My flight got delayed back when I was there and my family there was too far away from the airport same for a hotel so I ended up sleeping and tbh it was fun experience and it's super nostalgic to me.
Did they make any accomodations for you since they delayed it?

Do they still do a secobd or third baggage check before you board? We were there in February 2023 and they did the main tsa check after the immigration exit stamp, then another tsa xray machine to enter the new terminal and then "randomly" they checked all my families bags again at the gate.
Just flew back from SAL to LAX (11/29/2023). Yes, they did a second baggage check which I think is rather odd.
I came back a month ago from SAL To JFK and we just had to go through the main tsa check then a 2nd one in another part of the airport
Hi Corey! How long does it take to enter through customs when arriving?
When we arrived it wsa about 15-20 min. The line was moderately long. They have 2 stations you have to stop at.

How dangerous, safe was it?
When you arrive from the US do they stamp your passport?
Yes, you will go through immigration where they ask you questions about why are you coming to visit. And then they’ll stamp your passport.

Hey man, I live in Houston too and I’m going to El Salvador in April. Just booked my flight, rental car, and hotel. how early did y’all’s flight leave? I also just realized the airport is about an hour from the actual city. How was driving around from the airport to the city?

Our flight left around 8am if I remember correctly. Renting a car had some hickups but it was probably the best option. They charge $1000 deposit to a credit card to rent. Also renting from the airport is basically your only option even though you will see multiple rental companies all around the city on google maps.
The drive is like 40min. It goes buy quick because it's a very hilly drive. You have a lot of views to keep you entertained. The closer you get to the city worser the drivers get. The cars out there are built much smaller than American cars. The side mirrors don't show you as much as you're used to. Takes a few minutes getting used to it.
@@Canoncorey okay. My flight leaves at 7am. That’s not good if y’all had issues returning the car at the airport. That’s where my rental is from.
Theres no drop box to put your keys in?
No we just left it on the table. They dont even have an entrance to come in. All the doors are locked. We just waited for someone to come out and we walked in.
