As someone who speaks italian and learning french I'm learning that counting is so much harder in french ahahah to say 91 you should do 4x20+11 it is crazy, children have to learn math before numbers ahaha
Haha, I thought Germans went overboard with numbers! To be honest, this is how I do arithmetic. I try to split things into easier chunks, for instance 7x9 is 7x10 - 7x1 or 30+30+9-6, but of course I don't speak it. It would be ridicules 😂
even if the numbers are relatively similar, Italian is not the same as Spanish it may seem from some words, however the rules and pronunciation are light years away from Italian so it descends from Latin most Italian words in Spanish do not exist or I'm not even a bit like that

I'm also doing Duolingo I'm sure you've heard of it it's an amazing app/site for learning languages, and it has helped me a ton :) I hope that answered your question. And also it's like baby steps, I can't have a conversation with someone in Italian because I'm not ready yet I'm pretty sure I would mess up on some words but you know... Lol

Because Italian, French, Romanian, Spanish and Portuguese are all romance languages (derived from latin) so they will sound similar
