9.12, (DNF(3.72)), 4.32, 3.58, (3.04) = 5.67
3.87 WR11 average if the 3.72 wasn’t a DNF
Method: 7simul (Tommy)
Comp: Don’t DNF Dublin 2024
The 3.04 is insane, and something I’ve never thought about getting. Last few comps I’ve been focusing on getting a good average (preferably top 100 in the word) as my current one of 5.41 is still pretty bad for me as I global 4.2~
I don’t think the 3.04 would’ve happened if it weren’t for the poor start. I had no nerves for the final few solves because I already knew the opportunity of getting a semi good average was completely out of the window as I counted a 9 after the DNF
Considering the DNF, I’m very happy with how this turned out, I still somehow managed to come 3rd with the 5.67 average in the final.
The last thing I ever expected was getting merely close to a SUB 4 AVERAGE OFFICIALLY and I did somehow!
My next comp is in mid February, so maybe then I can finally pull out a sub 5 average or something close enough, I’m also hoping to beat current FWR average (4.66) this year

i use tommy’s 7simul
i dont really have much tips for a sub 6 average, i guess nerve management is important and also accurate turning >fast turning
I have really good nerve management, but I have a comp in like a week, and I want to use no flip also. Is it possible for me to use it in comp not affecting my averages?
@@U_Perm yeah if you average faster/the same than flip at home and can inspect easily 12~ seconds it’ll be fine

Any thoughts on the new clock pin regulations?
at first i didn’t really like it but i slowly realised it has more pros than cons, some including it being easier to run and comps and that it could be introduced in some regions that have never done clock before
i didn’t like it because i thought they were taking away a crucial part of solving, but it’s actually fine
Isn’t one of the regulations that you can’t push pins in inspection?
