets for criminal scum. Stay safe my friend.
*cry's with german tears* we can't :( not even for self-defense, which becomes more and more important here in Europe. Stabbings are skyrocketing, even youngsters carrying knifes with them to school etc. It's scary
@@isozarr That is crazy, I heard there was in issue in England, but didn't know it was all over Europe. I am very fortunate to live in a red state in Florida and in the US in general. Our constitutional carry is always being challenged, they won't stop until every last American is unarmed, but they will be met with resistance. We see what's happening to our brothers and sisters in Europe and it's very saddening. I hope there is an uprising there soon. I know right now they are rasing peoples electric bills and people are refusing to pay it. More resistance and push back and never give up no matter what.
Firearms are so personal. After a run through several manufactures and models the Sig 365xl fits my hand and gives me the best accuracy. I don’t dispute that it’s not for everyone. Find what you’re comfortable with and carry that.
So true. It's the 365 for me, but my wife loves her Walther and won't switch for anything. I'm good with mine and she's great with hers. Tried a couple Shields and just not as good. It really is a personal thing and you have to get to the range and try em before you buy em. If I had to choose a full size pistol it'd be Walther all day every day. Fun to read about others here.
Bravo. Nailed it right there. That’s how I feel about my 43X. I’ve carried a lot of different guns and yes, I’ve upgraded some things, but I didn’t need to. I wanted to and I trust it with my life.
Call me hard headed or old fashioned, but I carry an M&P .40 gen 2 compact. I love it! It's a smooth shooting, reliable and accurate. 40 cal. Great video!
Coming from a G19 then a Hellcat, I got me a Shield Plus Performance Center model with 3.1" ported barrel and slide and fiber optic sights and I absolutely love it, I took it to the range and first time shooting I had the best groups I have ever had. I just love the Shield Plus, everything about it, the less recoil, the way it feels, the sights, everything is great. My previous two carry guns I had dislikes about em but I have none with the Shield Plus and it is going to be my main carry gun for a long time.
I picked up the Shield Plus Bug Out Bag pack. Tons of mags, night sights, and optics ready. It's a hell of a gun and gives you just about anything you could need.
I was just about to say this. The mags alone made this a have to buy. Night sights and optic ready. Congrats to you and me lol. Now I wish I could find it after that damn boat trip.
I hear you and all but all I may need with my Glock 26 is night sights and maybe a flash light. Other than that I don’t believe in optics ready because, in the heat of the moment it will mostly or only be point and shoot. You won’t really have time to be focusing on optics.
Sorry But, if someone is shooting at me. I’m not going to waste time lining up my optics to shoot back. I’m pointing and shooting and trying to find cover. Optics for me is going to be for long range. Pistols are for close range rifles for long range. Try using your optics when being fired upon with no cover. I guarantee your going to have a bad day….
What made my first Shield a great carry is still the reason I continue to carry it. It's easy to carry, light and I can make a head shoot at 25 yrds. DONE
I just got the Beretta APX A1 Carry and I'm more than pleased. For as small and compact as it is, it shoots straight, it's light, accurate, nice and wide trigger guard is so nice as well, I like the iron sights (not 3 white dots, rear sights a black U). Only downfall with this gun for me is it comes with 2, 8 round mags. I'm hoping to find a 10rd magazine
I felt the same way when I picked up the P365 XL Spectre. At the end of the day there are a LOT of great options..my suggestion is JUST CARRY! This world is EVIL
Man you ain't joking! I never in my life would go out in today's world with out my 2nd amendment! People have lost it!! Wtf is going on???? And its mostly young people doing all this shooting! FJB
@Yo-yo! Whatever I carry outside the waistband. Bought a C&G holster for my Walther PDP that I really like. I’ve tried IWB, but it’s just not for me. I do have a Vedder magazine holder that is really nice. They make quality stuff.
thanks for the review. For those who wants to save time get direct to the point, SKIP TO 6:00. And it's a shield + I carry hellcat with optic, for the reason that the iron sight is available in case the red dot fails, like when it gets wet in the rain. Which makes red do unusable.
Tried the Hellcat Pro, all 3 iterations of the P365, Glock 43x and the Shield Plus. Shield Plus came home with. LOVE this gun. Shoots straight as an arrow. Lowest recoil of any of subcompact I tried.
Been going through the comments and find I must think different then most. Started my EDC journey with the m&p 2.0 EZ, knowing that it would end up my wife's after I got her used to a gun so close to use all the time. Then came the G3. Just fits my hand better. Groups tighten up at 20, 30, and 45 yards. Bought 3 for less then the Glock and now I have lots of mag's everywhere I want them and have 17+1 on me at all times.
Glock 27 anybody! Carried primarily for almost 20 years, finally picked up Bodyguard 380, whew..big difference! Now carry both, or a 3rd, sometimes a 4th, revolvers. Great video, thank you!
I'm glad you were able to find something that perfectly fits your needs. The Shield Plus is a heck of a gun and that is what my mom trusts with her life. I use a P365 when I'm not carrying my G19 and absolutely love it. I tried to get my mom one for mother's day to upgrade her EDC. However, the P365 just felt too tiny in her hands (she can fit my large size gloves) and felt snappy compared to her Walther PPS M2. After a day at the range, she decided on the Shield Plus. The grip just filled out her hands better, it felt more shootable to her, and her groupings were much tighter up to 10 yards compared to everything else she tried that was comparable in size. She's not a shooting fanatic like me, but she loved the trigger and had fun shooting the Shield Plus. To make things even better, Cabela's had the optics ready Shield Plus with the night sights for only twenty more than the standard Shield Plus. I'm glad it worked out for my mom and other gun owners out there like you Hegshot
I carry the Performance Center Shield Plus everyday. I have the 4 inch barrel with CT red dot. This gun shoots amazing and the red dot makes up for old eyes.
CT that comes with this gun seems too cheaply made and after owning it not quite a year it stopped working, least they sent a new one , no questions, but i believe im not the only one and i dont trust this optic, too bad cuz the gun is great, do the research on the optic though
The Canik Tp9 sc is the one for me. I have rotated between a G19, G23, and M&P shield for years but not any longer. The Canik has replaced them all. Its accurate as hell, and the trigger is amazing. I can plink 8" steel at 40 yrds all day long with it.
My wife carries the P365X. I love it so much I want to buy another one for myself. I currently carry the Canik TP9 Elite SC.. its shoots better than any striker fire pistol I've ever shot, but its a fatty, and really uncomfortable to carry IMO.
For me it was the P365. Now that there are more versions, I use my original P365 slide on the XL frame (Wilson Combat) and prefer the flat trigger. I carry a flush 12rd +1 and a 15rd backup. If I can't handle business in 28 rounds, then that is my day to go.
I like the other direction, long slide, shorter grip, like a Glock 19 slide and a Glock 26 grip or the new Taurus G3XL. Your setup is sound logic l and quality!
Carried the 365 for the longest time before picking up a a Hellcat and it’s remained my carry choice since the beginning of the year. I do have the standard Shield Plus that’s carried once in a while as well.
I agree with everything you've said. I picked up a shield plus optics ready this week after shooting one at the range. It's amazing. The extended mag makes it feel perfect for my hand. For such a small pistol, I get a big pistol feel. The trigger is one of the best, at least top 5, out of the box triggers I've used. S&W got this one right.
I still can't believe any men complain about grip texturing because it's scratchy or aggressive. Ever since I retired from the military, with years passing of not having to torture my hands, they have actually become soft and smooth and still I can't find any reason to complain about any gun's grip texturing affecting any of my fragile sensibilities, because I don't have any... so it makes me wonder what kind of guys complain about something so mundane and insignificant. That aside, this was a great video featuring some of the most popular ultra compact pistols. I was carrying a Glock 19 for a long time, now it's a 2nd Gen P365, and so far I can't find the gun to top it... Reliable, accurate, inexpensive (except for mags), 12 rounds with the extended mag and still undiscernible in conceal carry. I can only improve it by buying the newer Gen with the optic cut out, but I am well without it as well.
I’ve also owned a number of carry options, but after going through half a dozen viable options I’ve finally settled on a Ruger LCP Max .380 with 12+1 rounds. Zero imprint, super light, more than enough for self defense. Sometimes I’ll carry an extra gun depending what I’m doing, but 100% my EDC is the Max.
The LC9S with 7+1 is all I'll ever need. At the range, I'm more accurate with it than my larger, home defense, choices. Maybe it's my copy, but it's the one for me.
I'm with you. LCP Max has been a game changer and I do own two Shield+. Tried pocket carry with an Sig P938 and was never comfortable- a bit heavy, and flopped around even with Desantis holster. Have none of these issues pocket carrying the LCP Max. Truly forget I'm carrying it. Love my Shields, but haven't carried them in a while now.
I've had many pistols and a drawer full of holsters. Somehow I always go back to my Springfield XD 9 held in an old black leather Cardini IWB holster. Leather is inherently quieter and smoother. The old well worn Cardini holster shows in exact detail the outline of gun. The leather against my side gives excellent retention. I guess that the sweat has soaked it and molded it that way. I know every quirks of that old Springer, the triggers been smithed and polished down to a regular and consistent 5# pull and as many people complain about the grip safety, I have never had a problem with it affecting proformance it the slightest way. I just wouldn't have it any other way. Its is the only interactive safety on the firearm. The grip safety requires me to have a good purchase on the handle and if its in my hand out of doors serious business is afoot. Of course that will never replace the most important safety of all YOUR BRAIN. And regardless of what Alec Baldwin will tell you firearms require a trigger pull. It's the truth folks..A guns needs a trigger puller and you can't pull that trigger if it's not inside the trigger gaurd. So finger off the trigger until you are pointed at the target or whatever you intend to kill or destroy. I've had so much practice with this firearm that I can knock a hair off a tick's butt at killing distance. It may not be the gun of choice for some snobs out there but I trust it with this old worldly vessel (life on earth). I can get away with carrying a 7 inch double stacker because I go 6'8" and 300 pounds. It hides really well on me. In the summer I sometimes carry something smaller and lighter but I do carry the Springfield 10 months out of the year and on cool Summer nights. Always remember folks that EVERY bullet fired has a lawyer attached to it and maybe some mail. My point is if you fire in defense of your life, destroy or kill you will be held up to massive amounts of scrutiny and you better be righteous in your actions. When I was in my 20s and early 30s I carried and stopped carrying because even then I didn't feel like I had the mentality needed for such awesome responsibility. That's what it is a responsibility to enter public with the ability to end someone's life to protect your life and other people's lives from someone intent on doing harm to you and other innocent people. Know yourself first then worry about guns and holsters. Besides your going to spend a fortune before you are happy with your carry rig. LOL Becareful out there people.
The first gun I bought was the SHIELD 2.0 9mm. Carried it in a VEDDER LIGHT TUCK for the first year I had my carry permit( I live in PHILLY need a permit). LOVED IT. When the SHIELD PLUS came out I sold my SHIELD 2.0 to a friend and bought the SHIELD PLUS. Better trigger, more capacity makes a great gun a PHENOMENAL gun 💪💪💪💪💪. Also have a SHIELD 2.0 45ACP.
Could not agree more. I carried the Shield 2.0 and it was a serviceable firearm. Accurate, easy to shoot well and fast, but only 8 rounds. So when the Shield Plus shipped, I checked it out at my range and liked it immediately. My go-to carry is now the Shield Plus 3.1" Performance Center. A clear upgrade over the 2.0 version, and that's a real accomplishment. The Performance Ctr version shoots flat, straight, and with virtually no muzzle flip or recoil. It's even easier to shoot well with Subsonic HP rounds with zero malfunctions. I can concentrate on my consistency and speed, and my accuracy and times improved 50%. The RSO's at my range asked what I changed that so clearly improved my shooting, and it was the Plus with Trijicon HD night sights. Hegshot is NOT exaggerating - excellent review. Highly recommended! imho.
I have owned the 365, hellcat, now own a shield plus with an optic, 365x with optic, and now the Hellcar pro with optic. I prefer the Hellcat Pro mainly because 15+1 in a pistol the exact size as a 365xl is amazing, then I carry the 365x, and the shield plus is in 3rs place for me. They are all amazing and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them but for me that's my top 1-3.
I was about to comment, then I read yours. I also own the XL, the Hellcat Pro and the Shield plus. My go to is the Hellcat Pro, then the XL with the Shield Plus still #3 for me as well. But all 3 are excellent.
Just got my first concealed carry gun. M&P Shield Plus. It felt the best in my hand in the gun shop. I feel even better about my decision after watching your video. Thanks!
Ditto - after testing several models by Glock, SIG, IWI, Beretta, Ruger, Springfield Armory & Taurus - all of which were worthy candidates - the M&P Shield Plus was the only one that really felt comfortable enough in my hand to make the sale.
Taurus all day long if you got a problem with the trigger get a keep tinkering trigger installed now you got a beast on in your hands for rounds 12-15-17 your choice pick one whats nice about a Taurus you can upgrade everything and you still cheaper than your competitors - Your $200 Taurus now equals a $750 - S1000 depending on what upgrades you did - G-series
I have been carrying a CZ 2075 RAMI for the past few years and find it to be perfect for me. It is a DA/SA all metal weapon . It comes with two mags, 10 and 14 rounds. It is accurate and has minimal felt recoil. It is no longer being manufactured, so it’s invaluable to me.
based. da/sa/ with decocker. and not hair-triggerred in ur waist like a 1911. i usually carry a hungarian pa-63 in 9x18 makarov, its basically a light-weight aluminium/titanium framed walther ppk. now im finding taurus 605 in 357 or springfield 45 subcombact. But the real home run. which saddly is too large to carry any day or situation...... the walther ppq m2.
I like the Rami, PCR and now I have a SAR ISA B6C ( CZ 75 B Compact Clone with a polymer frame. Great addition. RAMI was never marketed enough, G26 like but better!
For me it was the GX4, it's everything I wanted my 365 to be only 10x better!!! The GX4 is my second favorite 9mm I have ever owned. only the Charter Arms Pitbull was better. what can I say I'm still a revolver guy at heart!!!
There are so many out there I haven’t tried…but I can’t get past how good my P365 holds, carry’s and shoots. Standard or 12-round mag and flat trigger. Love it.
For basic self-defense and home protection, we are very happy with our G3C's and their 12+1 capacity. Reliable, accurate and inexpensive for the lower budget Social Security Survivors. Now we are looking at Hi-Point for an AR in our budget. Thanks Hegshot87, love your work.
Bro...absolutely nothing wrong with the G3C. I own the P365xl, PPS M2 as well as the VP9SK and I still carry my G3C. My edc before that was the G2C. I thought I was getting a good gun for the money when I purchased my G2C but quickly found out it's just a good gun. I quickly grabbed the G3C when it became available as the only con with the G2 was the trigger. I also love its second strike capability. It's a quality firearm that's easy to shoot and very underrated.
I carried the original shield for years! Bought the plus put optics on it , had high hopes but, ditched them both for my full size M&P and made the size difference work for me, and I’m 5,8 and a buck and a half! My confidence in the M&P can’t be shaken. Five thousand plus rounds ,never a hiccup and I rest easy knowing me and the people around me are safe! I don’t discard your analysis, just opining. Thanks.
I love the Shield Plus. Nice trigger, good capacity, smooth shooter that shoots like a larger gun, and it's easy to carry. I do use the 13+1 extended mag to fit my hand. But...it was my favorite carry gun and I thought nothing would replace it, until I got the CZ P-10 S with 2 round extension. It is a little bigger and heavier, but it fits my hand perfectly. Shoots great and conceals easily for me. I do carry the Plus occasionaly, but the CZ is the gun that helped to cure my need for the next great carry gun, which quest I was on for about 4 years with 30-40 different guns.
I've only come across 1 P-10C and was at a pawn shop that's has great stuff. The second I seen it I got it in my hand and it was awesome. It was brand new too. It went on layaway immediately. I carried it all winter but man I'd love to find the S! Went back to the Glock 30, CZ was just a bit bigger to big for a t-shirt. I guess I could of open carried it!
I love my CZ's as well, I have a Rami , P01 Omega that's been Cagunized and shoots amazing, but really like my Shield Plus for it's concealability and soft shooting for such a small gun . Shield Plus my EDC.
The S&W Shield Plus 30SC (Super Carry) is awesome. 9mm type balistics and with the flush fit mag you get 13+1. With the extended mag its 16+1. Its very comparable in size to the Sig p365.
I took 3 range sessions & used a process of elimination to fing my EDC. The Shield Plus was the best Micro 9 for me & my money after shooting nearly every offering on the market ranging from the Hellcat, p365, ppsv2, p10s, & mc9.
I carry a 4” Performance Center Shield of one caliber or another much of the time. I have the 4” Shield Plus in 9mm, a 2.0 4” model in 40 S&W and a 2.0 4” model chambered in 45 Auto. The 45 and 9mm are tied for being my favorite carry pistols. All three are easy to carry and fun to take too the range. I like the balance of the 4” models and I tend to be more accurate with the longer sight radius compared to the 3.1” Shields.
I’m carrying my Shield Plus now. It’s replacing my PPS M2 for summer carry. I got the optics cut bug out bundle with $50 back. It was a great deal. I had the original Shield and this one is much better.
Used to carry a shield but it had too msny issues to be reliable. switched to a G23 & had no issues except it is a bit boxy & heavy. Moved to a warm weather state & realized i needed something that didn't print wearing a t-shirt all the time. Currently ccw a Kimber micro 9 and love it. Light, accurate, and minimum recoil due to aluminum frame. Carry what works for you.
I have all those guns u mentioned except the spectracomp, but for some reason I still keep going back to my G26. I have both the G26 Gen3 and the G26 Gen 5. The G26 is just a smooth shooter, it shoots like a full size gun and is still very concealable even with the plus 2 extension mags. But like I always say: "to each their own" carry what gun fits well in your hand and u shoot the best with.
I'm a small guy with health issues, mostly a bad back. I carry a Sig. 365 with a 12rnd. mag. & another 12 rounder in a lertherman type sheath on the opposite hip so 25 rounds on me. I'm just over 5'7" & around 145lbs. This works for me.
The perfect carry gun depends on your body type and hand size. I'm 6'2", 220lbs. and wear large in glove sizes. I can easily conceal a glock 19 size gun appendix carry while wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I've found that the sub-compact pistols are simply too small for my hands. I can't get a good grip on the pistol without my pinky hanging off and worse yet, I usually get slide bite on the web of my hand between my thumb and my index finger. It all comes down to what I said before. If you're a smaller person with smaller hands a 15 rnd Glock/M&P/P360 compact may be harder for you to conceal. A sub-compact may work better for you as long as you can get a full grip on it.
@@julianswayze6251 Haha. Yeah but seriously if someone has size L hands or larger I don't suggest a subcompact. Besides not being able to get a full grip unless you have a magazine extension, which defeats the purpose of using a subcompact, you're very likely to get slide bite which hurts like hell and takes forever to heal. If I have a need to carry a small sub/microcompact pistol I carry a S&W Featherweight J-frame revolver. Even with my pinky hanging off the bottom, I can still get a good grip and no slide bite.
.30 SC from what I understand is the same projectile bullet as a .327 Federal Magnum, I have a Ruger LCR .327 Fed Mag snubnose hammerless revolver and for a DA pistol, it fires excellent, very accurate. So I'm excited about .30 SC
Everybody's learning curve is different. Everyone's needs are different. My learning curve ended with me understanding too big means I won't carry consistently. Too small and it's more difficult to shoot. The Glock 43x is my Goldilocks gun. It's doubtful I will ever carry anything else, especially since I've adopted shield arms 15 round magazines that work flawlessly.
Completely agree, the capacity is more than enough and easy to carry. I always have it on me, can't say the same for friends who insist on carrying G19s.
I would consider a shield for a backup gun, but for primary carry I can't do it. I prefer a full size gun for my primary carry. I currently carry a g45. It's comfortable and conceals just fine.
I said the same thing until I bought one. The gun shoots and feels like full size gun. My Glock 45 is now my night stand gun, now me and my wife both carry Shields.....
I have enjoyed many different shields over the years. I currently have the CSX, it's a newer model and has none of the complained-about issues. The trigger is around t pou ds with no false reset. I enjoy it.
I purchased a lot of guns but I kept going back to the G26 gen4 with the 12-rd extension. I shoot it better than my G19 and I find it very comfortable. You made a very good point about confidence and that’s why we all make our choices. I almost bought the Shield Plus Bug Out package because it was a great value but the grip width is a little to thin for me.
I carried a G31 Gen2 for 20+ years. Occasional rotation with a P229 in 357. Enter the P365. Haven't carried anything else concealed in 4 years. My current rotation (clothing dependent) is an SAS ported or an XL slide on the original 10rd frame. The 10 & 12rd mags have MagGuts internals. So my SAS is 12+1 in a J-frame revolver form/size factor. Holy dammit man.
The Glock 26 remains, and will always remain the best concealed carry weapon for me because it will accept the spare 12, 15, 17, 19, 24 or 33 round spare magazines I can carry in my pocket
I’ll still take a G26 Gen5 because it takes Glock factory 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 24, 33 round magazines. With an X-grip sleeve, a 15 or 17 round Glock factory magazine in the G26 dominates over the Sig or the M&P, regardless of their magazine configurations. But I even like the G43 and 43x even better. The 43X with factory 10 + 1 capacity is perfect for ccw use, coupled with a spare mag or two in the pocket. Having to reload after firing 11 round….so what! I’m not concerned that the 43x “only” has 10-rnd OEM mags. I’m not chasing down burglary suspects with that gun, so I don’t need more than three mags total on my person with that gun. But I know Glock is proven to be the MOST reliable pistol out there and it’s why Glock is compared against everyone’s “other” brand choice. Sometimes good enough, just is.
It’s a great time for concealed carry with many of the manufactures all giving quality purpose built guns for it. I used to carry a CGW CZ P01 in the winter and a Gen 1 Shield in the summer. Then picked up a P365. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I sold my shield and my P01 rarely sees the light of day. I’m sure the shield plus is quality and you can’t go wrong with either.
All good choices. My favorite carry gun is the HK USP compact 9mm (that’s the reason for the name) but it’s the size of G19 and only holds 13, but I love the da/sa action and shoot it so great, also like carrying a J frame S&w .357mag (360, 640, 649) for a backup. The HK is my carry gun that stopped me in my tracks, I carry it 99% of time, J frame 99% of the time. for the micro 9mm I’ve tried a lot but don’t stick with them very long, from 365, HellCat, p365XL, and the S&W CSX. I like my sig p365 good gun but rarely carry it, I love the CSX but bummed there is no night sights for it yet. I wish HK or beretta could bring us a micro 9mm that is da/sa.
I’ve had so many different types of handguns over the past 20yrs but my 1st shield by far was the most reliable, accurate and flawless one of all. I sold it and purchased new one with red dot with 13 round and it’s my go too ccw, highly recommended!!!
P365 XL replaced my G19 for EDC. Carries so much better than the G19 for me, I shoot it better than the 19, and overall love the fit in my hand. However, for anyone else who experienced light primer strikes with theirs (like I did): CHECK YOUR STRIKER FOR HEAVY GREASE! Mine was experiencing an LPS every 100 rounds, which was disconcerting and certainly not something I'd want to carry as my EDC. I took it apart, and removed the striker from the channel. Lo and behold, it was coated with a gummy cosmoline-esque goo that was so thick it absolutely would impact striker performance. I removed all that gunk, cleaned out the striker channel, and reassembled. After another 500+ rounds, not one single issue. Quick fix you can do yourself!
Just bought one yesterday and picking it up in 9 days. Here in CA it only comes with two 10 rd flush mags and a pinky extension for one. Can't wait to see how it shoots on the range
I'm gonna have to agree with this gentleman,,, I have owned all three of the shields - and last year I purchased the Shield Plus Performance Center Model - ported barrel and slide - I then added some really nice Tru-Glo TFX sights - along with the right carry holster - and folks - I just keep back. I love this Shield Plus Performance Center - Talk about the trigger - I can't believe it's a stock trigger... What a great pistol - " S&W Shield Plus Performance Center " ....
I do like the s&w shield over any glockenspiel . But still carry my old kahr cm9 7+1rds, and berreta px4 subcompact 13+1rds , have thousands rounds through them both.
my most carried is a g26.3 in a P80 wrapper. it's a 'feel in the hand' thing. i looked at things from a scavenger's point of view. glock mags are everywhere and if it's a 9mm, it'll work for me. adding the +2 baseplates on my mags keeps me in the game a little longer. mag sleeves have their purpose and work just fine for me.
The p365 is awesome and I still carry it from time to time. I never understood the find the right carry thing until the 43x. It checks all boxes in my opinion.
I have both an M&P 2.0 (full size) and a H&K VP9SK. But the gun I keep reaching for is my Taurus G3c. It fits my hand, it’s just the right size for carry and it holds 12+1 rounds.
For me it was the hellcat. It has a little snap to it but with practice and a firm grip its very easy to control and get great groups with at 7 to 10 yards. Definitely my favorite micro pistol and yes I’ve owned a p365 which had the best trigger of any of my carry guns.. but the hellcat still wins in my book.
I had a Hellcat and added some features like a DPS Recoil spring, different grip texture and whatnot, but finally got a Ruger LCP Max and sold the Hellcat. Everything else is heavy as a brick and uncomfortable in comparison, and I’d never go back to a pocket 9mm after the switch.
I have a S&W Shield 9mm and replaced the Henge Trigger with a Hyve Monarch Trigger (flat face). A very real improvement. I now also have a S&W 9mm Shield Plus.. With the new Trigger the Shield shoots as good as my Shield Plus. I am keeping Both. Also The Equalizer 15 round mags fits the Shield Plus. I also replaced the Barrels with Threaded Barrels.3 5.8 inch. Better lock up and a Great improvement.
I've tried quite a few and own quite a few. My everyday carry is (and will be until it gets beat---which I honestly can't picture) a Springfield Armory Hellcat. Came with an 11 round, and 13 round...and I eventually bought the 15 round. I can quarter size a group open site at 25 feet all day---and I have 16 in the weapon. I feel safe if crap goes down with some maniac at Arby's.
I started out with the first shield 9 then I began my search for that ‘perfect’ carry gun buying several other sub compacts over the years just to end up with the shield plus PC as my summer carry. It’s big brother the M&P 2.0 4” is my winter carry.
I was still rocking the original Shield until recently and found a great deal on a Glock 43x. I was eyeballing that Shield plus in 9mm and the Sig XL. That super carry round looks like a clear winner with 16+1 in a slim light carry package. They are all supposed to be optic ready and have night sights standard I hear.
Nothing will replace my glock 42. Fits anywhere and I live in Florida, so worrying about "penetrating" winter clothing on bad guys is not a concern. being able to pocket carry with just shorts and t-shirt is a must. I largely think that the shade thrown on .380 is ridiculous anyway.
I started carrying a subcompact 1911 for a while and now I carry a Ruger Sec-9 4" in the appendix. I like that it's a 15 + 1 and just as reliable as hell. The 1911 was a 5 +1 and that was just not enough.
For me it was the G26. Aside from how well it shoots for what it is, it is also pretty perfect for me as a 6'3, 210 pound human. I am very used to it and shoot it more than any other gun I own. If it ain't broke, don't fix it type of thing. Everyone has their jam. And putting in the time with it matters more than anything, of course. I'd rather be a great shot with a shitty gun than a shitty shot with great gun.
I got the 4" PC version with 407K cut. Going to mount the new Holosun EPS carry on it I installed the new flat trigger into the original shield too. The shield plus is replacing my original shield. I'll sell it in a few months.
I like the reliability yet cost of my g3c. I don't mind it getting sweaty or bumped carrying it appendix ALL THE TIME, even in the house. I have been curious about the shield plus, however.
Same here my g2c. I have put on night sights, Keep Tinkering trigger, and Lakeline stainless guild rod and firing pin sleeve. Lost the double strike capability with the new trigger shoe, but now have faaaar less travel, and goes bang way before you get to the back of the trigger guard. Have fun and be safe!
I decided on the 43x for summer clothing and in the winter I carry FN509M. But it's so cool to see all these comments and see everyone's carry opinions. Love it because I feel more and more of the right people are carrying nowadays. Stay safe everyone and carry whatever you are proficient with. 👍
I carry the G 26 and I’m good with it. Those smaller framed guns hurt the swell of my palms. I also have larger Glocks, so I can use the higher capacity Mags all the way up to bater Mags. If SHTF or if there was a zombie apocalypse, I would be good to go with Mag capacity and parts. Glock all the way Bro….😎
Good point with Glocks aftermarket, You can tailor the G-26 from 10 rounds up to 17 rounds in a small package with small medium or full size grip to meet any self defense need.
The week this came out, I took my Shield 2.0 out of it's holster, sold it, bought a Shield Plus with the money, put it in the same holster, haven't looked back. I've been a Shield guy since (almost) the beginning as well.
My p365 has a 15 plus one set up. It’s so small and accurate. I love it. It’s a 2022 manufactured date so it’s after they got the kinks out of it. I love it it’s smaller than my wife’s Walther 380 and much smaller than my hnk 40 cal usp compact. It’s not as nice as my hnk but it’s still a great gun for the size and ease of carry. My home defense I would use my 40 or long gun but when your out and about and it’s 100 degrees outside a small gun that’s basically invisible. Please carry a gun for your own protection. Just not a high point. Spend at least 300 bucks on a gun and practice using it not just shooting it but clearing it racking it cleaning and learn the functions and limitations stay safe ❤
Glock 17 gen5 all day everyday except sometimes 2 is better than 1
Please don't start talking about S&W Shield it's a piece of s*** cousin military to a real man who shoots for years or for 43 years good luck with that piglet s*** in the United States
Its really accurate and dependable.
Damn you small. Brah

*cry's with german tears* we can't :( not even for self-defense, which becomes more and more important here in Europe. Stabbings are skyrocketing, even youngsters carrying knifes with them to school etc. It's scary
Just curious as to why “2” 365’s ?
( and I’m a fine one to ask…..as I have “2” model 29’s……and no, I don’t really have an answer…! )
Ya well they are working hard to try and take your AR'S so vote correctly or they may come to an end like in Canada. 👍
@@isozarr Its pure hypocrisy, considering that Germany is also the number one and two selling guns through Sig right now.
I can't buy the 365 in California ☹️
Carry pistols, only need a 5 yrd gun, in most cases, regardless of brand.
I got one as well- as soon as I saw it about 2-3 months ago. Just got my rebate card 2 days ago. I carry mine as a backup in a pocket holster.
@@Lift_these optics actually make Target acquisition quicker, unless you're doing it wrong by lining up sites.
DONE
I went from a SIG P938 (single stack, no polymer) to a P365XL. Night and day - it's a glorious time for carry.
I'm hoping to find a 10rd magazine
im glad to see this comment. waiting on mine to be delivered to my FFL. Got that sweet rebate
have same one and I'm happy with it, surprise how much look a like was that Glock on the video

For those who wants to save time get direct to the point, SKIP TO 6:00. And it's a shield +
I carry hellcat with optic, for the reason that the iron sight is available in case the red dot fails, like when it gets wet in the rain.
How's that CT holding up? Been considering getting a red dot and would like to not break the bank on an optic
Canik is a great gun! My 1st edc, but that thing is heavy as heck! Compared to that 43x
Yeah I heard that Canik sc is amazing. Definitely considering it

@@xempath I actually like the 6moa a lot better. The 32moa reticle on the 2moa helps me a little more on my cross eye dominance.
My wife carries the P365X. I love it so much I want to buy another one for myself. I currently carry the Canik TP9 Elite SC.. its shoots better than any striker fire pistol I've ever shot, but its a fatty, and really uncomfortable to carry IMO.
@@nechavataco191 I also carry my Glock 19 at times. I agree that Canik TP9 is a sweet shooter 🇺🇸
I rock the 365XL with a spare 15 round mag and 507k(red) daily. Love the setup. I dont think it will change until I can no longer physically carry.

How come you like the hellcat better? Just curious
I went from Hellcat to P365X. Lol
It's all preference in my opinion. People should carry what they are most comfortable with.
love my p30 sk with 15 round mags with 17 round follower and springs 😮 might get the M&P for my wife.
Post a longer comment please

LOL
Becareful out there people.

I quickly grabbed the G3C when it became available as the only con with the G2 was the trigger. I also love its second strike capability. It's a quality firearm that's easy to shoot and very underrated.
Hi point makes an AR?

Checzellent!
For me, the HK VP9SK is still king. Its accuracy and ergonomics is still unmatched in my opinion.
I just wish they would increase the capacity.
@@TeeLocky They did. Flush fit mags are now 12 rounds instead of 10.
They look so good too
I took 3 range sessions & used a process of elimination to fing my EDC.
Shield Plus with Crimson Trace Red Dot. The bomb!
Yep me too.
Why what big hands you have you manly man you
@@julianswayze6251 Haha.
6’1, 200lbs and I can comfortably carry a G17 @ 4 o’clock position. Agree with you, it all comes to you body type and hand size.
@@heldercomp small
.30 SC from what I understand is the same projectile bullet as a .327 Federal Magnum, I have a Ruger LCR .327 Fed Mag snubnose hammerless revolver and for a DA pistol, it fires excellent, very accurate.
I'm still on the fence with the shield arms 15 rounders
@@blasso29802 will need to change out the plastic mag release button to a metal one
Completely agree, the capacity is more than enough and easy to carry. I always have it on me, can't say the same for friends who insist on carrying G19s.
My go to is my canik tp9 sc, 379 optics ready out of the box 12 round and 15 round mag and one of the best triggers out of the box for a gun under 400
I have the tp9sfx its big but it's my go to everyday carry canik makes a great pistol
The Shield Plus has been my primary EDC for a year. I love everything about it.
I would consider a shield for a backup gun, but for primary carry I can't do it. I prefer a full size gun for my primary carry. I currently carry a g45. It's comfortable and conceals just fine.
I concur with you, Phil Zandstra.
I said the same thing until I bought one. The gun shoots and feels like full size gun. My Glock 45 is now my night stand gun, now me and my wife both carry Shields.....
Agreed.
Perfect choice!
Same for the g26. Have a 365 and the shield plus but I often still carry that 26 just due to how easily I can be accurate with it..
I have a 365 and Hellcat, but I keep going back to my Gen 5 26. I just shoot it way more accurately.
Grip width was always my issue with the shield. Always caused me to pull shots to the left.
Most concealed carry attacks are less than 5 shots at close range.
Completely agree. The Shield Plus simply does everything really well.
VP9SK. Trigger, Ergonomics, Superior Mag Release, 12-15 rounds, potentially 17 with aftermarket mags. Make the grip fit your hand.
G26 all day long!
Fukin fanboys.....
Just got 1 Friday🤘🏼
Glock just works. @@jonjacobjingleheimerschmid3798
I’ve carried a Glock 26 for that reason over ten years now. Nothing better in my opinion
I rotate between a P07 and a P01 throughout the year. Might have to check out the Sig and S&W offerings.
I respect your analysis base on facts and experience in guns you really carry . This point set you apart from others , CONGRATULATIONS!! WELL DONE !..
The one that turned me is my Sig P365XL. I carry it daily in a Bradec AIWB backed up by a KORE ESSENTIALS belt.
I have both the 365 and shield plus. The shield plus build quality is second to non. Makes the 365 feel fragile in comparison. I love my shield plus.
I’ve carried the Hellcat with reddot for three years now and love it. I carry with the extended mag.
Love my Hellcat. I took the 15 round mag and added the 13 round base to it. It’s not terribly long and now hold 18 in the mag…no issues.
Agree, mine is the Shield Plus as well. Just wish the front scales went up the slide and they would move the logo back to make room for it.
I have both an M&P 2.0 (full size) and a H&K VP9SK. But the gun I keep reaching for is my Taurus G3c. It fits my hand, it’s just the right size for carry and it holds 12+1 rounds.
I own several of the "Micro 9's" and I love them all, but the Shield Plus is far and away my favorite. Just a great shooting gun.
I own an all black glock 43x with rubber texture talon grips and I love it
For me it was the hellcat.
My version of your worst case is the Walmart scenario but I'm with you. Same difference.
I became impressed withbthe G26...and with Hickok 45 the day I watched him hit the gong consistently with his G26..
Shield Plus with night sights. I can carry 13 rounds and 10 rounds. Love it so far.
I had a Shield 2.0 and didn’t like the thinnest of the grip. I shot the Shield plus and it was better but I prefer my P365 XL in every way.
I got the 4" PC version with 407K cut. Going to mount the new Holosun EPS carry on it
I installed the new flat trigger into the original shield too.
The shield plus is replacing my original shield. I'll sell it in a few months.
Haven’t had the chance to shoot the shield plus yet, but it’s on my radar for sure. However, I LOVE my Sig 365x!
I agreed. I have a OG shield carried forever. Just got shield + uses the same holster as shield. Comfortable good shooter. I love mine! 🤘☮️
I’ll take a 43x over all of those
Leaning for G49 .. how you like that 43× it's just a shorter Barrel version of the 49.
