- I Travelled to Rotterdam as Feyenoord faced AZ Alkmaar in the Quarter Final of the KNVB Cup.
it was an amazing experience and once again saw a feyenoord win!

Feyenoord fans are so good, I like in particular the lower stands near the field, where fans stand up for the whole game. I think it's very choreographic.
But what's with the fence between the field and the stands? And why it is all over the stadium? I thought stadiums in Northern Europe were safe. Is the fence always been there?
We already had them due to UEFA sanctions for European matches. Then last year, after an incident with a "fan" throwing a lighter at an Ajax player, they went up permanently.
Also, there is one positive side to this. Eredivisie matches are continuously canceled because fireworks/cups thrown on the field. At least we don't have to deal with that bs anymore.
I see. Where do the most passionate and dangerous fans stay in the stadium, which side? I've always liked Feyenoord because when I was younger I used to listen to dutch electronic music from Rotterdam...
@@ramingo9534 basically the whole 1st ring. But under awayside are matchtickets only(no season tickets)lot of youngsters. Other side behind goal is most fanatic and only season tickets.

Only in big matches is the atmosphere reasonable. the rest of the season it is quiet and overrated. Feyenoord fans think they are great, but they complain when Ajax fans say that they are good.
