Praise God...someone is watching...for sure, if this person is arguing about God or religion..for sure this man is seeking for the TRUTH...seeking for God. everybody is welcome...praise JESUS CHRIST!!!!
i learned a lot from this guy... :) especially when it comes to mixing up the notes anywhere on the guitar to create a chord or arpeggio wherein you can just mix them up to fit in the song parts nicely. learn every note on the guitar and you'll figure out what he's doing... :)
Nigel and Hillsong thanks for serving all of the worship community by making these videos. Makes it easy to learn and perform your songs and bless the people of God at my church. Looking forward to joining you in worship "on the other side"!
lol it is somewhat difficult to see exactly where he is, but I guess we'd have to figure it out , for the intro he's capo'd on the fourth fret (obviously) and then he's playing on the e and b strings. looks like it goes (counting from the capo) on the e string 5-5-3-5-5-5-3 -- 7-8-8-7 -- 5-5-3-5-5-5-3, then on the b string above it's 3-5-5 into the 3 on the e string and you just start all over again and that's that main riff.
The first chord he picks through after the main riff is is 5th fret on the d string, 4th fret on the g string and 3rd fret on the b string and he picks it in the order d g d b g and then he slides those same notes forward and drops his middle and index finger down a fret below(same picking pattern I think) and then 3rd chord is 2nd fret d string and 3rd fret b string you pick d string open g string d string and then b string and then play 4th fret g string and the last chord is
For those who dont know who this guy is.. He is nigel hendroff one of the best guitarists at hillsong (to me the best) :) And the guitar hes using is a dusenberg wrong spellin sorry lol
he is holding the full chords fingering I guess but the last chord is just the notes 2nd fret on the d string again and the 1st fret on the b string. he plays the STRINGS like d g d e b. and then looks like he just loops the same notes till he moves to the chorus which is (figure out the strumming by ear k, the notes are - relative to capo - 7th fret g string, 8th fret b string 10th fret b string then back to the 8th fre on the b string. the variation to that is that he goes to 10th fret d
He uses a Jackson Ampworks Amp and that Duesenberg guitar with TV Jones pickups. Probably a Timmy OD stacked with some other, maybe a J&H, and of course, the delays stacked.
then back to 8th fret on b then 7th on e and back to the 10th on b, the instrumental after that is startng 7th from cappo on g string then down to 5 down to 4 down to 2 all on g then up a string to 4th and 5th frets on D string then start over and the variation is 7th fret g string, then 4th then 2th and slide into the 5th on g string. he's actually using his ring and middle finger to dampen out the other strings and his pinky is obv four notes away two strings down (play around with it) and
@rockstar4jc I agree it seems like they are just showing off their pedalbaords hah. But when the pedalboard does appear you know then that another pedal is being engaged or disengaged, so by ear you can sort of guess which pedal he turns on or off.
gravação incrivel parabens , harmonio musica homen usados por Deus e mulher do teclado mulher de Deus , so grava as guitarras de frente pra eu pegar mais facel kkk fiquem com Deus
@MrcolasR I read on Twitter that he used the Maxon Overdrive pro for the intro and then stacked the Mullholland Drive for the rest of the song. And for the delay, I wouldnt be surprised if he used the Nova Delay.
anyone know where these videos originally came from? is there a site or a dvd or something with these instructional vids on them? I'd like to see what other ones they have done.
@rockstar4jc @EMOneLifeBand see the lights the turn on when he switches. As for how they're dialed in: that's where our ear comes in. They can't do everything for use you know!
hi!! may i know what are those things that he's playing on the guitar at 1:45.. I really wanna learn those things on the guitar but i dunno how to search it on the net.. and nobody know's how to teach..
He's just doing a B Triad (B,D#,F#), inversion of an F#5(C#,F#,C#), back to the B Triad, back to the C#, back to B, and then to a B triad but suspending it(B,E,F#).
Have been wanting to get that tone for a very long time BUT theres something that Im not sure about is, what pre-amp he use, and is he using Distortion or OverDrive. Can anyone help me please, thank you!
if he has all his pedals running through a controller, then showing us which controller button he's stepping on doesn't help us with figuring out which effect is being used or how the effect is dialed in.
hmm.... that's a big statement.. hardly anything revolutionary with how he plays. Just some droned out delay lines.... I play in Church and this guy is just average.. I would say in Church settings, Lincoln Brewster is a killer guitarist
I want to learn how Nigel comes up with these amazing Riffs! God blessed him with great talent!
Yeah me too
9 years later and still loving this! This was for me the best tone he had with the Duesenberg 🔥🔥🔥
yes

@binkydink824 yeah! he's playing octaves.
Sound like nigel maybe cost
He use Deusenberg Guitar so the price $2500-3000
Gears pedal around $1500
Amp $ 1000
My dream gears 😍

Does anyone know how to get that tone?
What preamp, OD, Dist. Is the guitar one of the reason he could get such tone?
WOW...ESPECTACULAR :O
that's so good :-)
Man, that's nice
